Climbing 551 steps to the cupola of St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican. Actual climb took more than 30 mins. Out side temp 33° C, inside - more + huge humidity. Never the less - it was totally worth it!!!
I am claustrophobic and know I would never go up those stairs. Thank God for people like you, without fear, that can show the rest of us this wonderful experience… Thank you!
i did it 4 years ago, good lord it was horrible. im not claustrophobic but of course after a certain point you're sideways and can barely move without hitting your head. the view is cool on top but tbh not worth it. and you go back down too
I am claustrophobic and I didn’t know what I was getting myself into. It was very crowded and I was very close from just passing out! I actually wished that I would die immediately. I highly don’t recommend it at all to anyone who is claustrophobic
The dumbest thing I ever did was to not bring water with me. I climbed those stairs and when I reached the tight steel stairs near the top I had to stop because I started seeing spots. I was sweating profusely. I didn't know how further I had to go. I was thankful for the many people that offered me a sip from their bottled water and the ones that asked if I needed medical attention. At one point there were no people passing so it was silent and I was started to feel scared and alone, and I thought to myself as I was lying down in a clear section, if I were going to die this would be the place to do it. After a while, I was rested and it was only about twenty steps until I reached the top. People clapped when I finally made and were glad I was okay. The view was just spectacular. Big advice: be in shape and BRING WATER!
I been there yesterday I came back half way I couldn’t breath very narrow and it’s so hot here in Rome 30 degrees. I’m glad you guy’s made it.up there.🙌😘😇 God bless you both.🙏✝️💯👌
What's the Logic to use the italian🇮🇹 Word Cupola when you have the english term Dome?🤔 By the way that Cupola was built in the 16th century and it's taller the US Capitol itself. But for americans italians are only pizza makers, criminals, ice cream Sellers and so on. Never seen an American movie with an italian scientist, architect, Explorer.
