@@callmerokaleta1823 Get one, just make sure they fixed the timing chain tensioner. I’ve had my 2014 since new with no problems. Check my page for a couple of videos.
@@cyka4789no this is 2.0 tsi turbo. The 5 cylinder is a 2.5 liter naturally aspirated engine. Which they did away with in 2015. VW/Audi does make a 5 cylinder turbo called the “DAZA” engine. It’s in the Audi RS3 and Audi TTRS. They should have put that motor in the Golf R but they didn’t. A few people have done the swap this year though. Now that’s an absolutely beautiful sounding engine.
Best customer service, I 100% recommend this place , don't forget best performance and appearances for your money . I saw this car in person its amazing! !!!
I got a 2016 GLI waiting on the turbo mods to be available :) Edit: I have a Gen3 GLI with an IS20 swap... Once I get used to the is20 I will go IS38 then jump to big boy power! ;) Check it out if you like GLI'S.. I have a HOW TO on the IS20-IS38 swap for the Gen3 engines! edit #2 ; IS38+ putting down roughly 380+ crank waiting on meth injection kit! edit #3 ; Garrett GT2260s is the move!
honestly i dont think there will be, its not the same platform as the gti's for that motor it would big turbo or nothing, they dont sell k04 or any is turbos that would fit that car
It's obviously a bigger turbo, but I wish they would just say what the hell the put in it. Also...I noticed some of the comments below: one guy asked about 2.5L? .. from my experience, straight pipe exhaust and intake, 5 cyliniders have restricted power anyway. After that, Stage 1 tune, without a turbo -forced injection there's not a whole lot more to do. You could do a front body kit GLI or GTI conversion maybe for more free air but it might not work so well if the car isn't turbo so idk.. For the 1.8t SE guy, I have the same thing... intakes alone don't add more horsepower, downpipes and exhausts usually do. That, Stage 1+ ...good suspension and Enkei' wheels (lightweight wheels)...we're good to go! Stage 2 and beyond..you'll need deeper pockets and more parts.
Whitefeather008 it’s been 4 years since you made this comment but i have a 350 ish WHP jetta 1.8t (not a GLI) and i have been launching from second ever since it went over 250 to the wheels. first gear is useless
It was actually chosen over the GTI because of the gearing in the GLI's 6sp transmission. The GLI doesn't have to leave 5th gear by the time he finishes the 1/4 mile, whereas the GTI needs to get to 6th, otherwise he's redlining. That's why the most boring car in it's time was chosen.
I have a mk6 jetta 2.5L n/a. My dream is to get it to at least 350hp. I have no clue on how I could get that much power out of this engine, any ideas or pointers?
so maybe someone can school me here. I am looking for a turbo for a 2013 GLI. I have looked around. I have seen people put a KO4 in there but I just talked to someone and they said it would not fit. I am lost.
I had a 396 wheel horsepower srt4 neon and I used to push my seat forward far enough to wedge my palm to elbow in between the steering wheel and seat bolster to try to keep the torque steer from ripping it out of my hand while shifting
Point of information. We don't know how if this is fastest Jetta in the universe to not as its top speed is not tested here. But it's pretty darn quick.
This is awesome. I have a mk4 jetta 1.8t and when im done building ill be able to push 800ish but ill prob run 650 for a reliable build. Want to make things last for a street car u know ;)
Umm, no. It broke the 11-second barrier. Think about it. Same thing as that we're living in the 21st century, even though we haven't reached the year 2100 yet. Makes sense when you think about it.
you know I have a 2.5 MK6 5 cyclyder 170 horse. I want to put my car at about 225 h. What should I start with first ? Don't say get rid of it, you honda geeks lol, luv u all, but if I could get that car to that horse, it's all over around here. I have a secret after that. With these engines , cams, and stroke, that's digging deep. I have 3 little babies so I need to get to the store quik!
Rolling burnouts at highway speeds, vicious torque steer that nearly pulls you into curbs and ditches. Anything over 250whp per tonne is pretty well undriveable on the streets without boost per gear, advanced launch and traction control, and even then your clutch grabs annoyingly hard. I'm making 200 wheel in a 2100lb golf and with brand new tires I cannot pull away on more than a slight incline without chirping the tires, it's supercharged as opposed to turbocharged so my power curve is f'd.
