I have never milled a live oak, but she looks a lot like the chestnut oaks we have up here. Throw it in the back of the truck and head north. We will make some sawdust!! Thanks for the shout out. Stay safe and watch for those FL snakes! Crazy.
My current tractor is the 5520c 48hp, and I love it. I grew up on 300hp JD's, but I only own a 130 acre hobby farm now, I didn't need anything that big anymore.
The Branson tractor is a beast. I watched Kap use his Bransons on Kapper Outdoors. Nice to have a cab tractor. The counter ballast is key to safe lifting of something that large. Enjoyed the video, Hank. Keep having fun.
LOL! Good day Hank. Your lovely wifey was so funny - she's not supposed to point out our stains on our shirts.LOL! We all got 'em. :)) We're proud of 'em. Just kidding. But it was pretty funny. Thanks for taking us along. Cheers to you both!
Hey Hank! I just bought my first Branson 2515 a month or two back. Love the thing, got it with the 150 backhoe hoping to grab some side jobs here in middle TN. Borrowing a friends box blade and would like to get some jobs re-grading driveways. All I need is a 18 -20ft trailer trailer, but people want more for a rusted out 15 year old trailer than a brand new one... I catch all your videos, your the best one on here..
I'd heard of Branson before I ever saw one of your videos because I'd been doing some really open-minded shopping over the past couple of years. I ran across your channel while I was trying to learn more about them, and that's how I discovered the 2515... Which I ordered one of today. Thanks for your help!
Sure is a nice tractor Hank. I see why you named it Brutus. You got to get Brutus's name on there. maybe on window or a place easy to remove later. Thanks for sharing.
Nice video. I've definitely heard of and looked at Branson, but you are giving them a ton of exposure with your videos. You're really able to show their capabilities and functionality. I'm sure many more folks will learn about these great tractors with your videos!
I had not heard of Branson before y'all introduced "Brutus" ...But now that I know, they seem to make hard working tractors designed to go the distance! Very impressed! 👍 I'm excited to see what all else he's capable of!☺ Moving that tree and stump was very impressive! Way to go, Brutus!! 🚜
Make sure you subscribe with the notification bell on so you can see when we post new videos. We did this one a week or so ago : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cotMaBoAWts.html
Never really heard of Branson but just found out have one of the best dealers in Texas one hour away from me. Thinking about getting the 5520C or CH in place of my JD 3032E
After a good look at all the other brands and I had decided on another one, I was made some discoveries about the Branson's. Took a look. Tried one out. Real impressed!Bought it the same day. 3725c. With backhoe attachment. Note, series 25 were the upgrade of the 20 series with premium add ons and a heavier, beefed up frame. Now the 20, and 25 series are merged with the upgrades incorporated. 35 to 55 hp available I believe. The weight of my tractor make my 37 hp tractor much more capable then rhe higher hp JD I was used to using. I am absolutely pleased with my Branson choice. They need to work on spreading their product's information wider like others. If they do a sales boom will follow!
Awesome job very nice Tractor oak is heavy . Close I was thinking 2500 . I use to Operater a wood Mizer for my dad for Years. In the process of getting a mill now 👊
Branson in my view is a very nice Tractor. A lot of steel and solid components. The Million dollar question everyone wants to know is,,, Have you become a Branson man and said goodbye forever to your Mahindra 4540? Thanks Mark.
@@HamiltonvilleFarm Hank I thought you would never get rid of that Tractor the way you always talked about how much you liked it, great Videos keep them coming !!
That Branson really is a brutus. Wow. I've already subscribed to RTH. They do have good content and do a lot of interesting stuff. Also Hank I'm a Fellow West Virginian as well. Take care my friends.
Heare in south Brazil this tractor would be successful, we have very small farmers, so this machine is perfect to do small services... Would sell a lot
Another great video Hank, that is quite a log you picked up. I would not want to try it where I live in north Georgia with all the hills. I am about 50 miles from the Branson distribution center in Rome, GA.
Swap out those tires for Ag tires and you won't spin so much. Maybe a side by side test of two 5220 tractors, one with industrials tries like what is on there and one with ag tires for your next video :-) Thanks for the video. I have been looking at getting one of these. No computer!!!! Simple, rugged, reliable tractor. If the emissions stuff give you a problem, its's real easy to cut it off and slap on a muffle....since no computer! (not that I would ever do that ;-)
Hank, next time cut the top loose and use the trunk to help unscrew the stump out of the ground. Use the leverage to your advantage and you never showed how sharp the saw was. And remember firewood or find a sawmill like you found the 310, 6 and grader! GBWYall!
What happened to your mahindra? You should make a video on that if you haven't. Trade in? Sell? Keep? Pros and cons one virus the other ect. I have a 5570 open cab. And I love the power. But really feel like it's more than I need at the moment and have considered trading in for a smaller cab tractor
We sold it. The Branson has more power and lift capacity of my other tractor and the Branson company as a whole has been better to work with. The Mahindra's are good tractors, but Branson is a better choice
Im looking at getting this exact tractor but I cannot decide on the Branson 5520ch or the Kubota MX5400HSTC. There is nothing online that I have found comparing these 2 tractors. I know that Branson was recently bought by TYM so I dont know if they are doing away with the Branson name or whats the future hold for them. Does anyone have anything that helps compare these 2 tractors? Thanks guys
I have heard of it. Lived in Oregon and they were pushed by a dealer in Salem or Eugene somewhere about 10 years ago...but seemed like off brand at the time. I couldn't figure out who actually made them, and the dealer network was literally one! There's a local dealer here in San Marcos TX that carries Branson and Kioti.
I watch RTH and many more like.... Outdoors with the Morgans, Out of the Woods, Kapper Outdoors, Josaljo Won, Southern Indiana Living and Sawmill, Iron and Oak Sawmill, Northwest Sawyer, Fall Line Ridge, And more. All these are their RU-vid Channels Names. Enjoy, I know I do.
Hank that Branson is heavier than the orange, blue, or other red tractors in the 55hp class. I think the hydros are turned down from the factory so I think it can do me. It would be nice if the dealers loaded the tires. I’m very pleased with my Branson, but I do wish they could find a way to expand their dealer network. I have a local dealer, but with such a simple tractor, I can’t image needing them.
I know what you need on your loader next lol and it would save you that guess work lol .. I have a Loadrite scale on the skidsteer that feeds the cattle lol its pretty cool tool
Good afternoon Hank beautiful machine love to see a back hoe loader from Branson like kubota and ur camera lady is fantastic and love the banter she has with u Hank 😂
Yes, but they operate as two independent companies. But the technical answer to your question is yes. Between the three you listed, I'd go Branson, TYM and then LS.
I’m on the fence about buying a Branson 5220H is a beast, and it’s what I need to work my 20 acres. A big concern it that there and no Branson dealerships out here to honor my warranty, or to purchase parts. What can you recommend?
My assumption is it would probably get it off the ground but wouldn't be able to lift it. It was really heavy. The RK55 is a nice Tractor. Hope it treats you good👍
I have four shirts that I wear to the farm and all four have grease stains. Are the hydraulics on the Branson as smooth as your other tractor? My guess is you are still getting use to the Branson, it just seemed to me you other tractor may of been a little smoother. Yet, it could be a simple thing as camera angle.
Ok HANK we know brutes is tuff but popeye likes vegetation. ya your a smart man cuttin this stuff up its the most intelligent thing to do. nice to hear gina's voice finally. oh ya, Brutis is good or Hank wouldn't have him. I know you said YOU don't need firewood BUT what about others??? When its time for fire pits, there's money to be made. Ya I know Florida is warm and moist, but with that comes hamburger eaten wimpy people who wana build a fire. So I guess that's food for thought when it comes to all that wood. OR LIKE YOU SAID SEND IT TO A SAWMILL!!! One way or another there's money to be made. sorry, my brother just thinking in your best interest. Your a very smart man, an I'm sure you can come up with somethin. MY LOVE TO YOU AN GINA AN THE REST OF THE HAM FAM, STAY COOL AN KEEP PUSHIN ON MY BROTHER!!!
HAY HANK HOW FAR IS NORTHEAST TENNESSEE FROM YOU?? HAVE YOU EVER CHECKED OUT ... OUT OF THE WOODS SAWMILL??? Nathan could probably utilize your wood?? If you want me to dry UPI understand I guess I'm just pumped up about the whole wood thing. See that's what I and my wife want to do in Mexico when we retire. Again sorry for thinking, I don't want to be a pain in the *** K...P...O...
So far it has been. I've been very critical of it, because I want to be very honest with my self about the tractor and so far it's has met every expectation.
Hamiltonville Farm I am in the process of buying a tractor, follow you faithfully and that is what introduced me to Mahindra, I was sold on the Mahindra until I saw you had changed to the Branson. Thanks so much for your advise!
They are assembled in the US but are Korean made. You can't get a tractor under 60hp that is not American made now days. Every single manufacturer has their tractors that are 60hp and less made overseas. Including the green one. I appreciate you watching Frank. Take care.
Why are you running with the RPMs so high? You'll just burn that clutch in no time at all. I just can't see the point of that, specially on a geared tractor. I barely go over 1500 RPMs when I'm doing loader work and mainly use the throttle pedal. Don't get this the wrong way. I'm not criticizing. I love my Branson tractor and I appreciate your videos about Branson. We can use more Branson videos for sure.
Getting the max hydraulic flow with the higher RPM's. Plus the engine needs to be ran at higher RPM's to keep the DPF clean so regens are few and far between. Thanks for watching Pedro. I always enjoy your comments. Have a good day brother!
The factory and dealer say the harder you run these, the better. Considering the long warranty I doubt they would say that if not true. Since they will be on the hook for failure for a long time. I own and run semis, and many peices of heavy equipment. Also have worked the massive equipment working in a big open pit mine. By far the hard working of diesel engines is better then babying them if you want a full life from them. Big misconceptions on diesels compared to gas engines maybe?
Hank, I don't want to smart mouth you but I do get discouraged when you have been on something for a while and you still are mystified as which lever closes the log clamp or opens them so as to get a grip on say that log.... I am only suggesting cause I think your more of a visual kind of guy. The metal in the lift frame on that tractor is not its weak point. Fear can stop progress quick an I think if you were to watch some of the videos that Andrew Camarata has on his channel it might just get you over that hump. You do good for a city guy... not saying so much that your city but just not done much of yet. He started on his channel when he must a been seventeen or so and he is in his early thirties and very versatile yet he didn't even know how to drive a car when he started but his thing was saving some money and building his "castle 🏰 ... its all conexes and it is welded and walls with cement and now a huge metal roof and he used what he learned doing driveways to building by watching some and buying the very least amount of equipment to do things... that has changed a lot since then but knowing you as little as I do, know that you really appreciate things and are not wasteful, just not knowing all yet. His camera work has gotten pretty good and just about everything he does is a learning experience. I am very sincere when I say this, I am not out to hurt your feelings at all. I think that you want to learn as you remember stuff now when starting stuff and do way better than when it was just a crescent wrench hammer! Now if I did hurt your feelings, I am sorry. I really am as I like you and always give you a like as your trying your best. I used to watch videos that my granddaughter made of me and it helped me correct stuff I didn't know I was doing.
couple of things. 1. I like Andrew;s channel. 2. The couplers for the hydraulics for the grapple on the tractor are both female. The couplers on the grapply are both male. Sometimes I plug them in and the open function is to the left, sometimes I plug them in and the open function is to the right. So what I did to remedy this is to put a zip tie on matching hoses so that they will be the same from now on. I actually put the zip ties on after this video. Also, this third function is push a button and move the joystick to actuate the grapple. the Mahindra, which I had 300 hours on was a simple rocker switch. I have a total of 12 hours on this tractor and about 2 of those are with this new style third function switch. I'll get there. I don't take your comment as hurtful at all. But there are underlying elements that contribute to your findings. New systems will take time to learn. Have a great day Morgan. Take care buddy.
@@HamiltonvilleFarm Boy Howdy with the shape the chain saw was/is in a circle or band mill will be VERY interesting. I'm just glad I'll be under the bed HERE when you start sawing with whatever it'll be! Come to think about it I might go hide in the quarry!
I hate to hear you are selling the Mahindra. That is one reason I watched. I have a mahindra and enjoyed the videos of service. Guess I’ll have to find a new channel.
We don't want you leaving! We'll still make good content for everyone to enjoy. I appreciate you watching but if you feel like we're not for you anymore, hope you reconsider and stick around, if not, we appreciate your time that you did spend with us
