Got my heart pumping, I have a nostalgia super stock car, 64 max wedge dodge, been about 10 years since it has been on the track, here in Michigan the season is almost over, if I survive the winter, would like to get my car out, thanks for your channel .
That was a good video. what a lot of people don't understand is you take the number you ran over your dial in and add it to you reaction time to get your true number so if you ran two tenth over your dial in and your reaction time was three tenths your total in five tenths. so if your dial in was five eighty your real et was five eighty-five. so the better you cut a light and the closer you run to your dial in the harder it will be for the other guy to outrun you he must have a lower total time than you at win.
This was a great video. I really enjoyed all the technicals, both mechanical and rules. Lots to absorb. The last time I ran a quarter mile was in 1967 in my 1948 Cadillac ambulance with a flat head v8 pumping out about 140 horsepower. Ran N stock and would hit the mid 23's with it. Love the sound of the Vette, next to oldies it is the best sound from my childhood.
Need a shield over that u-joint. I've witnessed a cap launch through the roof of a car before. Some of the shrapnel did injure the driver. Really cool car! I think y'all did a good job of explaining index racing.
You guys have nothing to be ashamed about, going from is this engine gonna run? to getting into the finals, hey well done, thanks for a excellent video.
Yeah, the part many people don't understand about "Racing", is how you can go 'Too Fast' and then you lose. Because everyone thinks that a race means the fastest car wins.
Ro Ro Ro... What a car it is?😮😮 Zack Best Wishes...😮😮 And to make sure this can be used for Racing..... Lot's of Best Wishes from me Deepak Shrikhande Sir Jalgaon Maharashtra India....🧘🧘🧘 Wishing Positive reply 👆
Beautiful car!! Nice racing! especially after a pretty big layoff and changing lots of stuff. I thought you did a great job of explaining a rather complicated bracket and index racing event!! and how it works!! Great all around!!
Nice, Great job you guys... My 69 Nova running that custom 427, (experimental bearings in the lower end, and on the cam, Custom pistons, I would launch in 3rd, grab 4th then finish in 5th, typical bracket car stuff, I truly want to build another car for doing this, but again the money isn't there for my game at this time... However, if things work in my favor I might be able to build another car... there is a track here in Tulsa for testing, and tuning, not sure on cost... But things may work out for me to try again... I really miss Drag Racing,
Ok, so index racing is sort of like the handicapped league the disc golfers play at my home course. Thats pretty dang cool, and i suspected it was something like that. What an interesting topic and really cool footage!
good video . please can we see the dragster. i miss mine and i doubt i will ever race again as in the uk we only have 1 dragstrip left. santa pod. i used to race at york.
Awsum video and as usual a great explanation. I can’t wait to see your motor home and welding Truck parked on the lawn at the White House. You’ll make a great President Zach 💪💪💪💪💪
ZACH I LOVE YOUR OIL MOVIES . . (NOTICE !!!) THEIRS A GUY THAT RAN DIESEL OR GAS ENGINES ON 10% CRUDEOIL AND 90% SALT WATER FROM A WELL.HIS NAME WAS PAUL PANTONE .ITS A CARBURATOR A 12 YR OLD CAN BUILD WITH PLUMBING PIPE . ITS VERY EFFICIENCY AND IT IS USED IN AUSTRALIA'S OIL FIELDS AND NO NEED TO PUMP SALT WATER BACK INTO THE GROUND . BUILD ONE AND PUT ON YOUR CHANNEL
1 gallon of fuel would have taken care of the whole thing. Paint, rubber, seats, the whole yard... Just imagine how much $$$ could have been saved! Edit: Oh, and this guy could have enjoyed it for longer than 15 seconds lol
@@corydriver7634 I've seen some of the really janky things he's pieced together as well. It's also not his car and never questions people's ability to try to become Darwin award winners
@@jlo7770 open drive lines are common even in faster cars than this. It's not something I'd do though. Steve Morris Engines wagon is a 5.90 capable car in the quarter mile with an open drive line.
We should race. I have a Division 1 title and my 70 Cuda would make you look way too slow in the 1/4 mile. His shift timing does not matter. Its off the line and down the track.
That's a great car, a mix of old and new. I love the instrument panel with all the factory gauges even if they don't work. The weight penalty of all the trim is worth it to have such a cool old skool dragster. We have 1/4 mile racing here and I have only seen 1/8 mile once. Have fun, be safe, and win races!.
