This is beautiful. Brings me back to the late 90s/early 2000s when I used to do micro braids in my own hair. This is a style I've wanted to do on my daughter but she only wants knotless smh. Now I can reference this video.

I love this style it reminds me of the wet and wavy human hair we used to do microbraids in the 90's and early 2000&s👍🏼👍🏼❤️❤️

My hair is like this right now. A little bigger braids. But i love it! Only takes a few hours depending on how small the front is. I like to go all the way around and crochet the middle so when i pull my hair up is still cute and can't tell it's not full head braids. or make sure invisible knots method to hide the braids underneath and tease the edges so it looks like my hair. Just change up colors style abs length. It Last 2-3mths, even longer if you take care of it. You can still wash and conditioner oil your hair. So it's great

It was 1986, this was my prom hair. Head fully braided with micros with human hair French refined wet and wavy 22 inches,back in the day it was called a Braid Weave. Singer Jody Watley was the first person I saw with the style.

We use to do our hair like this in the early 2000's...I think I might be getting it done to finish out 2022

About 20 years ago I did this but with a sew in middle. Was just thinking about crocheting and here you are! It looks so good. This will be perfect for my beach trip at the end of the month 😍

I remember in the 90s this was popular, it was micro around the perimeter and sew In the middle. Because we used human hair for the micros we used to use crazy glue to seal the ends. That means we have to braid it past your natural hair . Wow bring back memories

This style is simply beautiful, but why put more tension on the edges? Why braid hair that is hanging on by a strand literally? Braids is not a style for a problem scalp and edges. My suggestion would have been to cornrow her natural hair not tightly and put a wig on daily. So at night she can take it off and put a bonnet on. I would oil and massage my scalp every 2 to 3 days and allow growth. This style ain't it, but it looks very nice.
