The Evo has finally come to an end, and Matt Wallin's string of performance cars may have as well. He purchased his 2015 Evo X Final Edition with the intention of keeping it forever, and within 400 miles, the car was making 565-wheel-horsepower with stock parts being few and far between.
Matt's passion for cars though goes hand-in-hand with his role as a son, husband, and dad, and it shows in the way he shares his hobby with his family. Truly the culmination of a car guy.

Yea you should feel the tq after I put those things on. Like a whole new car. Haha.Oddly enough that's the cheapest "mod" on the car and it's what gets complimented the most by the general public.

Makes me sad that they don't make the Evo anymore😭😭I have always loved them. I had seriously thought about purchasing a final edition, but ended up buying a 2016 STI. Not a subie fan boy here, but rather a car lover. I respect what both the STI and EVO have done to push the performance market.

DronesJumpingIn if u had money to buy an STI u could have buy an evo. I own one and they are awsome. If u get one, one day. Get recaros, but that is on u. Also if u get one I didnt put too much power cuz it will not last long. U will be buying trannys like 5 times a year. But that is one u. Mine has 500hp. And its awsome #evosandsubiestoghether

DronesJumpingIn u got a great choice by getting an STI I actually used daily a 2015 STI. But I live in South Florida so I really didn't need one so I sold it and bought an Evo 8. My daily driver it's a Lancer.

Mr. Stockblock937 During the time the 2015 model came out they were selling super up market. I saw a 2015 used base GSR with 16,000 miles for $36,000. Keep in mind that there were still brand new 2015s for sale that were like $38,000. FE evos were like $43,000 where I lived. So it isnt a suprise that some people got brand new WRX STi cause they were like $34,000. $2000 less than a used GSR. And you can make the argument that you could have got a older one for cheaper. But that used car with probably 40,000 miles vs a brand new car is a hard choice.

last of the bulk purchase, had to make a new one and knew if they did they would have massive over stock. Knew they were out after 2015. Sucks but it probably really didn't make sense on paper.

superdacoolman seats had to have air bags for 2015. Mitsubishi and Recaro wasn't willing to redesign the seats for air bags for one year of production.

patrick balagtas true, but I sold my 2012, and swapped in Recaro's front and back out of a wrecked 2014 evo with 4000 miles on it for $1200.

Mitsubishi could have facelifted it, put in some forged conrods and an mhi 18k from factory and it would be making 450bhp plus and called in evo 11. everyone would love it

I am so ungrateful. I have a evo '15 pushing 400whp e85 tuned by road race, and I don't even drive it.... It sits in the garage with currently 28k miles. It's crazy to see how many people wish they had one and I'm sitting here not using one... Dawm I need to be more grateful and start driving it more. Exterior wise I have everything this gentleman has but with black rpf1's and no wing. Great video brotha! Going to start driving my car now.

Matthew Wallin if you don't mind, about how much did all this cost? How much is the new stuff you doing going to cost and what power will you end up at. Reason I'm asking: I asked a well known local tunner how much it would cost to get my bone stock 2014 evo x gsr to 600whp. He told me around 17k and 25-28k if I go with a built motor. That just sounds like a bit too much. My budget is 10-15k.

This is truly inspiring next year my Accord is getting a new paint job new darker tint 5% all around the back 15% on my front doors and 35% on the front windshield new wider low offset rims fender flares Megan sideskirts a rear lip a new performance clutch and a new turbo kit I'm keeping my F series for reliability longevity and because its natural a 300hp turbo kit should boost my car with a few other basic bolt on performance mods like an aluminum radiator and camshaft

I loved my 08 Evo X...right up until I have to drive it on the highway. It was a daily driver, and the drone became unbearable after I went ham with the mods. The FP Black's boost lag was also more than I hoped to deal with. Can't say I don't regret selling it though, still got posters of my Evo hanging around the apartment.

Watching the video really puts me on the spot to get one while there still some on the lots. However it's been the same style since 2008. Interior isn't that great, but it can always be upgraded. I don't know $40k seems little to much for me for plastic dash and no leather seats.
