Nice Bass. Must be a late 65 because the 65 I had has the clover tuners. That one has the oval tuners of CBS.

Great video. Would a 65 and 64 Jazz bass sound the same since you indicated that Fender did not implement the CBS changes until 66? I have seen 65 J bass necks with both the L series serial numbers and the F plates? What would cause that? Was it because there was just a box of both L series and newer plates and it was up to fate which 65 bass received an L series versus the F plate?

"It's still worth saving for sure" as if it was a post-65 CBS it wouldn't be? lol
