The Sts-v are usually really good sleepers especially since not many people know they even existed or that they have almost 500hp under the hood. The Sts-V in this video is a smig to loud for sleeper status though. I have been searching for a few months trying to buy one a go the sleeper route and then add a bit more power.

Damnn I remember seeing this like 4-5years ago and saying damnn I wish I had a V sedan since I love both sts-v an cts-v........ Now fast foward to today and now I own a 04 CTS-V with a LQ9 swap with couple of mods loving it lol!! But you still own the STS-V bro??

Featuring the Northstar multi valve engine promising the power to rule the universe. Cadillac was really pushing hard to be chosen over its Asian and European competition. If anything this generation gave up-and-comers like Lexus and Infinity a battle to stay relevant. Cadillacs style was really taking on a distinctive shape in the new millennium. No other automaker would be fitting to imitate the STS. During this era Cadillac’s price tag became larger and was the biggest separator between them and their only domestic luxury competitor; Lincoln.

I would love to see you take some weight out of it, add a converter and cam, and run e85 and advance the timing. Its fast right now, but it would be insane then, maybe even add an electronic cutout to relieve the backpressure and see if boost will drop but power will come up. I would mod mine but its warrantied for the time being and I have had to use it a few times.

I love it! It's so sad that GMs DOHC tech. was abandoned. The latest CTS is probably a better car than the neglected STS - especially the interior. The CTS-V is a wicked fast car - but the LSA is just doesn't have the charisma and exclusivity that the Northstar had. There is no such thing as a "Cadillac Engine" anymore. All that said, i'd take THIS STS-V over the CTS-V (just too bad there's no manual tranny option.). Not that i could afford any of them, FWD Seville will have to do for now.

The STS-V is underrated. Sad that GM didn't put some more R & D into making these DOHC Northstar V8 engines better. For god sakes, even Hyundai gets to have a DOHC V8 while GM is afraid to make a good DOHC V8 motor.

Is that factory installed or aftermarket? My experience is factory installed is the way to go because most gearheads will slap on a supercharger without first taking the time to rebuild the engine. If you have the time, it's more advantageous to to let the engine seat with the supercharger.
