one detail i love about dialga and palkia’s origin forms are that they are “made in the false image” of arceus, and lose what made them their own entity. dialga’s throat is obscured - losing its roar of time, and palkia loses its arms - making it unable to use spacial rend
Also, 3:24 gives us an addition to the absol cinematic universe lore, proving he lives in the universe of pokemon moon or ultra moon, where the day night cycle is shifted 12 hours,
No joke, I used that timezone thing to try and see where he lived, and I spent way too long looking at timezone maps and concluded Texas. Then he showed an image of Rowlett, which is IN TEXAS So that was a waste of time
Ngl, I genuinely thought Cyllene, being an ancestor of Cyrus, would been the bad guy. Or have something negative to do with the plot. No, she's literally so wholesome. How did the apple fall so far from the tree?
According to an NPC in Route 228, apparently it’s due to Cyrus not getting the actual love and care he should’ve gotten growing up. His grandfather said it was partially his own fault for not helping Cyrus, so Cyllene can be seen as what Cyrus could’ve been if he had a happy home life. Which honestly makes a little bit more sense when you realize that his parents probably did love him but since the family doesn’t show emotion well it probably lead to miscommunication (though since his grandfather admits to not being there when Cyrus needed him I think the opposite is more likely to be true).
@@browserjunior4707 You got everything right except your assumption that Cyrus’s parents did love him, but just has trouble showing it. That’s not true at all. There’s an old couple in Sunyshore that says his parents crushed him under the weight of his expectations. No matter how good a student he was, he could never live up to them, so he was never given any affection or love growing up. So he ended up becoming a recluse and preferring the company of machines over people-continuing to study and develop skills well past his years. His only friend was a Rotom that happened to possess one of his toy robots, that he played with for some time until it suddenly disappeared from his life not long after. Cyrus left behind a journal with entries about his time with it in Platinum. His grandfather on Route 228 was aware of the neglect and abuse Cyrus has gone through. His regret comes from wishing he could’ve taken him in and given him the love he so desperately needed. The reason Cyrus came to the conclusion that human emotions are the cause of all suffering is because of his own bad experiences and warped upbringing, and his studies with the underdeveloped emotions that he had caused him the genuinely beliefs the only reason conflict exists is because of emotions holding us back and making his lash out or think irrationally. It’s why he ends up trying to suppress his own. He’s a pretty tragic character. Sure, he tried to recreate the universe, but Volo tried doing the same thing and his only motivation was because he was too curious and too desperate for knowledge for his own good.
@@komarunaegi7460 I know that’s why I said that even if it was a possible theory that’s why I don’t think it’s true and that the story of “his parents didn’t give him the love he needed” is more or less the right telling of events. I only introduced a theory not a fact and acknowledged that it’s likely to not have any ground aside from speculation.
I'm always glad when I see someone else recognise Ingo and Emmet. Unfortunately he made me cry violent tears the first time I played his section. He's been one of my favorite characters for ages along with Emmet... And the more you think about the implications of their relationship being affected by what happens to him, the more it hurts.
I dont think anyone else is as heartfelt and genuine with their productions about these games. Excellent work as always Matt, here's to good gauntlet luck!!
I know someone that does much more and has been talking about the gen 4 lore for like 7 years, exposing things such as the plate inscriptions that this fandom has been fully clueless about for 16 years. He gives an explanation to everything in the Pokemon lore, he publishes his entire blind run + a stream run with another famous online gamer while also commissioning an original OST and intro for it, meaning he paid for the animation and asked a famous OST-composer to make it for him. I really have absolute 0 respect for the Pokemon fandom cause it's just pure autism, but Cydonia is a legend and someone truly able to appreciate the genius behind these and any game
1:40:45 yoooo legends Kalos would be WILD. Don't know if they'd ever do it bc being in a literal war seems a bit much for Pokemon (idk I haven't played pokemon conquest which I'd assume is the closest they've gotten to it? What's the plot of that one?) But might be an amazing idea for a fan project.
Or Johto - since timetravel is basically Celebis whole stick. And we have plenty to explore here - the burning of Tin Tower and creation of legendary beasts (which could solve the mystery of who were those "nameless pokemon"), the connection of people of Blackthorn city with dragon pokemon, the rainbow/silver wing and clear bell, etc.
As someone who’s played Conquest- Somebody is trying to forcefully take over a region, so you do the exact same thing against him. And then catch god. So, yeah, it’s just war. (I think it’s a collaboration with a series that’s very similar to Fire Emblem, so sorta like that.)
@@wozaow I had Conquest years ago when it came out, and like it again, but to be honest I just liked the artwork and didn't follow, nor remember, the story haha.
@@Kairos_Akuma ive played alot of conquest interestingly they had a cool easter egg where in some of the challenge modes rarely a cave would open up in one of your kingdoms containing a legendary, did this contribute to anything? no.. you cant even transfer it and it gets erased on your next challenge mode (the game expects you to play each challenge) but it was a mad cool easter egg that you could sometimes end of a challenge with like a heatran instead of the usual set up, also the main villain (i think his name is nobunaga? (i beat the main story ages ago) has some pretty cool stuff, for one he doesnt really control the region with a iron fist rather he wants to own it from the shadows, heck most of the kingdoms are A ok with him as there owner and most of there cultures are completely unaltered the problem lies in the fact that all of the facilities and such in each kingdom are set to level 1 before you arrive witch is a cool way to show how he isnt funding them properly, and as a final note though this is probably the most well known part of conquest, nobunagas ace pokemon is a shiny rayquaza with your ace at the end of the story being arcues sorry if that was a long message i just love conquest and i very rarely get to discuss it online
Watching you discover everything spoiler free was so cathartic, it was great seeing you with that child-like excitement you no doubt felt all those years ago when a younger Matt first forayed into this amazing series that connects us all. I thoroughly enjoyed this movie, thank you for sharing your journey with us!
Congratulations on your insane shiny luck! I'm stuck grinding for a shiny hisuian zorua at the moment, so hopefully I'll get some of your luck by watching this.
Good luck! I've been doing the same thing for myself. I'm trying to avoid mass outbreaks since I know it's easier to find shinies that way (I've found several through that method).
I love coming back to this movie every so often and it brings back memories of my own playthrough. (I won't be able to get my hands on Scarlet for a month but if it's anything like PLA, I'll be happy. I've heard good things from my friends (aside from the bugs ofc)...) PLA is such a game-changer, honestly. It was like a real version of what Pokemon *felt* like to play when I was much younger. It's been many months since it was released and it still doesn't feel quite real. Thank you Lord Arceus of Cellphones
Hey absol, haven’t even watched the movie and I already know I’ll love it. I was in your stream when you were talking about comments and passive watching the other day and it made realize how I really should comment something. You’re easily my favourite Pokémon channel and you make some of the best Pokémon stuff on youtube. Gauntlets, movies, shiny hunts, and some great obscure trivia, etc. I watch your videos a whole lot and I just wanted to tell you to always keep up the fantastic work. Have a great day 👍
42 mins in and your luck is absolutely insane lol. Ignoring the other two full odd shinies you found that random shiny alpha buizel is so amazingly rare
"Look forward to this gauntlet where I'll be taking revenge on the trees from discouraging so many people from playing Sword and Shield" That delivery honestly made that line 5 times funnier
Honestly was really looking forward to you doing the manaphy quest. The only reason I went through it without a guide is because you pointed it out in your shining pearl movie cause I just read that thinking is was just some old legend, probably one of your best calls yet. Also neat to see you use a shiny overqwill too in your playthrough lol
Extremely hyped about this. BANGER thumbnail. If your reactions and commentary on the crown tundra are any indication, then this movie is about to be really good. EDIT: This movie really did be really good. 👍
A little late, but wow did you do incredible on this. I’m so extremely impressed that you put this together in such short time, especially the quality of this video, resemblant of the quality of the game. Everything from the thumbnail artwork to the way you captured all of your thoughts in an informative manor accurately captures the experience, even if I knew exactly what was going to happen. Also, Plish Plash gang rise up!
Words cannot explain how much I love this channel. The amount of effort in the fields of emotion, content quality, and humor is mind blowing. Keep the good work, bud.
From the aesthetics, this game is set in the Meiji restoration era (aka late 1800s, yes I had to google it), so the PC is the coolest thing *before* sliced bread 😎
I've watched this twice just because it was such a good time. I love this dam game and it's a game I never thought we'd get as kids. It's nice seeing someone else genuinely love this franchise and enjoy the experience for what it is without negativity.
volo might have to be one of my favorite final villains in the pokemon franchise, he really just seems like some guy with too much knowledge and i like my men insane 😍😍😍😍 his final twist was insane LOL
The first shiny I hunted for was eevee and I turned it into an umbreon. Guess what sweeps giratina? Defensive umbreon. It felt so good that the pokemon I had hunted for at the beginning of the game and kept with me till the end was so instrumental in beating it. Favourite Pokémon game ever.
Not only do you actually know who Ingo is (I've been hunting for playthroughs where people know who he is, I love that twist so much), you've got my favorite Pokemon in your username! Time to binge more videos! Also you've got a chill personality n' you're funny as hell, NICE! Edit: Lol, it looks like Lord Electrode was your version of my Lord Arcanine experience 😆
This was the first game I got to attend a midnight release for! I was literally watching your shining pearl movie when I thought to call GameStop to see when they opened (bc COVID hours) & they were like “hey there’s this too”!!
I was wanting something like this. A playthrough of Arceus that's well-edited and easily something I can throw on in the mornings as I get ready. Love this!
The legend uploads! I have been binging your videos again and your style of editing is so relaxing! I've been super stressed with life, but every time I put on one of your videos they always put a smile on my face. I just want to say thank you for all the good times and all the smiles :)
my theory on the Red Chain is that it did something different in PLA compared to DP/BDSP because YOU gained it with the lake guardians' consent, whereas Cyrus and Team Galactic gained it through force and science.
This Video deserves so much more traction, I have already suggested this video to like 30 people, I have never been in such awestruck while watching something, absolutely phenomenal editing and cinematography. I feel like I just snuck into a movie theater and I want to go back and pay for the ticket. Thank you for this masterpiece, I will keep this video bookmarked and most likely watch it many more times. Keep it up and I can't wait to watch more of your content.
i remember seeing this game through from reveal to release. it changed so much, and im very proud of what it’s become. i was there for the reveal last year, and i was there on launch day, it was magical.
One of my favorite parts of a new Pokemon release is seeing your gameplay movie for it. I loved Legends: Arceus so much, so excited to see your take on it!
These videos always make me so happy. You put so much love and care into them and honestly bring me back to a point that was not even that too long ago where I was playing my ds in car rides flipping through my HGSS Pokedex book. So, thank you.
So epic, I wonder about that plot point potentiality you mentioned with Anabelle and Ingo... maybe you or someone else could assemble some research on this to further theories on this matter💚💚💚
Little late on watching this one but your movie style videos are some of my favorite content of all time. Thanks so much for taking time to make these Matt.
After watching your previous movies featuring fun late night releases, I was inspired to cosplay as Akari when I went to pick up my copy of the game. I had never done anything like that before, but I think it made the experience more meaningful and I thank you for that.
38:47 What's really incredible is that apparently this animation is happening in the real world, given that the tumblestone ore behind Arcanine has a Graveler in it.
I can't believe you already have this movie out, holy crap that's some dedication! I might be SLIGHTLY jealous of your alpha shiny buizel, lol, I finally got my first shalpha around 160 hours in. All your shiny finds were insane, I had like 12 full odds encounters before beating the game.
I loved the music choices you had for the nobles! As soon as I heard the first few notes of Sectonia's theme for Lilligant I was so happy lmao, thanks for your hard work as usual
@@iluvchess14736 I'm gonna guess Runerigus. At least you can get Sirfetch and Alcremie accidently. Good luck with Runerigus even if it takes a big hint as you need to go to the dusty bowl with it.
Thank you for yet another amazing movie! I was really looking forward to this one, and you did not disappoint. I always rewatch (more like listen to) your movies while falling asleep, and since your voice is so calming and your personality and passion are so wholesome it makes me have less anxiety while trying to go to sleep. Thank you and keep doing what you do
Damn I literally just binged your other movie series like last week and I thought "Man I cant wait for his Legends Movie! But that will be awhile from now..." It was in fact not awhile from then.
After watching this video yesterday, I caught a shiny starly at that same exact spawn location :O Only difference is that I had already completed the dex and am still working on research 10 for the shiny charm.
I'm only ten minutes in and loving the editing and laughing my ass off at the oreburgh theme playing Update 1: me and Matt interestingly had a similar first shiny experience, we both found a starly while exploring and had the foresight to save (even if I didn't need to) I just think that's neat
was so excited to see this pop up in my notifications! really enjoying the movie so far, i always like seeing how you react to pokemon and story events, and the things you come up with to accompany the playthrough in the movie. i'm stopping around 52 minutes at the icelands introduction because i haven't gotten there yet, and i want to experience the postgame fight for myself before seeing it, but i'll definitely be coming back as soon as i'm done, and i've loved what i've seen so far. really fantastic work, as always. :-)
I love this movie. By far one of my favorite videos possibly on RU-vid. This game was special, and it always will be in my book. Keep up the awesome work Matt!
Thank you. Thank you Matt for everything you do, really. It gives me this feeling of nostalgia when I watch your videos, it's so peaceful, so nice and super different from everything else on this platform. All the love from Switzerland !
You have done a great service not only did you put this video out that we have been waiting for but, you also brought back the shadow the hedgehog theme thank you sir!
so cool to see your genuine reaction to so many new things! this movie was worth the wait!! i can’t believe you tackled through the game so fast AND managed to find some pretty amazing shinies just casually playing!
i have looked forward to this movie SO MUCH, and it was very, very great!! i enjoyed it a lot, and i love seeing you experience the same genuine joy that i do when playing a new pokémon game. can't wait for what we will get to hear upcoming sunday, and can't wait for your next video!!
The number one thing I look forward to after the hype of a new Pokemon game is your movies. Keep your love for this franchise alive, I anticipate everything you do next! Happy you enjoyed it! :^)
Legends arceus quickly became my favorite pokemon game after i started playing it and wow, this movie made me re-experience everything! I sat here watching this whole video with a giant smile on my face! Amazing video matt!
