596,000 Miles - Why the Lexus ES is the Best Used Mid-Sized Sedan

Greg - Your Car Angel shares why the Lexus ES 300, ES 330 and the ES 350 are the best used Luxury cars to buy. High quality parts, high quality Japanese manufacturing make this the most reliable sedan you can buy. Put those together with highway miles and you get a car with very high miles. 596,000 miles is ultra high mileage. All the older 2002-2006 ES cars were built in Japan. The American and German manufacturers could not match the quality of the Lexus product.

I know someone in Southern California who makes $400-600k per year and just bought this Lexus for reliability. He wanted to buy something new at a dealership but he felt he was getting ripped off through the sales process and just went out and got this. I think he made a smart choice after seeing this video!

🤣 4 years later.. Tell us how much money has he dumped into it repairing all of the dry rotted plastic, pleather and gaskets.. That's the biggest downside of owning an older model car/truck. I know because I own several older model vehicles for that exact reason. They do have some major benefits over newer models, but there are also so major drawbacks that come along with it.

I agree. I have a 2005 ES330 which just turned over 250,000 kilometers, I am in Canada. I bought it in 2007 and it has been serviced by mileage (as opposed to time) by the local Lexus dealership. I just have a bit of rust on the door dividers and a spot on one rear wing which I will have fixed in the summer. As you said the interior is perfect.

Thanks for sharing your experience in your videos! A little about Toyota quality: I live in Bangkok and my brother in law runs a small taxi business with eleven cars. All of them Toyota Corolla Altis. They're all converted to LPG In Bangkok the city allows all cabs to be used maximum 9 years. Each cab runs about 200000 km per year. So when it's time for retirement of the car the odometer shows around 1800000 km. (approx 1,125,000 miles) They never swap engines or transmission, just ordinary service. Oil and filter is changed every 10000 km. Normally there are no problems with these cars. Everything is working. The traffic is terrible in Bangkok and it's very hot and humid After retirement many cabs are used as a private car and continues to work. So, yes the quality is amazing.
