I'm half way through the vid - . . . What wilkbild said . . . AND . . . * If you want a better finish , cut down your feed rate - .006 per rev is pretty coarse ! ( .006 is fine for ROUGHING CUTS) . . . I'm guessing that your tool is not quite 'on center height' . . . Your dial should be right on the money ! You replaced the cross feed screw , & NUT ! ** Also : when you measure a longer cut , it's PRUDENT to measure each end , and center - to make sure you're not cutting a TAPER ! > > > BACK TO THE SHOW > > > THREAD DEPTH = is ALWAYS "HALF of the difference between the major & minor diameters . . .
