5G will change the world as much as flying cars have changed the world since the 1950's. lol At 8:28 man, that's a big ass 5G phone! I'm staying with 4G for now till they get rid of the cart. xD
@H R < 5G phones put out a maximum power of about 100 milliwatts which is equal to sitting in front of the regular light bulb at home, basically has no affect on the human body no matter long you sit there. 5G tower antennas on the other hand put out up to 100 watts of power which is about 10 times less than a 1000Watts microwave oven. At 100 watts it's impossible to cook anything within minutes but will probably warm up the liquid in tissue after a while at less than half a meter away. Anything further away than a meter won't get affected, and this is where a lot of people have a misconception about microwave radiation, it can only carry significant power at very short ranges. Microwave power dissipates exponentially with distance (looses power quickly with distance). You could stand below the 5G tower forever and never get affected, while a bird landing on it might feel some warming sensation after a while. So being scared of 5G is basically like being scared watching TV. Course conspiracy theorists will also say that TV waves can fry your brains. LMAO The key in life is to use use everything in moderation, including 5G and everyone will be just fine.
@H R < I understand your concern, just keep in mind that a 100 milliwatt (at max, most of the time it's less than half depending on your distance from the tower) transmitter in a 5G phone gets its microwave energy dissipated to a non-dangerous level within inches from the device, which is roughly equal to the radiation of a 100W light bulb in front of you. Most phone calls are still going through the lower frequency GSM-4G-LTE channels, only active data is being transmitted over 5G, at least till they phase out 4G completely. So if you're just browsing a web site it only sends very short burst while fetching data, while video streaming is a continuous transmission. Therefore if you're streaming just lay the phone down in front of you, and you should be fine. Not trying to give you false hopes at all, but governmental regulatory agencies have conducted extensive studies on 5G radiation, and it was deemed safe as long as you don't have the phone glued to your head all day while constantly streaming data. If it makes you feel better, just keep a few inches of distance from a streaming 5G device using wired/wireless headphones or speakerphone. There are dozens of other more dangerous things in life that kill you faster than 5G, including a lightning strike, walking across the street, driving, flying, etc. Speaking of flying, it has been measured that you get more space microwave radiation on a single flight then you do by using a 5G for a whole year. Once again, everything in moderation, and you'll be fine. ;)
@H R < Well, everyone has to make their own decision based on their knowledge of the technology. Based on industry papers I've read, 4G will be around for the next 20+ years as a backup service while 5G is being deployed, so you may opt to use a 4G phone instead. I've been in the phone repair business for over 20 years around plenty of high frequency transmitters for extended periods of time, yet still haven't grown a unicorn, nor have I gotten cancer. lol Just a small correction, when I said "Microwave power dissipates exponentially with distance (looses power quickly with distance)", it means quite literally within inches of the device gets absorb by the air before it reaches your body, it doesn't need to up into atmosphere, nor does it accumulate in the room. So, I'll just leave it at that, and wish you the best. :)
Slow Down dude, cant keep up you fast phase with all those information so i just read the translations awesome skill though you can speak 1000 words in one breath
When I was a kid the only people I knew who had a computer was the Mad Professor on Felix The Cat and Astro Boy's father. Somehow I got through most of my life without a computer and only have a desktop because I prefer a large screen and a mouse and keyboard. I have a 4G smart phone which I use for the phone and a few apps. I have considered winding back my life to how I lived in the 1970's. Maybe I will one day. One thing is sure, I won't be getting any deeper into this computer dependency. Not after the dark secrets I have learned about 5G.
YOU ARE A GENIUS. I have never hear this explained so well (I am a non-tech person). I will share it with my buds; I don't know ANYONE who understands this stuff. We work every day depending on our devices and a seamless network, but not understanding the technology at all. Thank you for explaining and demonstrating it so well. By the way, we see those rectangular antennas going up all over the country and now I know what they are for. Great job!
tom rose it will eventually connect YOUR PERSON and that’s not a joke. We’re all full of heavy metals making us all antennas. Do your own research unless you don’t care about anyone or anything in this world. Like so many others, if you don’t it’s on you!
4g works great, that fast talking sweet story about 5g ain't exciting me, cell phones need more space and better battery life that's what needs to be done. Skipping to the next generation of internet isn't really necessary there's so much more that can be done with 4g. Just my opinion.
bold to assume 5G is only gonna benefit your phone. I bet you don't know the first thing on how it is being used to cure viruses and for VR and AR technologies, not including autonomous cars.
Even with 5G, 4G will still exist. The reason is because of 4G frequencies can pass through walls unlike 5G. 5G is just an physical extension (use when accessible) to 4GLTE that's ever expanding.
people working on telecom tech are unrelated to people working on batteries and storage tech. these areas are unrelated. what you're saying is like telling engineers to stop wasting time on better gadgets and "just" go be a medical doctor to save lives.
@@jasonwade9160 5g will cure viruses in terms that it will allow larger bandwidth and more data to be streamed instantaneously. some companies use a process of folding to simulate proteins and how they will react with different particles they don't mention it directly but imagine what terabit connections would allow, larger simulations and faster run down times foldingathome.org/2020/03/15/coronavirus-what-were-doing-and-how-you-can-help-in-simple-terms/
So basically, 5G which has been around before the Coronavirus started doesn't give everyone Coronavirus. In the Future, 4G LTE Pro has got you covered when 5G goes down for whatever reason. And as more devices get "Online" and start to require more Bandwidth the world will be begging for 6G. Got it. Excellent Content. I Subscribed.
Listen to the testimony of the family it he video here. scientists4wiredtech.com It makes me quake in fear for them and other young families. Please don't slow down! This was a fantastic delivery! To everyone else, you can learn to keep up with information like this. Like everything, it takes practice. Pause after certain bits if you need to process the information. Over time, as you learn more, you won't need to pause as you will have the necessary base information to simply absorb new information. Otherwise, just use the video controls to slow the speed.
Another video misrepresenting 5G technology. 5G is NOT for you to have higher speeds and better quality, loading videos in milliseconds and all that. This technology is built for machines communicating with other machines on a much broader level than ever before. With 5G all smart devices will be linked and connected, from your phone, your smart TV, your car down to your smart refrigerator telling you when you're low on milk. It allows networks to communicate on an unprecedented level to the point where your doctor will know you have a cold when you get up in the morning with a sneeze. It is also the complete and utter elimination of privacy on a never before seen level, with microphones and cameras everywhere you go from your home to out in the streets. Anything you say or do will be recorded and analyzed by artificial intelligence and then categorized by relevance. To give you an example: You walk in a restaurant, a camera will scan your face and the staff will automatically be given a choice of meal suggestions based on your consumption habits, a connection is automatically made between the register and your bank account so you won't have to pull out your wallet. Or another example: You're in your self driving smart car on the way home from work when out of nowhere the car is changing direction, taking you downtown to county jail because the day before you said something very negative about your government which they don't approve of. Fantasy you say? Think again because it's already happening in China, Germany and Austria.

rossforsyth5 he is just using his skill ;) On a serious note, he is trying to convey more content while trying to keep the video small. But instead he should try to deliver the same information in fewer words (by making better use of visual elements etc)
subbed. while keeping up with fast paced content like this is quite a chore, it is sorely needed more and more these days. my brain will chew on it for hours after ive watched the video and just having the tidbits up there will be helpful later on if conversations ever warrant the need to be familiar with different topics. the future is happening faster than ever it seems like!
I just did a speed test on my sprint phone, In Metro Detroit 4g LTE. I got a ping of a whopping 321ms. My download speed was 5.63 Mbps, which is sufficient for watching a video. My upload speed was an atrocious .74 Mbp, which is not enough for me to have a video call. I turned on WiFi and the phone immediately started downloading updates. My Ping was worse at 404, Download was 5.53, and the upload test failed to run. After the updates were done: My ping was 109, down was 7.50 and up was 2.46 I ran the same test on my laptop, on the same WiFi and got: Ping 27, Down 33.50 and up 5.19. Does this just mean my phone sucks and it not capable of handing speed?
phones are very optimized for low power use. low latency also means constant communication, which also means you're using more power. since prolonging battery life is typically more important for most people, phones are optimized to prioritize battery life.
@violetroseish the term S.M.A.R.T. is a military acronym for Secret Military Armaments in Residential Technology. The results of the 20million dollar 10 year trial on phone radiation doesn't look good and US toxicology report doesn't look promising for the industry either.
In watching several of your videos about Gen5, I can see the end of Internet monopilies. It is not your videos alone, but the fast and evolving Internet technologies: A. I., augmented reality, virtual reality, etc. In that , I do not see how the Internet will die just because of rolling back Net Neutrality. It would be nice if you could do a video on what I am saying here regarding. Thank you.
downloaded and played on at slower speed; works for Olde 20th century ears :D one other point. do you see a transition to VLEO Starlink Satellite Connection for Cell Phones / Computer Tablets in the next 10 years...
Just for a bit of balance I am watching this at 2x and don't find it too fast, Philip DeFranco is pretty fast and that goes well for him, now even the iPad and iPhone versions have speed up slow down functions and I love it when the original is fast because that makes the amount of info I can absorb at 2x even greater so good for you :) and I was born in 1980 so that 20th century ear thing is noise ;)
@@melissatubbs7567 That is a matter of contention. There are many conflicting things out there. But 5G is definitely something to be watched. Is your home, house or apartment?

i think future techs _will_ require optimization from the software side of things. it doesn't matter if you have 100gbps if it's obstructed by a single wall. thankfully not everything needs fast speeds, so you could use these services for the low speed but long range bandwidths. android apps like whatsapp will be able to tell the OS which traffic is low speed but high demand (like messages) so the OS can send it with low frequency while other things (videos) should use high frequency.
I still remember when my best friend told me he could watch porn on his phone n i said "your crazy why would anyone do that" That was when I had a 3g phone n he had a 4g phone. _I can't imagine life without instant porn now._
Nice work with the information sharing with the world. Still, there a question - how come you used Ericsson's video's for your own, did you buy the right's?
Just one question when my data package end will my 5G car crash on the road like they cut my internet on the smartphone, cause I don't doubt they will do that 😂😂😂
It is because you might live in a country where unlimited net access isn't the norm. For most of us it has become normal to pay a fixed fee once a month and be surfing away.
Sandeep Jangir: It sounds like a computerised voice to me. I sometimes put the subtitles on if someone is speaking unclearly and keep my finger ready to pause the film. Cheers. Hope you aren't receiving this too late!
Efficient explanation 😊We really don't need millions of devices though. I don't want to communicate with my fridge, okay. I don't want all my electric hardware mapping and sending data to my energy company about what I used when or how many computers I have. I don't want self driving cars either. I don't want my every move tracked and traced by big brother, which is the single reason why governments are spending trillions on "better upload speed". I don't wan't trees cut down to clear the reach of microwaved or MASTS everywhere. It's not worth the cost to nature. Yes microwaves damage both humans and plants, insects are dying of at alarming speed. Many studies prove less growth growth and development in both plants and animals, but the telecom industry are suppressing them to not be easily accessible. Don't sacrifice nature and yourself please. Most people in high positions are eugenicists, mind you. U are cattle to them and your welcome!
Okay here my insight,.. T-Mobile and Sprint are not allowing us to post comments on the channels when they had announced there 5G mobile technology. I believe that's telling a lot when they don't want customer feedback seems like their going to fail in the process because of all this nonsense about we don't need to hear from you guys at this point. As every successful company no have them feedback from the customer correct a lot of things before the products is launched. I myself won't be interested in this product of servicee reason being it's going to be too expensive and too many hidden fees so opt me out.
Anyone else fascinated by the people working on complex problems like this and finding solutions for the vast majority of people around the world? The amout of hard work and dedication required to set up these networks and make them work properly is insane. Some really clever people who work on this, truly amazing!!!!
they looking to make money, current cell technology has been shown to cause cancer, but nobody wants to do more research despite the US making an evaluation every few years, saying we need more research, and 5G is much worse, look it up
@@viniciusbueno2160 There is a lot of evidence to back up that "shit" just you would not give a shit anyway or believe it...why do you think these companies will not fund their own studies on this..It's not hard to find people are are truly qualified who are trying to warn people however, again, people don't want to hear it..as it's all "bullshit" as you would say..
I must be stuck on the 90's because my smartphone 4G downloads data at 125 Kilobites. only when it's conected to the wifi then it's acting like a real 4G thanks to the wifi, not the network, 5G means nothing but companies trying to profit from you with something new that does nothing to your connection speed, you may have to pay extra $$ if you really want that speed.
You and your DNA stops when they fully implement 5G, so well be happy if you even get the chance to experience 6G.. only those who don't get braintumors, cancer or some other illness thx to the almighty 5G is the the only one that will experience it.. xD
Very futuristic is wireless comsumption, even a car can be wireless upgraded, so why don´t we do that now. Thanks for this information about upgrading with 5 G or more in the future.
At 1:10 now that's an O.G. cellular phone folks, not much bigger than today's large screen beasts... as they say history repeats itself... ha-ha Even with 4G LTE I sometimes get 80Mbps down / 50Mbps up... who needs 5G right? wrong!
Could someone explain me how current full duplex solution will cause the problem when we use 5G? I could not understand why doubling the frequency spectrum leads to causing problems with current solution.
funny that the FCC just ruled to change the broadband definition to 10mbps down and 1mbps up. almost makes you think they are going to 2 tier the internet with one group stuck at 2011 speeds and data caps while the other benefits for 5g connectiviy
Good video man! Very insightful. Maybe i'm just overly concerned for no reason (i hope), but it just seems that this is all the more reason that data/connectivity should be considered a utility whether that's for broadband access but also for wireless access. With all these new ways to access content, I fear that the telecom companies will just jack up our rates and market it as just faster speeds on the same services. Am I wrong?
1ms ping, yea I'm sure. I'll believe it when I see it. more likely it's 1ms only because it's still in testing and not in use. line of sight means I'll never see it in my neck of the woods. just give me fiber damn it.. enough with the monopolies.
low latency wireless communication has been a thing for a while, you just don't see it because it's not wifi nor 4G (these are optimized for efficiency and low energy consumption). i work at an ISP and we have antennas that work between 8GHz and 18GHz at constant 1ms in distances of 20km. if you have a logitech lightspeed wireless mouse, that thing works flawlessly at 1ms latency, and it uses the 2.4GHz band.
Thank You Sooo Much iT was 4/Me/ very Very Amazing Keep iT Up iT will take me 20 years to get Your knowledge You did iT in 24 minutes Thank You For spreading iT You Are The Beast of iT Kristoff K.
I read a few things and have seen videos that are concerning, about exposure to all these waves. I'm curious to hear what some of you smart people think of the effects of constant bombardment of these waves on humans, long-term. Now they're going to put 16 antennas on your cell phone? Can't see how that can be good for you. I hope someone can convince me otherwise because I love the tech, just tend to close my legs when I go by those giant antennas. 5G transmission seems like those on steroids!
lol here is 3g not even ready, connections are pretty poor and inside my house very low signal while being 300 meters from the tower-) 4g is even worse i can nearly never use it but dont need it really , for phone use 2g is fine and trusty
AI will need or needs a network that will be extremely fast, hence 5G in order to operate seamlessly. Skynet is where we are headed, hopefully without the hostile robot takeover. Will see where this future society takes us.
First of all thank you for a most informative video. May I suggest that you make a video about VoLTE and how the 3GPP for the first time have managed to create a non standard standard...... Non operator locked Sony Xperia terminals purchased from Telia turn out to work as they should in a private network if and only if the SIM cards are created with IMSI number of the original Telia SIM and if and only if the Telia Mobile network code is transmitted. When a SIM with another IMSI is inserted or if the terminal attach to a network with another MNC the VoLTE function is permanently disabled and can only be restored by shipping the UE's back to Sweden and by buying new real Telia subscriptions. Note that the basic 4G/LTE functionality works with any SIM so the terminal is not operator locked. I have not yet tested with UE's from other vendors but I fear it may be the same. This does constitute a serious problem for anyone that need to deploy a private network. You may ask yourself who needs that when the operators offer such great service at such an affordable cost. The answer is everyone that can not tolerate a power outage and hence make very expensive investments in redundant power, often large diesel generators. Hospitals are prime examples. Best Regards Peter Seybolt
Funny thing about latency of 2ms. For years I have played Call of Duty via a cell phone tethered to a PS4. I wonder if I was fucking myself over, it is however, faster than my DSL. I could easily kick ass in the match and all the lag and stuff just had to do with the game and internet configuration where it doesn't matter how good your internet is, you can still get fucked when it comes to connection.
This is so interesting like crazy how things changed so fast for the most part, but 5G is not at 💯% in the USA what I mean is yes 5G is out now for a lot of people to use But there's a lot of places that 4G LTE is faster then just regular 5G..But 5G is not where it could be that's still few years away, but by then companies Will most likely have 6G out by that time...5G is still growing but change in technology & new phones 📱 means Things are changing the slowly, but for the most part, every six months, new tech comes out.

I suppose my question would be in regards to the health implications, as we will be looking at a massive increase in broadcast devices, and I presume these devices will not always be beam forming, for example when your device is looking for a better QOS it must broadcast to find a better connection. wifi is at 2.4 giga hertz which is a frequency that manipulates water molecules in a body made up of 70% water that's scary. 5g I hear will be a 60 gigahertz which happens to be the frequency that affects oxygen molecules. If you don't see what's happening by this point you need to learn more about so called conspiracy theories. the controllers have poisoned our water, coated our food in pesticides and herbicides (gmo=they made the plant able to handle higher amounts of chemicals), and our sky is being polutted with aerosol, strontium, barium, aluminum and who knows what else. If you want to survive in this modern age you must detox heavy metals often, avoid gmo and processed foods like the plague and only drink spring, distilled or reverse osmosis water.

I like the comparison to adding another lane to a highway. It's an interesting comparison because adding lanes to highways tends to make congestion worse as traffic increases to meet capacity. Seems like wireless connections could behave similarly.
