How the PDSCH-DMRS work from UE perspective? Let's say we have type A pos 2 and configuration 1, which mean every alternative we have one DMRS element. My questions is how exactly this help the UE? If we have two symbol for the DMRS, how will this help the UE also? I understand it is for channel estimation, but I don't quite understand how the UE decode and what will happen when UE decoded first DMRS symbol.
Hi, Thanks for the explanation, although by my understanding and from the standard, Type A means to start DMRS from symbol 2 or 3 (with 0 as the first symbol) of the user PDSCH at this slot, however Type B to start DMRS from symbol 0 (which is the first symbol) of the user PDSCH this slot. Then there is no mention that, up to my understanding, there is a restriction on the user to use Type B if this user start to allocate its PDSCH starting from slot 4. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks in advance.

Very good question. It is used for for similar purpose as RS in LTE though with PDSCH in NR to improve resource utilization. The UE will decode this modulation RS to assess channel conditions. What are you referring as range? You mean cell range?
