I’m Native American too and to me this is kind of offensive because she’s using our ancestor’s clothing to look good. But I’m not going to blame Hwa Sa because I assume she had no knowledge of what Native American is or what our clothing meant to us.

Im a filipino and if other ethnicity wear our Filipiniana and Barong Tagalog nicely, we dont see it as offending, in fact we appreciate it. Hwasa just copied the outfit from a freakin disney princess and it was nicely done. If we cant borrow/use other peoples culture just because its already considered as racism. Then lets start it not just with the outfit, but also with the food, even the type of material for your clothes like Silk since its originally used/invented in China.

Solar is the person who doesn't spend too much time on her costume and relies on her acting skills and prettyness. . Wheein is the person who makes do with what she has in her home but still manages to create an amazing costume. . And finally, Hwasa is the person who just buys a cheap costume on Halloween but still manages to make it look stunning.

For ya'll trying to cancel Hwasa for "offending Native Americans" I'll let clear some things. 1.Hwasa is just wearing the costume of a Disney princess, just like the rest, it doesn't mean she wants to offend other people. 2. It isn't even her fault the movie has been that controversial, SHE'S JUST IMITATING THE CHARACTER, NOT THE WHOLE STORY. 3. Now, the costumes are not chosen by the girls, if so, any problem with being pocahontas? Many people around the world does the same thing and you don't care, so the costume isn't excuse for hating, if you got angry it's YOUR problem bc she doesn't have the intention of hurting anyone.
Ok, I usually defend Hwasa, but I am honestly getting tired. I know they can choose their outfits, and I seriously questioning why Hwasa + her stylist are always choosing these outfits that are treading on very dangerous territory. She didn't have to be pocahontas at all, yet they still chose her as a costume, and that's when I can't defend her this time. There are so many princesses, and heck she didn't even need to be a princess. It's getting tiring, and I hope you understand what I mean. Also, I thought it was a known fact Pocahontas was clearly sexalized. I think manufacturers need to stop making this costume + princess Jasmine ones because they aren't acceptable. I also don't think any cultural dress should be used, but it's not Hwasa's fault manufacturers are doing this.

As a Aative American I know there is no malice behind Hwasa's outfit and I find no issue with it. The only thing I find an issue with is just the way Disney portrayed Pocahontas and that has nothing to do with Hwasa. She looks beautiful and she rocks that costume. More power to her.
