As a watercolor artist, and inspiring animator, I lost a lot of myself. I started using watercolor as a way to replace digital media, instead of embracing it like before, to meet demand. Watching this inspired me to go my own route, free from opinion, free from form. This is beautiful, inspiring, and free. Thank you.

+AbnormallyYours I understand where you're coming from. I was pretty scared posting my material online actually. Abstract art is a bit out there...though this video is not "as abstract" some of the other ones. I figure, however, if I live once, I might as well do what makes me happy. Hahaha. So here we are. I'm so glad it's given you an invitation to be free and to express yourself. Go for it! And thank you for your kind words. They inspire ME to keep painting and make new videos. Lots of love to you my friend

Thank you so so much for those kind of videos! You saved me from a massive art depression where I hated everything I created. Your little, adorable whale helped me so much to become...lighter. More relaxed. Just let it flow. I had watched this video months ago and just found it beautiful. But it didn't have a real impact until a few days ago. Before I had drawn something in watercolour and was immensely disappointed in my skills and myself. Then three nights ago I remembered this video and thought about giving it a try. I wanted to paint something from the sea too and in the end I had a beautiful, colorful shark sitting on the paper. It felt so good! Finally I was paintig with joy again! Yesterday I watched the video again and noticed how strong you influenced me for the better that I was crying over it. So, thank you. Thank you so much. You don't have a clue how much this video means to me but I hope I got it across a little. Love.

Trust me, your message left more than just a "little" impression on my heart. I'm completely speechless. All this is what I wish someone would have told me...I'm not sure at what point art became so it's fun only when...it's beautiful only if. I also feel an immediate sense to challenge myself to create even more, and even more impactful content. Thank YOU for sharing your thoughts with me. They completely made my day. Sending you a very grateful, warm hug and lots of love

I love your analogy. I can't tell you how stressful it was to watch you paint, for me that is why I always was afraid and hated watercolor because I always felt I had no control over it and could never get it the way looked in my head. Nonetheless, I love the look of watercolor. But as you painted, I loved how you just adapt and slowly and surely what first looked horrendous for me turned into something so beautiful! Lovely videos!

I'm my class we have been using more watercolor more often for art, we did a self portrait and I didn't even know if I added to much watercolor. But in the end I'd say mine came out the best. Although it would have been more better if I did more blending and a more mixture of colors. We also are doing watercolor for Mothers Day and the watercolor pencils aren't really working for me, I am really sad knowing I could have down better if I didn't rush as much as I did. Hopefully I can buy my own watercolor and practice so I could color my own pieces of art!

Thank you so much for making this video! I found this video incredibly helpful for people who are just starting to use watercolours, or just starting to use art in general. I've used watercolours, but only for school projects and not for myself and to make art. Your approach on art and having the mindset that watercolours are like life, in my opinion, is great! -well basically, art IS life for people in the art community- I'll most likely get myself a set of watercolours a few years from now, or a few months if I study enough. This rambling is going to most likely get nowhere, so I'm just going to say that I loved this video, and it is super helpful. Thank you, once more, for making this video! EDIT: Whoops. I meant 'art supplies', not just 'art'. Hehehe...

This video was incredibly inspiring for me to watch. Your perspective of life and watercolour, and the two correlating with each other (like watercolour being a metaphor for life) is a refreshing and uplifting outlook on not only art but life as well. I'm an extremely self-critical person (as many are) and when I have a certain image of "perfection" for my art, it takes out the fun learning experience. I'm trying to be more gentle on myself and be less self critical, and leave more room for myself to experiment, fail, make mistakes, try, and try again. Also, this watercolour painting you did is beautiful! My first instinct is usually to compare myself to other artists, but this lovely video reminded me that we're all learning and at different levels as artists. We all make mistakes, but it's all part of the process! ^^

+Coco Bee Art Oh, that's good that I understood what you wanted to get across. x'D That's cool that this video is a reminder for you as well, something you can return to and watch when you yourself are struggling. :-) Yes, totally, many artists do have a self-critical nature. I've never really considered the self-critical trait to be used as an instrument for pushing the boundaries of learning before; I just kinda...saw it as a black-and-white, completely negative trait, so interesting point! It is good to be critical to see what needs to be improved and whatnot(and thus, learn, as you mentioned), but it's also a hindrance if it takes over and sabotages the artist from experimenting with new styles, ideas, brush strokes, etc. and getting outside of their self-critical, perfectionist box. c: Lol, aka I agree with you. x'D Also thank you so much!!~ I send you equal amounts of 'courage and sunshine' (x3) on your artistic journey as well!
