5Q01 and 1H45 - AVT805s - 390050 & 805005 - the present and the future in Avanti West coast colours 

thank you for your commient, before too long, you will be able to see an 805, an 807 and a 390 at Euston all in the same colours ... i wouldnt say what I snapped was a first as such ... but maybe one of the first few clips as such ... but there'll be many more once the 805 and 807s enter service, but that may be some months off yet with only the first few 805s in pre-delivery testing and without an 807 yet as far as I am aware.

Indeed glad Avanti west coast are not replacing the 390s they are still young trains and good trains they are on 20 years old I’m guessing they could stay for another couple of years and yes the rest of the 221s will move to cross country since now the HSTs are out of service now there will only be 220-221s now on cross country but there is a possibility of the class 222 on EMR East Midlands railway which could move to cross county after the 810s enter service

@@shihanthetrainspotter I think the Meridians will be staying with EMR, but the Adelantes will be going elsewhere. The Adelantes could go to Northern, as they hired one temporarily a good few years ago. They'll most likely go back to Grand Central, but will probably retain the EMR livery, to add nostalgia. There are rumours going around that the Pendo's will go in 2027, but I highly doubt it, as they're not that old yet. Usually, trains get retired and scrapped around the 40-year-mark, but some get retired and scrapped around 20 to 30 years. The 365's were retired and scrapped in 2021, after being in service for 27 years, plus the Heathrow Express Class 332's were retired and scrapped in 2020, after being in service for 22 years, due to wear and tear. The same won't happen to the TPE Nova 3's, as they're too new. They'll probably go to either TFW or Chiltern.

@@TheosTrainsWalesOfficial wow the Adelantes could go to Northern that’s shocking because it’s northern a Regional operator plus the 180s are express trains rather than regional tbh I would be surprised if they did go to northern if they did I’m guessing they would run on a express service or a semi fast service because I don’t really know about northern and never been on the operator so that’s a surprise also with the 390s if they are going in 2027 I would also be shocked and sad I would be shocked because they are scrapping a 20 year old train if they do go I will be very sad because they are one of my favourite trains plus Avanti west coast is my local operator in the West Midlands I would cry when they go but oh well still got another 3 years until 2027

I think it's more pre-delivery mileage accumulation.. all units seem to accrue these prior to entry to service ..

@@johnson_street_IEMD Nah, Birmingham New Street has even more variety because you also get Transport for Wales, although that's just my opinion

@gabrielstravels-discoverin7368 Yes, Birmingham New Street may have more passenger trains operators, but the freight and other unusual trains are for the most part diverted away from Birmingham New Street
