:)...As someone that was a teen when this song was so popular; It hits you REAL HARD in the feels thinking of all that's passed since then...We've all lost so many people and the world is seemingly upsidedown...But; At least youtube is still here to show the world what it was like "back in the day"...Good health to you both...Much love from Philly...:)
.."back in the day" when we respected our parents, teachers, coaches. When neighbors got to know each other, when people would go out of their way to stop and help.. "back in the day" when musicians had to have talent.. what a concept.
It was only a few artists, who appeared on Soul Train didn't lip sync. If you want to see them actually sing the song you have to see their appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show.
What you’re trying to say is that she was lip syncing to a recorded version of the song. And yes she was ad libing toward the end of the song. Many groups who performed on Soul Train lip synced to their recorded songs, because there’s not many singers who can sound as good live. They do a very good job, you should check out some of their performances on the Ed Sullivan Show.
The Fifth Dimensionss, and Billy Davis, and Marilyn McCoo, had two songs that I hold in my heart. This song "One Last Bell To Answer", was my oldest sister's favorite song, who we lost in 86, to breast cancer. .......... I had to edit myself from my first comment. For short moment day, I 7ory moments. It was Peaches & Herb who did "Reunited", and not Billy Davis Jr and Marilyn McCoo.
