Complete agreement from NE England. I used to manage a Fleet of 350 3.5Tonne Utility vans, most of which pulled compressors or Mini-diggers/Trailers. Obviously NOT in Outback terrain ... but Clutch & 1st gear or 5th gear failure was endemic.
Hiya Pal. You seem to know yours stuff. This info seems to be targeted at the previous gen 5 speed boxes. I've just bought a new one with a 6 speed box. Which gears are best for towing with the new gen 6 speed boxes? Is it still 4th? Or does that change with a 6 speed?
I agree that 5th gear towing is not advice in most applications. But some gearboxes such as the H150/151F are strongat than most overdrive gears and with only a 0.881 ratio it isn't a huge OD.
i know Im randomly asking but does anybody know of a method to log back into an Instagram account? I somehow lost the account password. I would appreciate any assistance you can offer me.
@Pierce Ryker thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site through google and im in the hacking process now. Takes quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I got told with Ford rangers it's a design fault even if you don't tow a macanic said if you jack your truk up put an extra half litre of lube in it stops 5th from being starved of oil this true
I was interested in this too. This video seems to be targeted at the 5 speed gear boxes. I've just got a new Dmax with a 6 speed box. Did you ever find out what's best on the new 6 speed pick ups?
