5th Quarter 🔥 - PVAMU vs. Jackson State | SWAC Championship 2021 [4K] 

This 5th was definitely entertaining from both sides.

If we are talking overall sound quality -JSU Wins If we are talking energy and selection- PV Wins Both bands gave an exciting fifth quarter for damn sure.

PV got this one 🔥🔥🔥

JSU for the W but PVAMU was hanging right in there with them. I liked their version of Chloe song and U bring the sunshine. This band doesn't usually travel to JSU so it was a nice chance to hear them without all that playing over and blaring that other bands👀 do.

That shining 🌟 tho! But that Can’t Hide Love tho 😩 lol PVU For the W by a close call, just sound quality is just a touch better for me, but JSU has such a very strong and balanced sound with some fire arrangements

PV is a great band, their arrangements and execution are holding them back, and JSU had those. PV wasn’t bad, but for me it was just too many times where it sounded like PV was unsure about what they were playing, or “empty”. Great job to both bands, but JSU gets the W.

Wow good job Both Bands!! i wish PV would add "Monica - So gone" back to their playbook ASAP

Best 5th of the season in the Swac!

Arrangements / # of students who know there music: JSU (even though some of the arrangements are unnecessarily complicated) Song selection: Even - good job all around Song pace: mostly good in both sides; some sections on both sides either ran away or slowed the pace. Sections: Drums Excluded - No offense Tubas - Dawg Team by a hair. The arrangements played in their favor on this one. 14K needed an opportunity to stand out to close that gap. Bones and Mellos - Too close to call Euphonium/Baritones - PV by a hair; seems like they lead the more outstanding song. Trumpets - JSU; Phi S G needs to carry the lead with a more full sound (all parts and sustaining; see also fill up the horn with air, cardio). Full Band Overall: Good 5th from both, but I’m giving the slight victory to JSU. Slight because I could hear them starting to rush and miss notes. PV stayed consistent but sections of the music seemed like parts were incomplete, in which I always look at student no knowing or not confident in their music first.

It's the drum line for meeeee 13:10 River dancing with the basses 😭😫 I can't stop watching 😂😂😂

JSU won this easy. JSU was clean and had a nice sound every round.

I’m trying to figure out what folks are actually listening to. Lolol. These comments have to be stans. PV clearly won this as well as zero quarter. JSU is smaller and with smaller bands they always have the advantage of actually sounding like an ensemble. What in the world was that drumIsh intermission transitional thingy in Cant Hide Love? 🥁 🪘 In addition the trumpets kept speeding up the tempo.

I like PVs Sound better but I love JSU song selection better….

Always good to listen to different recordings after listening to other clips of this I will say again both bands sound great PV just gotta lock in those arrangements, clean up the music.

PV! I hear you. What happened to JSU this year. Theyve had trouble dominating this year. Good battle. Its a tie on this battle

I must say this was a good battle I thought it was going to be one sided but it wasn’t Pv brought they A game I was just a Little disappointed in Pv field show it could have been way better but JSU got it by the land side but great job Pv The West Swac Champs and Great Job Jackson State Overall Swac Champs!

Both bands have balance but both bands could use some screamer trumpets. I enjoyed both and did not miss the blasting and playing over each other

Both bands: PLEASE stagger your tubas, so they are not blocking the bells of each other.

There is something about JSU’s drumline that I don’t like and I can’t put my finger on it. Their parts to the songs just seem uninspired and overly repetitive at times.

Don’t shoot me, but I personally think that this 5th quarter was boring af. I mean don’t get me wrong, it did have a few good songs, but other than that, song arrangements and timing of which there where play could have been better. Like JSU is so robotic with their play list. I love the Boom, but uhhh lol

PV took that L on this one. Definitely entertaining though. Wow!
