The Curt Gooseneck ball fit is really loose, I was not satisfied , you can feel the slop in the ball mount every time you start and stop. I bought the B&W Gooseneck kit, ball fit is a lot better and the chain anchors are much improved compared to the Curt Gooseneck kit. The B&W Gooseneck ball has a handle with the release and lift so you don't have to grab the ball with the grease that should be on it. The B&W cost a little more, but made in USA with American made steel.

My 2017 dually Denali looks like it's got factory goose/5th wheel hookup. Even came with the gooseneck loosely thrown in the back. Haven't figured out how to hook it up or where the safety chains go yet.

They came in a plastic suitcase/tackle box that's usually under the rear seats. The hooks that drop into the 4 corners around the gooseneck hole are in there along with the pop up gooseneck. It's a GM Part that you can order from a GM Dealership that part # is 84759851

@@WesternGMDrumheller Thanks for the heads up. I just bought the truck used and it's missing some parts, like the jack handle. The long one I assume that's also used for lowering the spare? Seems like every time I buy a truck the crank handle is missing. The seats flip up but I saw no tackle box type thing. Not sure if those seats flip down. From what I've seen it doesn't seem like they do

Can any dealer install this package after the fact. I have seen a few done on the ford

Hey Thomas to my knowledge you can install this after the fact from GMC/CHEVY Reese or Curt. The all offer 5th wheel prep packages, all very similar.

It's a factory option you can add when ordering a truck. If your truck doesn't have it you will need to add a AFTERMARKET Reese or Curt 5th wheel hitch kit.
