5v relay module connection  

For the relay triggering section, can I just merge/jumper the control/in together with the relay coil power/vcc 5v together? I just want the whole circuit to work as long as 5v is available.

Might be a dumb question, but does that mean a 5v relay takes in 5v and a 12v relay would take in 12v? Not that the relay is rated up to 5v?

this relay module doesnt actually work like that ,hes alluding to the fact that the relay works like a flip flop,but it doesnt ,it takes a 5 volt digital signal from a mcu to trigger it ,you would need whats called a Bistable flipflop relay switch with negitive trigger,not mcu trigger cheers
