June 6, 1999 - Kelly spots Robert's neighbor hoisting strange bags out of the house and become convinced he is a murderer. Meanwhile, T.K. tries to shed his streetwise image for a more conservative one - which the other kids hate.
I only just started this ep and all ready I don't like his brother and they never mentioned Wendell again after he left like where he went we know Michael went to college and it was funny how they never said oh Michael called today. Yes I know it's only a show but they could have made some stuff seem real like when your child goes to college they still call home
He was making their lives miserable by listening to classical music and laying out their clothes for school?🤣 wish I had that type of misery growing up
I agree, the show took a slightly darker turn in this season. You could tell they knew it was the end based on the 'closure' style storylines. TK and his mother having a redemption moment; Robert and Jeri renewing their wedding vows.
Living Single and Parent Hood had rushed last seasons where you could tell they were trying to resolve storylines. In Parent Hood, in this season, we saw: -TK have a sense of closure with his drug addict mother. He realized that she has to want to do it not be forced to cleanup. He was supposed to go back to live with her as she was starting a new job and wanted to rebuild the family but she relapsed back to the drugs. TK also started to continue the path to rebound from the street life and knew what he wanted for his future family. -Zaria won a scholarship to the college of her choice. She also committed to standing up for underprivileged students who were making great strides. She's the valedictorian of the class of 1999. -Nicholas gets a girlfriend. -Robert and Geri renewed their wedding vows to continue to celebrate their marriage. -Robert learned to start trusting his brother again and stop doubting him so much For only a handful of episodes produced this season, they provided some closure on many things. Initially, WB had canceled the series but made a last minute schedule change to bring the series closure. I'm sure Townsend worked out a deal with them saying 'a short lived series with a cliffhanger has zero syndication value' Parent Hood suffered from the fate of network television phasing out of family oriented television.
@@EDifyer881 Wendell was missed and he did have a purpose in the show. Not sure why he left and some interviews he did eluded to it wasn't his choice and kept it moving. Networks or producers sometimes will think characters have played out or he could have wanted more money which they felt he wasn't worth. We'll never know
I hate how Wendell randomly disappeared from the show him Derrick and his mother were funny it would be cool if wendell’s father and aunt made an appearance
This show had too many cast changes. Season 1 had Mrs. Wilcox (Wendell’s mother) and Derek. They used Wendell as comic relief for seasons 2-4. They wrote the oldest sibling Michael off the show to have TK as a replacement. It was alluded that TK was added because he was better looking and the writers could do more with the character. Wendell was written off in the middle of the season. The show just never got its footing to me. Great concept and some really good episodes especially in the early seasons but too many changes for me to get into it.
I hate that Richard Moll(guard on Night Court) doesn't get enough recognition especially for the roles he gets as the quirky, tall and weird funny guy.
Jacob Davis not as funny as Wendell though after Fazion Love left the show was never the same again without Wenddell humor even though Kelly was there it just was not the same again
I said the same thing. They probably could of had Michael back on the show as well as T.K. The writer's could've made it work. But The Parent Hood will always be a wonderful show to me.
they should have just called this new guy wendel. exact same in every way.. besides the appearance. and not as good at delivering the lines. wendel was much funnier
This is what happened to the Eldest Peterson son explained by the actor that played him Kenn Michael (Kenny Blank)...cool dude on my book. Apparently he was still making the show's music after his character went to college. Apparently he was not given the choice to leave...his character was written out: Check out 23:12 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9x9ybx3ZD4E.html
Nahhhh Wendell was the funniest ever on this show. Kelly tried his best to be the predecessor of Wendell in terms of being funny but truthfully, he wasn't.
