I made 2 of these in 2014, we hunt in northern Michigan in a cedar swamp. My son and I carried each piece back in the swamp, lol. We put rubber roofing on them. Heavy coat of paint, they still look great.
Exactly, I build the platform separately, the blind in 5 pieces. Once the platform is set and secured we set the box on top. Three pieces then the roof so you can be on the platform and not a ladder when fitting the roof. When you’re 15 feet in the air, hard at 68 to be working from a 20 foot ladder. I’ll buy the 2x3’s and rip them in half on my table saw. Overlaps on the corners for a tight fit. I do like their window size!!! Looks about 10” by 36” plenty of view. Didn’t see how or if they use plexiglass, it’s the way to go. Along with camo paint, black on the inside you’re got to go.
very nice. Why would do the roof last and not after you get three walls on first? Meaning if you have an elevated blind, wouldn't it be the easier way?
I wouldn’t call it a deer BLIND, more like a deer shack. Thing probably sticks out like a sore thumb in the woods, but I bet it works. Happy hunting and god bless!
We do not have the ability to ship. We can deliver pending your location for a fee. As you see it, the blind is currently $675 plus tax. Our exterior wood is treated.
