My dad was an avid PPL. He owned several small GA planes during his life. I spent every weekend from about your sons age until I turned 17 and other things became suddenly more important flying with him. He passed away 2 years ago next week. I still remember every detail of those weekends: sitting on his bathroom while he finished shaving and regurgitating alpha, bravo, Charlie, delta, the drive to the airfield listening to his music, the smells, the heat wave that hit my face when we opened his door plane, the red velvety interiors of his piper, the plastic checklist cards (fuck Im old). I wish every day I would have flown with him just one more time. One day, when you are long gone, your kid will lock back at this and remember what an awesome dad you were. Hats off to you sir.
I can tell this guy has big dreams in the future. He definitely know how to read ILS, GPS, and visual approach references to get the GA aircraft down on the ground. Good luck little 1!
I'm going through the training for my license right now and I would love to be able to do this for my daughter in the future. What a great experience for them 😊
