I don’t have a friend with a machine shop. I remember seeing the video too. Waited 4 months for these covers. G&R should know that diesel site product has been out forever and they would have taken that into account. Will put icp in place as plugs until I figure out what to do. Thanks Cody

So the diesel site setup plugs into where the old icp sensor would go? Sorry, this kit has had my interest for a while $$$ holding me back

@@davidwells2848 this kit pulls oil from the test port of the hpop and feeds it to the distribution block.

Just curious.. why not run a modified 05 up hpop? Why stick with the alluminum pump?

The only high output late style pump that I know of is the Thumper 1 or 2 from RCD-which will forever be on back order. I didn’t want to wait so I opted for a diesel site unit and had it within a week of ordering. Moving forward if I ever have hpop issues I know I can source a new diesel site unit.

@@LeftLaneDiesels hey thanks for the reply!! I guess there probably isn’t enough of a market for others to build hot cast iron style hpops. Converting to the late model pump has become part of my recommended repair process on stock plus 04 trucks. Best of luck with your build.

@@matthewgraham7419 thanks Matt! If you check out the dually build-03 6.0- I converted that truck all over to the late style oil system. That truck isn’t going to need the oil supply like the race truck so I opted for more reliability in the 05+ oil system.

Those are some BIG injectors! Are you thinking WDI dual HPOP set up?

I REALLY don’t want to run dual hpops. But I’m learning more and more about tuning and injectors. Specifically tuning and running big hybrid injectors, I think the inevitable is dual pumps and a mechanical ipr, not sure what brand I would go with though.

Have you had problems with that CSF CAC? Mine leaked like a SOB with compounds. Ended up welding vibrant vanjen clamps to it instead. The lips on the boot connections are just so tiny i couldnt even build 30 lbs of boost. Should have been making 65 haha.

I’ve never had issues up to about 45psi-I guess I’ll see how it holds up to 60+ soon 😬 I might go vanjen clamps too

I’ve got a question. How come no one has done a twin turbo powerstroke? A true twin turbo. Two identical turbos on the sides. I feel like that would break the internet, and still make great power and probably sound crazy

There was a guy who did true twins. It worked ok but didn’t make as much power as you would see with a big single. I think by the time you size them properly you just aren’t flowing enough air to make BIG power. Definitely would be a fun project at like 600hp thou

Im still super hopeful that the oil flow will be able to keep up i really dont want to leave my single pump setup but 330/150s wont be enought for 1200+

What a Bea⁹uty so far, perhaps this is why it seems that I haven't seen any content from You l.or so it seems whàt do you have for it to breathe through to get the Monster Flow she's going to require, and what Oil will you be filling her with ? I can't wait until Dyno Day if there is one.

The turbo will be open air, no filter. I will likely have a pipe that navigates to fresh air with just a strong mesh screen to catch the big stuff. I hope to have this truck to all the diesel events I can make!

Happy to see it progressing! I agree with the steel inserts. Them rocker boxes are soooooft. It’s not a matter of if it’s a matter of when those damn valve cover bolts will pull out. I did all of mine when I had the engine out. I stripped a few even torquing them to spec. It was only like 72 inch lbs. oh well won’t be a problem now. I think nitrous will help get that big snail spooled up! Are you on stock HPOP or did you get a high flow one?

Those boost tube's look sexy as hell! On my boosted LS for the last few years I've been dealing with a shitty $100 ebay kit with reused Ford clamps off my 6.0. Shit wasnt even flared had to mod some cheap pliers into a beedroller. Everytime I start the fucker its a 50/50 chance either I blow a tube or header gasket due to cheap Stainless headers FML
