Bill and Mike tell it the way it is. I bought an Excursion Big Dogg from Bill. I had to return it for electrical problems. It turned out to be a bad alternator, which was a new one with 5 k miles on it. It just went bad causing electrical issues.. He stands by his warranty 100 %. He puts his name on your truck with pride. Be careful where you take your 6.0 for repairs. Many diesel mechanics are on commission and just throw parts at your truck costing you thousands. I know, it happened to me. These guys are the real deal and will fix your problem correctly and stand by their work with no bull shit. Bill built his business by being brutally honest with people and standing by his work. I live in Michigan and the long drive is always worth it because I know I will be treated with respect and won't get screwed. How many repair shops put their name on vehicles they repaired ? Bill is the only one I know of.
Man I wish I had 16 thousand dollars. One day we will meet Bill for you to do my engine. Thanks to you I have taken your advice from many of your videos and I haven't blown a head gasket yet and I'm at 175.000 miles.
Don’t blame you at all for doing things how you do them. When I do a Headgasket job on a 6.0, there are certain things I make my customers do. The biggest thing is getting the injectors sent off to be gone through. They have the option of getting Ford injectors or the other alternative, but my process is much like yours: block is completely torn down and resealed, new main, rod, and cam bearings, the block is sent off to be cleaned and machined. All because there is no way I’m having come back due to a leak or questionable injectors.
With all the add on you do how much Power do you think your motors are putting down?? Just wondering if and when mine has issues I'll be calling you!!!! Your videos are always informative and to the point!!!!
Soo angry though that a couple idiots messed up the used engine sales. Shout out to you for even trying to help people man Love your 6.0 repair videos btw. Between you and one other guy on here I've rebuilt my 6.0 darn near.
Bill you need to show a comparison to what you do. Compared to what Ford would charge. Then run the numbers along with a New or Used truck Vice your repair and fords repair
How many days does it take from start to finish? I couldn't imagine you running into anything that you haven't seen before. You guys could probably do it in your sleep and still do a better job than most of these other places out there.
Bill what do you think about my truck 03 6.0 all stock 480k starts in subzero weather a bunch of new parts like injectors plugs pump but the engine itself is original stock non studded
Hi, Thanks for all the quality info and help. Recently looking to upper oil pan leaking. Do you have any insight for 2014 6.7 F350 SD DRW 4x4 w/70000 miles
I got a p0401 code on my 04 excursion 6.0. I’ve replaced IAT2 sensor, map sensor, EBP sensor, maf sensor, intecoolers not leaking or cac boots egr has been replaced with a motorcraft one and i replaced the up pipes to the turbo and the code can’t seem to clear what can i do to fix? Thanks
How is that engine running any issues or problems how many miles do you have on it. ? I'm asking because I'm looking at their 6.3 stroker for my project king ranch.
I agree with you 100% Bill about installing the engines yourself. I follow another RU-vid channel called "Precision Transmissions" (I think he is out of west Texas) ru-vid.comvideos and he is the same way with the transmissions he builds. He doesn't sell take-outs, he uninstalls and reinstalls on your vehicle.
This only makes sense if you have a truck that is in excellent shape or the government For 80% of the trucks out there they end up in the junkyard for this specific reason too much money up Front
It makes me sick to see perfectly good running low mile trucks torn apart for just a few parts to put on a different truck. These older trucks are getting harder and harder to find in good shape and mechanically all their and these guys buy all of them up and tear most of them down for parts.
