Seeing everything from the entire story up through 6.0 being basically "Epilogued" in the Tataru quests has been such a nostalgic treat. Bringing back characters like Kageyama and Gyodo are such great rewards for lore-lovers! Great video! You deserve more subs!
If you can get me more subs, I'd be happy to have 'em! I'm interested to see what the next patch brings fro Tataru, because she wasn't really around for Shadowbringers. Werlyt seems the most plausible, which I'd love to see, let them show how many Gundam references they can cram into a non-combat quest.
If you fly above the "Twelve Wonders" in Elpis and look straight down, the flower beds are the wheel of the 12. I was pretty sure that the 12 were the same specifically dozen people we saw talking to Venat in Anamnesis Anyder. The one thing I'm a bit hesitant on is that the Epigraph is referring to the watcher. It seems VERY odd that they would just flat out tell us that right at the end, rather than let the question of who it is hang for a couple of patches. I'm wondering if it isn't a red herring. The description of "He who is unnamed" also fit's Zodiark. Also, I think the "dream" that the gods want help with is, they want to die.
I mean, 'he who is unnamed' has the role of solely watching. The nameless guy with only the title 'The Watcher' is definitely suspect number one here! It'd feel weirdly out of nowhere for it to be Zodiark, but I suppose it's not the weirdest thing the game's pulled. I've heard that notion of 'the gods want to die' in a few places. It feels a little out of nowhere for a story that hasn't really had that air of finality or farewell about it (except with Deryk but that's a different vibe), but I also can't necessarily rule it out.
There likely is! Not having the actual lyrics of it yet made me want to avoid putting them forward, though, player guesses have been WAY off in the past (Hic Svnt Leones and Scream come to recent mind).
It never occurred to me that Nymeia and Althyk had dialogue and adds matching the side quest NPCs in Elpis! And because of that, I'm willing to believe Nophica's cover story is likely true because there's an NPC with a proto-elemental in Elpis! I really loved the designs of the twelve
I'm tempted to do a video going over the yellow quests in Elpis, because so many random things get psuedo-backstories there and this patch says those might be relevant!
I wonder if the aetheric analyser will reveal anything unexpected in the next raid update. They made a point of at least letting us know the readings were safely removed. The most likely thing to me would be that the realm was heavy in dynamis, but that doesn't feel like a big enough thing that would need confirmation (since we already know the gods are influenced by belief).
For how important it was made up to be, it'd feel very weird if it DIDN'T return something interesting. I don't feel confident enough to guess 'scientific' specifics, but I bet it will return something about how the realm itself works that explains everything weird about the Twelve (and maybe why the Ascians never seemed to take a crack at them).
