You are absolutely correct. This was in the beginning of my loading for precision. I tried alot of different things and it took a while to hone my process to something more applicable to what I need. Everyone goes through a learning curve, and it just so happens that mine happened for everyone to see. Thanks for watching!
Probably. But I am not going to spend hundreds on a rest. The higher end rests are ridiculous in price. I have ordered some chassis weights. I am curious to see what that does to help.
@@mattsreloadingbench it made a big difference for me shooting F-class and shooting off the bench. I put a doormat under it and it keeps it from bouncing around so much. I'd be copying what the guys who go for the utmost in accuracy if you want to shoot small groups and see what that rifle can really do.
I know you edit out unnecessary parts of the video such as working the bolt. Are you letting your barrel cool down after so many shots? I’m guessing you are not shooting all 50 loads with no down time?Agree the 57.9 grain charge looks very promising.
Try going higher I’m using 59 and 215 mag primers with 156 bergers ADG brass no pressure yet I stopped there shot 1 hole in both my savage and browning rifles
You had some great results considering you were dealing with a hell of a lot of wind. Not surprising whenever you got a little bit of horizontal dispersion. Some really great testing here from a really great shooting rifle. Very impressive
Im actually in the same process as you! Retumbo 55 to 58.3. 153 a tip im shooting this week 😊. Im thinking trying berger 156 eol next. Are you going to Try other bullet to?
Yes. It is not easy to get my hands on components, but when I see something on the shelf that I know I will use, I buy it. Over the years, I have compiled a decent inventory. I have noticed that things are becoming more available, but it seems to come in waves. Something new will show up, but when it is gone, it may be a long while before you see that particular component again. Be patient. Hopefully things improve.
Ok...so why the improvement? It was because you had a different seating depth? or it was because of different powder? What will be the outcome if you use the same seating depth you used on this video using the H1000? TIA.
Overall, I feel that I should be able to get better results with this rifle. I am probably going to try a different bullet and see what I get. I have some matchkings on order.
