The Komodo has another advantage. When it bites, it doesn't have to hit a vital spot, like the neck. It can bite anywhere and still get the same result.

It would be too risky for the Jag though. All it takes is one bite from the dragon. Since the Jag is a mammal and has weaker immune system than crocs and most reptiles. Jag will die later on if it couldn’t prevent the dragon from giving at least 1 bite.

komodo has a very venomous saliva, 1 bite and u will die 3-5 days later. and komodo island have like around ±2.500 komodo species, and u sure just 10 jaguars can kill all komodo in komodo island?

You are a fool. If you drop them off, they are ripped apart immediately. If you drop 10 jaguars off on kodiak Island, then 5 bears will rip them limb from limb. The jaguar has a more powerful bite than a tiger but is much smaller. A komodo can 1 shot a jaguar if it ambushes her and bites onto her face or neck. Also, jaguars are eaten by Crocs and Anaconda, too. They are 50/50 in their fights.

Yes, the jaguar would easily kill the komodo. The small little African honey badger could potentially kill a komodo as well. Pound for pound probably the most feared and poisons have little to none effect on them and there smaller than the average dog.

Also the komodo has very, very slow acting poison that temporarily parilizes but would not ypically kill there victim. There baby slow compared to Jaguar. The Jaguar would clap on the komodos skull like a pit bull and rip it a part. You my friend are sleeping big time on a Jaguar. Jaguar win for sure.

But unfortunately for those big cats because the Komodo dragon are rarely to be seen went for hunting alone, they move in pack while try to put down their prey but in a few moments later, they'll start war and fight against themselves to get full ownership privileges, so you all should know already how they applied so-called rules of jungle and try to be staying on the top of the food chains by any cost.

I would think a full grown bull hippo is probably the baddest animal on the planet. The Elephant and Rhino are up there too because of sheer size and strength. Even the salt water crocks don’t mess with Hippos. Another animal not mentioned is the silver back Gorilla, they would be a handful.

And not to mention the dragons saliva is a toxic soup. Anything that gets bitten by a dragon will get a infection/ blood poison and will die. The dragon just stays on scent. And the animal could have been dead for day's by the time its found, dragon eats it. No problem.

The honey badger also has a very unusually strong immunity to different poisonous toxins including black momba bites. Imagine if that animal was the size of a large komodo as well or salt water croc.

I remember when I was little my dad always took me to the Los Angeles zoo and one of the animals that fascinated me the most was always the Komodo dragon, I remember my dad telling me that after they bite you that you immediately feel the heat of a thousand suns, loss of vision, dizziness, and you eventually fall to the ground and the dragon eats you... he told me a story of a Indonesian kid who went to look at them with his friends when they were attacked and when he looked back he saw his friend being eaten... ( idk if true or not you know how dads are) but I mean these are prehistoric creatures kinda scary kinda cool

I love how they say a croc can weigh up to a ton (2,000 lbs) and a komodo dragon weighs up to 150 lbs, then say thats over 6 times what the komodo weighs. Well, its over 13 times, so say that instead. That sounds way crazier than 6

From Africa here. All these reptiles are crazy, the Nile croc is like a T Rex, in water. It's power is insane and its intial speed in attack mode, is a sight to behold. My understanding is that a Komodo Dragon's bite doesn't release actual venom per se, but its saliva is loaded with really nasty fast-acting bacteria, which causes fatal sepsis within a couple hours.

Idk about this list.. you have to remember Komodo dragons have a death sentence bite(mass infection). I think all the cats probably could kill the dragon since they tend to go for the one shot kill. But all the other animals on the list would maybe kill the dragon but die at the end.

You said crocs are immune to snake venom but never Komodo venom, Komodo venom is anticoagulant, snake venom is neurotoxins, different types of venom, same applies to honey badgers. Komodos has sharp teeth, claws that are very good for digging but can be used as a defensive mechanism, and a strong tail that’s like being hit by a baseball bat but much rougher and stronger.

Well depends who bites first If komodo dragon manages to bite first - most likely the tiger will run away from the komodo dragon and later die. If the tiger bites first - well it will be 1 bite kill. Komodo dragon's armor is very strong but any animal with a bite force 480+ psi would be able to dig right through without any problems And tigers have a bite force of 1000 psi so yeah...

Wolverines fight bears and last a decent amount of time because of there extremely tough and loose skin. They don’t usually win but they could probably last long enough to inflict a lot of damage on the Komodo

I would add a lion, elephant, and rhinoceros. Lions are often in packs, so it is very likely they would harass and kill the dragon or force it to run away. The elephants skin is so thick and its body so powerful that the komodo probably has NO chance. The rhino also has very thick skin and is so massive it would crush the komodo.

elephants are not apex predators though. But yes Komodo's would not stand a chance. Seen a elephant stomp to death a huge Nile croc like it was nothing.

Wolverines are common where I live in North West Canada. There is no chance of a Wolverine beating a dragon. Sure they would definitely start a fight with a dragon, they are fearless, but they would lose badly.

Lets be real here. A male Lion could kill a komodo dragon but I am pretty sure a battle between the two would end up in a mutual kill if the komodo manages to poison the Lion. Same goes for the Tiger although the tiger would most likely not even try to fight and run away.

If this was in water, large sharks win easy considering they have amazing immune systems, to the point where they're resistant to cancer, they also have a resistance to what would be poison (which I assume would apply to venom as well) Bull shark seems like the best match, I'm assuming it has those resistances and they are about the size of large komodos but I don't know what shark would be the best match considering the bull shark would probably kill the komodo rather easily with it's 1300 psi bite (highest bite force for a shark if I'm correct)

Since we are not concerning ourselves with the geographic likelihood of these animals encountering each other... I would suggest adding the elephant, polar bear, and maybe a gorilla. But definitely the Salty and some some sharks.

So, in reality just about any large animal , even a grazer like a Buffalo, could kill the dragon. But maybe only a croc could survive long term from a bite in that fight.

dragons eat water buffalo. one bite on the leg, they wait until the buff falls, takes several days, then they all eat it.

@@catxnc yea but the buff dies because of blood loss or infection from the environmental factors. Venom from a komodo causes your blood from clotting so you either die from that or the wound gets infected from dirt or bacteria infested water.

I would have put the honey badger in there. Be hard for the dragon to get a solid bite (the badger can almost rotate completely inside it’s hide). Not to mention the resistance to venoms and stings honey badgers have. Haven’t y’all seen that video of the honey badger killing a puff adder, but getting bitten? Badger starts to stiffen and convulse…..goes into a coma for a couple of hours…..wakes up and continues eating the snake. Epic!

Sorry to break it you but even a man can simply grab a badger and beat it to the death that'd be the same with a komodo a badger only wins with intimidation wolverines as well in most cases but they are too small to actually cause any real harm to the komodo.

The Komodo doesn't have venom. It's saliva has some pretty nasty bacteria that causes infection which causes fatal sepsis. Don't think the honey badger has any resistance to that. Much different than what happened in that video. Also the Komodos mouth is much larger than a puff adder and a badger could fit in it's mouth. How could the badger kill the Komodo? It's bite is a very serious one but it's mouth isn't big enough to be able to get a hold of anything. The Komodo's skin is well protected. I seriously doubt that a honey badger could kill a full grown Komodo. They are an incredible little animal but a Komodo is a bit to much for the badger.

When my kids were little I decided to take them to Costa Rica to see the white faced monkeys. II rented a bungalow on the beach at the entrance of a reservation with no guard. So here we are on a path in the forest , the kids looking up in the trees . When suddenly something catches my eyes 20 feet in front of us. A komodo dragon had just got out of the bushes to go to the sea. It wasn't a crocodile I had seen some before. This was IT. Thank God the kids never saw it and didn't make a sound. It didn't see us. I waited for it to get to the water and I grabbed the kids and ran so fast out of there. So scary!
