I suggest that you adjust your measurements depending on how you like it.
Do not trust my measurements to be exact. Everything came together correctly as I followed the rules of measuring an X to find square and I used a right angle tool. You can not trust a leveler if the ground that it sits on is not level. My driveway is not level. I did level out the bricks that the hutch now sits on and checked to see if the hutch frame is level and it is.

Thanks, the droppings so far are cleaner than I expected. I put them in a large black container in the front yard mixed with straw. So far, no smell... Or perhaps I am just used to rabbit smell.

Rabbitry in phillipines put a long span cut in the size of the cage and put it under the cage so the poop and urine will just go in back side so it will not go anywhere just in one side care to watch a sample here maybe it will help

Nice! I like the removable winter walls. One thing I would suggest is attaching the wire from the bottom of the floor frame so it does not overlap any wood that could cause poop build up. I also like to use 3/4" Fence Staples (look like U shaped nails) to attach the wire which holds up very well. It was kind of hard to see in the video but if the wire dividers in the hutch are 1" x 1" you may see rabbits biting each others noses through the wire and possible breeding. This is the first video I have seen on your channel, I look forward to watching more :)

Thanks. The males I keep on the right and they sometimes bite the wire attempting to attack each other. I can put up more of that quarter inch plywood. Most wood has doubled in price but that is still around $22. The males are so messy, they even did that territorial pee spray on my arm as one ran by me.

@@jstewart627 yeah males will fight to the death is they had the chance. A friend of mine had one that got its nose bit off by another male. Wood prices sure are high! I build hutches to sell and have had to be very creative in the last few months to avoid ridiculous costs.

I guess this is where ur rabbitry business took off. The short you made just came up in my feed, and it looks l8ke it has gone viral. You came across a wild bunny in your property. I, too, came across several bunnies that I rescued and fed for weeks. Unfortunately, they all died except for one 😢.... I made a video about it at the time. I guess they are best left to fend for themselves.

I think it went viral because of my uncertainty and the way I ended the video. The thing I try to do differently than the rest is I let a bunny couple live free, within a fence in the backyard. That made some interesting videos of new babies coming out of the hole in the ground. They seem to come out quite wild when they are born that way until the see that their mom does not fear me.

This is pretty sweet. It's actually exactly what I've been trying to get a visual representation of, as I only seem to be able to find 4 Bay hutches like this. I plan on raising rabbits for meet later this year or next, and the only thing I've seen different from yours is people recommend a solid board or piece of tile in the nest box so it gives the rabbits somewhere to get off the metal if they want. Otherwise I'll be using this plan most likely.

@@jstewart627 One thing I'll do differently is I'm going to make a tray underneath to catch the droppings. The rabbit droppings are very good for the garden and can be sold too. They also can be put directly into the garden without waiting either. I'll end up anchoring ours down or bracing it more than likely but we'll see when the time comes!

@@devin6334 what will you use to capture the droppings, material and sourse of material? I do not want to spend much more on this so I just rake and shovel them into a compost bin I made.

The other videos I have watched have used the same roofing material or something similar pitched toward the back. Then all you have to do is just put your bins under it to catch it as it rolls off the roofing or you rake it down etc. It would be easy to clean too. Some people made a gutter out of 4 inch pvc pipe and had it run into one bucket. It's all honestly personal preference but I like that idea myself.

Process was slow. The town approved it. It was hard to find help with understanding the not so clear laws on urban agriculture.

Everything I bought is in the video description. The price of lumber I paid also at Lowes. The hutch is 12 feet wide, 4 feet deep, about 6 feet high in the front, and about 5 feet high in the back. But the roof extends beyond these dimensions. I also put bricks under the legs. It is heavy so you better double up the legs with 2 two by 4s. I did not put any treatment on the wood and it is doing fine. Stiff rake and good dust pan works fine to collect the poop. I just found today that the pressure washer can really move the poop well.... Too well, it is everywhere on my fence, but washed off nicely 😁

Yes, we got the ok to keep rabbits. There was only one person processing and I had to get a bit pushy to get it processed.

What if 🐍 snakes enter into the rabbit cage?? Is it really safe??

It is just an idea that people can build off of. Never seen any snakes in this neighborhood, only small ones by the water ways. Perhaps the walls could have 1/4 inch mesh to stop snakes, but the flooring must be made for rabbits. The only thing I see in my yard is small birds, one mouse, and squirrels. I even setup time laps cameras and watched the footage on the big screen looking.
