@@cookeepuff same i was so confused she gave me the strongest feeling out of everyone and like she’s trying to prove she’s bi? so why wouldn’t they be spot on LMAO
@@dumbtch-lk5yr that's why, she was too stereotypical in their eyes so it seemed like she was trying hard to not appear straight I don't blame them honestly
people assume if a man is bisexual, hes gay, and assume when a woman is bisexual, she's straight but just has girl crushes on hot girls. in both scenarios, it's assumed that everyone is attracted to men.
when they voted off molly because she was ‘too sure’ made me so mad. she was just confident in herself knowing that she was bi and not trying to hide it. i don’t get what the problem is with being sure of knowing you’re bi.
I agree. Especially because as bis we have to do extra figuring out who we are. It's made me very confident in being bi because of the years of confusion and doubt and invalidating.
I broke my feet today because I kicked my computer because someone commented that my videos are bad! I hate unjustified criticism. Please wish me a speedy recovery, dear be
Calm down. There were more women to start with, 2 of the guys were very very obviously not straight and one of the women they voted out literally was straight.
@@myaisheree they said that guy wasn‘t obviously not straight which is a double negative aka the one that seemed the most straight to them. before they said two appeared not straight to them and one gave off more straight vibes.
Yeah that was mainly the reason I kept suspecting him. Although if I was in that game I would probably keep a close eye on the girls because it's easier for girls to pass off as straight even if they're bi.
The things she was saying seemed like textbook answers. Also, 8 is a REALLY young age to be feeling that. I get that it's what ever they feel, but very few people realize their sexuality at that young of an age.
i knew Sydney wasn't lying when she looked so nervous about the fact that she was being percived as straight and tried so hard to convince the others that she wasn't. It resonated so much with my bi experience that if she was actually lying i would have been devasted lol
This one did hit home because we're the ones who get invalidated and doubted and gaslit into thinking we're monosexual. So when it's other bis doing it...
@@enchantedtailss fr though- but honestly HOW DO YOU PROVE YOUR SEXUALITY IM- people have different personalities so I’m guessing you’re just gonna assume it based on personality- FRFR RANTS ASIDE IM THE EXACT SAME AS YOU WHEN IM PUT ON THE SPOT I STUTTER A LOT-

@@bencilsharpie7567 the point of this vid is to point out the fact that stereotypes can be deceiving and not a true identification for someone's sexuality 🙄
All the guys would have been voted out. People get defensive but a lot of gay people do label themselves "bisexual" so they don't have the dread label of "GAYYYYYY." And their attraction to women is purely asexual. If you go to those bisexual guys' homes and look at what naked photos they have on their laptop, it's 100% men.
@@johnsmi213 labeling yourself bi as opposed to gay is even worse because then you’re not fully accepted by either hetero or homosexual community. There’s no redeeming element to also supposedly liking the opposite sex if homophobic people already know you like the same sex.
@@elijahgavin6706 But you really are because they imply, "I'm bi" as in "I could end up in a heterosexual relationship" and then their homophobic parents go, "Phew," and their homophobic church friends go, "Phew" and that's a horrible reason to be only slightly gay if you're not actually bi. I am bi and it's true that gay men don't believe it and a lot of straight women are never going to feel comfortable being in a committed relationship. For me personally, I enjoy sex only with women but I enjoy romance only with men. Whatever the case, I've known a lot of guys who have told me they're bi who were really just afraid to be labeled "gay." My bisexual friends were always men who were into women, dated women exclusively, but weren't afraid to talk about liking guys or making out with guys, etc. I've noticed a lot of gay guys who claim they're "bi" only watch porn with guys, masturbate to pictures of guys, never to women, etc. but they can see themselves dating someone they find pretty like Taylor Swift etc so they say they're bi. So there is a difference.
@@johnsmi213 thats a really harmful and biphobic stereotype. if someone says that theyre bi, then theyre bi. there's nothing else to it. this is exactly why we dont see as many men come out as bi. because instantly everyone will tell them "oh you're just gay and too afraid to admit it so you say you're bi"
when they all voted molly out because she was “too sure” totally pissed me off. like she was confident in herself and apparently it was suspicious. also when they were talking about how unfair stereotypes were, and then continued to vote all of the girls off. and when the dude at the end went to the girl “if it’s you i swear” like wow😐
Intersestingly enough, they were talking about one of their pet peeves being how people don't take bisexuality seriously, that a bisexual person isn't sure of themselves. Yet Molly was voted off BECAUSE she was too sure of herself. ????
Hmm... maybe because most young people maybe in more conservative settings are still shy, especially on online. Perhaps people get so much shade they learn to speak more vaguely about their experiences. Hence being outspoken about sexuality may be rare for the group here. ..
Especially Melvin he really pissed me offfff i know it’s a game and we shouldn’t take it seriously without knowing them personally but it just crazy the amount of sexism that was just present in 11 minutes!!!!
@@alicechapman401 it’s a phrase used for when someone who is queer doesn’t act like a stereotypical gay/lesbian/bi person would. It’s an outdated term and some people still use it as a complement towards queer people like we need to fit into heteronormativity (you don’t have to act like a stereotype but the phrase itself is demeaning)
Lmao when they talked for a whole round abt ppl thinking bi guys are gay and thinking bi women are straight but then prove that mindset by only voting out women
Literally. It shows how attraction is always centered around men, even when women are lesbian, more attracted to women, or equally attracted to men and women.
Melvin repeatedly saying "I'm suspicious of you" without saying WHY is just a bit awkward. Hopefully it didn't come across as awkward in the actual shoot.
@@maciasblessed1011 no, i’m saying i don’t like how everyone automatically assumes that bisexual women are actually just straight girls with some ❤️spice❤️
when men say they're bisexual they're labelled gay, when women say they're bisexual they're labelled straight but wants attention, why can't society just accept us a sexuality? we like both, respect that!
I don't like how they are treating bisexual or gay into a personality like, if you listen to these artists you're more likely to be bisexual like it's literally just sexuality not a way of life.
Yeah they spent way too much time trying to decide who was bi based off stereotypes, then actually listening to people's personal experiences. Like when the girl in the white shirt said that she had a GSA at her school and was giving real life experiences and yet they found it suspicious??? Doesn't makes sense.
for real!! i get there are like 'in jokes' within the community but not everything revolves around those lol. If you're bi, you're bi. it's hypocritical for us to stereotype ourselved.
That was my first thought. When it comes to music, I am primarily a metalhead, so when he started naming those pop singers, I could not relate at all 🤣
I think that's why she assumed that she would make it to the end since they identified that the mole is straight and a lot of people would just assume that she's a lesbian so it couldn't be her
@@jygllic5197 It's all sorts of not-ok to demand that someone prove their sexual and/or gender identity! or any identity! ah! it is ignorant and disrespectful on lots of levels! Also a friendly reminder that it literally doesn't affect you :) at all :) How about we work on validating and supporting instead of pushing down and stepping on others :)
@@gradeachillerbrian2213 it’s part of the challenge? in all these videos you have to prove yourself. if these people felt uncomfortable they could literally jsut not do it
I hated how the guys basically ganged up on the girls and blamed it on them “not being convincing” or seeming “sus”. I feel like they internally still had that image in their head that a bisexual girl is actually just straight which is horrible.
@always procrastinating Yeah, I think there also might be an element of it where guys think bi girls are straight (just like you said) and the only reason they "act" like they're into girls is because MEN find that hot. It's hard to explain but it's so infuriating
Not their fault though, since too many women talk about how much they like girls, kissing or making out with them; then finishes it by "I'm straight though." These huge majority of "straight" girls are the reason people don't have an accurate view on bisexual women.
I feel so bad for Sydney. She had to fight for her life to "prove" herself, and in the end they still didn't believe her. Imagine how heartbreaking that must be after having internal struggles with your identity, to then meet outside resistance from your own community. I know it's literally the point of the game, but this episode just didn't sit right with me, the way they voted off nearly all the girls and didn't believe or listen to them. As bisexuals, we need to do better.
As a bisexual, I think you’re reading into it a little too much. It’s a game show where you have to ‘prove’ yourself and ‘fit in’, so I’m sure all of them were totally prepared to have to ‘prove’ themselves and/or face doubt in response. After all, it’s the name of the game. As for nearly all the women being voted off, that’s a fair point and I wish they’d have asked them at the end why they did that
“Fight for her life” “Heartbreaking” I think you’re being a bit dramatic. This is just a game. The point is to judge based off of what you can see and what they share. You can’t really prove sexuality easily so people just have to rely on looks
Why are you assuming she had to fight for her life to prove herself? Or that’s she’s heartbroken over a RU-vid video? Or that she has had internal struggles with her identity? Not all bisexual people deal with internal struggles with their identity or become heartbroken because a few strangers think they’re straight and not bi
someone needs to tell sydney if u fall into a stereotype ur still valid, idk why she voted molly for being confident in her sexuality and falling into stereotypes
taking the "are you bisexual?" quiz is the most bisexual thing to do EDIT: omg thankyou so much for the 2.1k likes! Happy Pride month to you all and remember that you are all valid and loved 🌈 ❤
@@kingwiccan9743 Hi! I wish they would have put a little text definition on screen lol but a unicorn is the term referring to bisexual women who participate in threesomes with straight couples! On datings apps it is very common for bi/sapphic women to see couples looking for a “unicorn” (usually they use the emoji).
every time someone asks "how do you know that you're bi if you didn't date any women?" i fight the urge to say "how do you know that you're straight if you are such a virgin?"
The only reason I thought Sydney was the mole was because of how strategic she was playing. She seemed to be trying to survive not try to vote the mole out, but that was all private and not seen to them so who knows
Yeah I noticed too :< The video was probably filmed before they came out as nb though? Not sure when they came out as pan relative to coming out as nonbinary but that would probably figure out what happened there
As a sociologist, I really strongly disliked the the subtexts and the subtle things that were happening that made the guys vote almost all the girls. There is a lot to be unpacked and said there But as a youtube viewer. This was interesting. *likes video*
if you want to and have the time, i’d like to see what you want to say on the matter. i think it’d be interesting to see what a sociologist has to say. i also really disliked the fact that almost all the girls were voted off.
@@username-yd4xm I agree! People end up forming cliques and ganging up on a person or a group. If you notice the previous episodes, the way to win is for the mole to quickly form an alliance. I find that interesting.
@@vicnad92 Also, people tend to vote for not who they think is the mole, but who they think will get the most votes in order to save themselves for the next round. Notice how Sydney votes for Elly in round 2 and Marissa in round 3 because she thinks that the other people would vote for them.
@@zabdielisaiahmaynes4345 "Minimum wage workers vs millionaire" and "Married people vs unmarried one" had women teaming up. In the former, one of the women even explicitly confirms this
This video is soooo hard to watch because a bunch of bisexuals trying to prove they're bisexual is just to close to everyday existence as a bi person. I was like nooooo the last thing we need is to turn against one anotherrrr! 😅
The fact that the girls kept getting voted out, and even the girls that seem to be sure of their sexualities were targeted in the males were only safe because of gay stereotypes supporting them not to be straight and not suspicious kind of pissed me off throughout this
Well what did you expect people rely so heavily on gay stereotypes when determining who is gay. Of course the girls and guys were going to use gay stereotypes to figure out the mole.
I'm tired of seeing feminine gay or bisexual men on a platform alone they are a lot of masculine gays or bisexual people out there but you never see it which is why the people usually stereotype us
I whole heartedly agree when it comes to media and fictional scenarios but these are real people you know? I don't know how jubilee cast these videos but I'm assuming it's a mostly random selection. real people can't be "stereotypical" representation because that's just how they are, and they are just being themselves.
my older sister is a lesbian and when she came out at 16 my whole family was soooo excepting towards it and when i came out as bi my whole family didn’t believe me and thought i just wanted to be like her so i’ve always hidden it from everyone bc i’m so scared they won’t believe me
That’s something I really think Jubilee needs to sort out because it defeats the purpose of the game. It’s a social experiment. Yeah people need an incentive to participate (aka $$$ / prize) but it shouldn’t be allowed to be used to manipulate the system like that.
no they did not all vibe with each other. melvin kept targeting one of them saying he had his doubts and tried to get everyone to vote her out and then turned on another one saying “it’s you!” even AFTER they had decided to end the game
@@bebeerin Bruh it's a game people are suspicious, he meant their energies matched.. in some other videos the energy is awkward, these people just seem like a group of friends
they should definitely do a ‘who is non binary’ i think it’d help with the stereotype that non-binary people have a look (skinny androgynous and white) and make a lot more people feel seen
For me pointing out one person in front of everybody, knowing full well that it basically makes everybody else suspect her, was a jerk move. Especially since he was wrong. I hope he genuinely apologised and shared some of his money with her afterwards.
basically, sexual orientation/sexuality doesn't have a "look". anyone could be gay, bisexual, straight or what. it is not our right to identify someone else just based on their physical appearance. let them speak for themselves, if they said their gay, lesbian, bi, straight, etc. then identify them as who they wanna be! sure it could change, but what matters is the present. we do not own their identity and either do they.
i hate the ones about sexuality because it just turns into a stereotype game. if they made it some type of statement against stereotypes, then maybe it would be fine, but its just whoever is the biggest stereotype wins the money.
HEY JUBILEE! middle ground idea - "Fate vs free will: what decides our future?" some prompts i had in mind were... a) Religion plays a role in my belief. b) Karma is real. c) There is a greater purpose to life / a life or purpose beyond death / a reincarnation cycle. d) I am scared of what will happen to me after I die. e) Science does a better job explaining the meaning of life than philosophy.
Free will AND random chance, because we can't control everything that will happen on our future with free will alone. Edit: Also, I don't think Science is able to explain the meaning of life since the word "meaning" is too subjective. The only meaning you can gather from evolution is that we're meant to survive and to survive we have to reproduce to keep the species from going extinct like every other animal, but it isn't going to give a deeper meaning to life than that.
Mhmmm this is why I try not to stereotype everyone. If I do I always think it might not be true. So I just go on about my day until I confirm that they really are what I thought they were. People are full of surprises so try not to compartmentalize.
y’all making this too easy it’s getting boring, the groups are cool but at least make it to where they get less money the more rounds they go, make them kick multiple ppl out, bring ppl back idk make the game harder and more challenging, it seems like the mole never wins anymore
This!!! I especially like the less money each round bit. It makes it so they don't just form an alliance and vote out everybody that's not in their group 😒
@@alexisfuller1503 why do people read the comments if they don't want to be spoiled? It's literally the place to talk about what happened in the video! It's like going to a fish fry and being mad they actually have fish there.
They talk about how female bisexuals are more likely to be perceived as secretly just being straight and they also vote only the female contestants off as the “secret straight.” I’d like to see them redo this with the mole being gay instead of straight and see if they vote the men off instead.
Same I honestly felt like saying they would misinterpret her personality as ‘coming on too strong’ but she literally came on a little bit too strong lol
Even though I'm bi, I feel like I would've been voted out instantaneously if I took part in this because I conform to what is seen as "masculine" so much. To be honest, one thing I have to be critical about when it comes to both the LGBT community itself and how its members are presented to those outside of it is that there's this idea that people who are straight are masculine if male and feminine if female, and are the opposite if bisexual, gay, or lesbian. It's like one's interests and presentation automatically determine what their sexuality is. It's so crazy I feel like sometimes I'm just a straight guy who happens to like men too-it's been to the point where even my boyfriend has asked me, since I like cars for instance, "Are you sure you're not straight?".
I get what you’re saying but I think that is a bit too general. I don’t think they should do what Melvin did by saying “YOU” so directly like that. At the same time the person who has suspicions should be directed to ask more questions to confirm their own suspicions. It sounds like common sense for a cast person to do this but I want Jubilee to redirect that behavior so that this doesn’t keep happening.
