Would love to be a part of a book club ... where we connect every couple of week and discuss the ideas and key takeaways from the books.

This is the first time I actually see someone mentioning Adam Ferrier's book. Hugely underappreciated book that anyone in business should read. Your list is pure gold for an intro to BE. Great work 🔥

It looks like this book has just one message already expressed by Henri Ford in his words, "If I had asked what people wanted they would have asked for faster horses". I think Steve Jobs already quoted it heavily too. And even though I sort of enjoy that message, is there another message in this book making it worth reading?

Here's another idea for a video i think would be super useful if you did: many people talk about the replication crisis in Psychology and Behavioural Science, it's honestly almost scary for me how many studies (like even the Marshmallow test) seem to get disproven by other scientists. So, i thought it would be cool if you made a video on some of your favourite cornerstones of Behavioral Science that got beautifully corroborated in spite of many falsification attempts. Or, just a video wholly devoted to the replication crisis itself. Also: I'd love to join the book club too!

Thanks Piotr! Yeah great suggestion. Could make a whole channel talking about failed replications honestly 😂. I’ll get round to it.

Yes, it would be great with a list of all the knowledge that has been proven true and all the knowledge that has since been proven wrong, since it is hard to keep up with what is still true and what is not! This is of course a huge task to ask of someone, so this is just me wishing out loud, more than a real request perhaps ;)

Behave by Robert Sapolsky sounds awesome. His lecture series on here is really good too, although basically the same, from what I hear.

I can only second the idea with the book club, I wanted to make reading more frequently a habit anyways, so its a great incentive :)

I would be part of the book club! Would be great to do a comparison video between Atomic Habits and Good habits Bad habits. Just read your older message onto why you prefer the latter. Even though scientists might be more trustworthy because of their extensive experience in the filed, it can also be very limiting. Atomic habits has a very interesting and refreshing point of view that academia does't bring.

Excited to start reading, thanks for the recommendations! But please also suggest habits that allows one to keep reading books without being drawn by distraction (Yes for the book club, the anticipation to be a part of the discussion at the end of the month might get me reading)
@PeteJudo1
@PeteJudo1 3 года назад
Awesome! I'll make a video about that. Top suggestion though, maybe try audiobooks! I usually listen to my books rather than sit down and read them. That way when I'm commuting or cooking. I'm also reading!

Awesome! I just need your opinion. Do you think that it is worth getting into an university to learn Behavioral economics related subjects that is truly my inspiration, dropping out from the university that I'm currently in learning Law that I don't find it interesting anymore.

Curious why you chose to read Wood's Good Habits Bad Habits a year ago? Have you read the more popular books on habits, like the Clear's Atomic Habits or Duhigg's The Power of Habit or ... (you get my point)? I'm part way through Atomic Habits simply because it's widely well received but I'm curious on the others.
@PeteJudo1
@PeteJudo1 3 года назад
Simply, I heard Wendy Wood on a podcast and wanted to know more. I will be reading Atomic habits soon and doing a fact-checked on it. I appreciate good habits bad habits because it’s written by an actual behavioral scientist who has done the most for habit science than anybody. James Clear and Duhigg aren’t actual scientists, so in my opinion they’re a less trustworthy messenger.
