Independent variations is one of the hallmarks of Lindy Hop and is part of what makes it such an improvisational dance. In this video, we piggy back off of a lesson from amazing Hand Dancers Markus and Tren (follow them on IG here - stuckonswing?hl=en). We also gain inspiration from footage of dancers at the Savoy Ballroom in the 1950s. I'm not going to teach something specific, but I am going to go over ideas on how to make up your own variations. And, you know, if you wanna learn the specific things I do, do it!
