How often do you get a silk press?

@@rosat2770 Every 3 to four weeks. Sometimes I'll get braids or wear a braid out, a few times throughout the year.

Thank you for this, I’m gearing toward being a heat trained natural and looking for all the tips I can get.

How do you use a styling mousse without washing your hair and using heat?? My roots need to be smooth back out in the summer, after a week.

Mo Knows Hair has a pretty good video on that. I think she does use a hair dryer to dry her roots after a workout but she explains why she thinks that’s ok and why it works.

That is at your descretion... I know its better to have silk or satin pillowcase if you make it a habit of sleeping without a hair covering... you could also try a silk or satin scarf to keep your hair/pincurls in tact while sleeping so it doesn't come undone. I prefer scarfs over bonnets...to me bonnets allow to much movement of the hair, not providing the security a scarf gives
