Excellent video, as always! Just one question - how about a Dynamic asset allocation fund for a goal which is 3-4 years away. Fund managers have the flexibility to increase exposure in safer options like debt if they feel markets are overvalued and heated, which is the case now.

Dynamic asset allocation funds tend to move more, and odds of returns under 8% over 3 years are higher. To be precise, since 1999, DAAF have given 8% or lower returns 47-48% of the time, much higher than equity savings/conservative hybrid. That's why not ideal for this in-between period in my opinion.

Prefer high-quality short-term debt funds vs liquid funds. And I believe over optimising for less than 90 days is not really required hence savings account, or else short term debt funds.

1.ICICI Prudential Equity Savings Fund 2. Conservative hybrid funds 3. FD 4. Short term debt fund 5. Arbitrage debt funds Choose large fund hoise who have large liquidity and also keeps in mind the tax slabs on the interest.

Number 1, not necessarily that fund but equity savings funds as a category.

Different purposes. Equity savings funds have stocks in them. So, I have shared the chances of negative and under 8% returns in the video over a 3-year period. I don't personally like them for under 3 year investing. And that's where arbitrage funds are an option.

Indexation anyway was not applicable to bond funds. For hybrid/balanced, it will now be flat 12.5% after 2 years. Will make an updated video soon with new tax changes.
