In Chaing Mai now...enjoying the heck out of it....super chill place for covid, it’s calm, respectful and peaceful....and very healthy. Gonna check the restaurant shortly. You guys do a great job and are very entertaining...I’m a fan....get out there and do more travel...

Int Affair yeah make a full on “real video” of your local area and highlight what’s amazing about that place....music tracks, drone shots and everything...masks just make the mundane authentically seem amazing...you got the skills and I’m sure you can convey a sense of excitement and wonder as if you are traveling Thailand....maybe not the level of Puh Chi Fah but still really engaged and loving what your doing.... Intl affair - local edition Or domentic edition Or domestic affair But just treat it just as real as you would I’m seeing some foreign place and just highlight what you really love in that area.... Heading there in May for a couple days. My partner and I were just there in January for a quick 12-hour trip from DMK/BKK. Definitely checking out the Elephant Sanctuary this time and the night market again! Love this city!

Hi, this is a really cool and informative video. I had a question about the drone. How was it flying it around in Thailand? I have a trip to Thailand coming up in less than two months and I would like to take my drone to get some really cool shots while I am there. How was it bringing it through customs? Did any police or security complain about you flying it?

Thanks Ana! No issues getting it through customs. When we were there I don't think permitting was heavily enforced. Seems like things have changed a little. Look up articles online for a better idea. We would just follow the standard FAA regulations as much as possible. In some places planes fly low so you should always fly within eye sight and a good distance away from the airport(s). There may be places that will have signs restricting drones- respect them (unless you're given permission by an authority). Other than that, just be responsible. Safe Travels!

Great video - we're heading there in November. Looks like you got some great drone shots - any problems flying the drone in Chiang Mai or over the temples?

Thanks Tim! Seems like things have changed since the last time we were there. As we’re not officials and probably not the best to give legal advice on drone piloting, our recommendation is to check online before your trip to see if there are any new laws or requirements for flying. I can tell you that we've never had an issue, anywhere we've been, with airport security trying to confiscate our drone. Hope this helps! Safe travels!

We were there for about 8 days. Looking back we wish we would have stayed longer. The beaches of Thailand are beautiful but we really enjoyed the North a little more...

we use drone a lot in thailand and it is totally fine but some area is on the restricted zone, mainly around temple area or nearby the airport zone. Hope this help

Awesome videos guys! Heading to Thailand next month (Chaing Mai, Bangkok, Phuket, Phi Phi). Any advice on flying drones there? Did you need any permits or get in any trouble flying?

Sarah Clark Thanks Sarah! No issues with flying drones anywhere except for national parks (fly at your own risk). If caught, they'll ask for you to delete your footage. Another rule of thumb is: if in doubt- ask! When around temples and Buddhas we would ask security guards for permission (which most were cool with). Hope this helps! Safe travels!

Great video!!! I have two questions, where do you recommend to stay at Bangkok (it's my first time going) Area of silom for example at Centre point hotel ...or close to the temples Rambuttri Village ?? I also need to know if there's phone service/signal all around Thailand once I buy the SIM card there, like if I get internet access in Bangkok chiang mai chiang raí and in the islands ??? My job is about replying to emails I really need internet everywhere!! Please let me know!

Bangkok is huge! There are a ton of different neighborhoods offering different things. Our biggest piece of advice is to stay anywhere near the BTS (train). We don't know all of the neighborhoods well enough to narrow it down but I would say to not stay in Rambuttri Village. It's pretty quiet on that side of the city (far west side) and far from the train. Anywhere near: National Stadium, Silom & Chit Lom offer a lot of options for restaurants, shops, etc. You may pay a little more to stay there though. Not sure about SIM cards and their functionality as my phone works internationally at no additional cost. I would assume the Thai SIM is valid in all of Thailand? Check Google for more answers. Hope this helps!

You forget to mention, best thing to do, go with a bike up to doi shutep. Buy a smoothie there, enjoy looking the tourist amd then enjoy all the way down with a bike. Try :)

4 days is plenty for downtown Chiang Mai. Most of the activities revolve around temples and markets. We'd recommend spending maybe 2 days exploring old city and the other 2 days exploring areas on the outskirts (grand canyon, doi suthep, etc)

In Thailand you can find ATM's frequently. You will get hit with ATM fees that will eventually add up. Our suggestion is to bring your respective currency with you and exchange it at banks (open Mon - Fri). You'll get the same exchange rate and avoid paying fees! It's a pretty safe country so you don't have to worry about getting robbed. Just be smart with where you stash your $$ in hotels/hostels. Play it smart and you'll be fine!
