1. Sunlight for 5 mins as sun is strongest antiseptic or use full spectrum light box ( use in bathroom ) for 10 mins . Also helps to fix the circadian rhythm and you sleep better later at night . 2. Clean toenails with tooth brush in shower daily 3. Then dry toenails for 3 mins with hair dryer 4. Rotate shoes and change socks daily to avoid wetness environment for feet . And spray shoes with anti fungal sprays . Use synthetic or acrylic socks. If too sweaty feet change socks and shoes in middle of day . 5. Go bare foot for sometime of the day 6. Daily soaking feet in warm water tub with : - epsom salt : 1 cup - vinegar : 1/4 cup - baking soda : 1/2 cup - tea tree oil : 10 drops

I am 60 and have had toenail fungus since I was 24. I had it on 2 nails, the big toe and middle toe of one foot. Griseofulvin ( for a ringworm infection!)worked, but it came back because I didn't maintain it with a topical cream. Laser treatment did not work. Just this year I got rid of all of my toenail fungus. It required twice daily massaging with generic Lamisil cream into and around each nail and into the cuticle using cotton swabs. I was careful to avoid cross contamination by using fresh swabs and doing uninfected toes first then doing the infected toes. It takes about a pea sized amount of cream for each foot. I apply it without fail morning and night. ( brush teeth/ apply toe medicine) for 6 months. After 6 MONTHS about half of the nail had grown out healthy and pink on each infected toe. At that point, my Podiatrist surgically removed the nail of the Big toe completely . It was done in the summer, so I was able to wear Teva sandals after a few days, and I could wear sneakers after a couple of weeks while it grew back. The post surgical regime involved hot soaks with epsom salts for a couple of weeks a few times per day. I continued the generic Lamisil cream regime on all of my toes except for the Big toe that was healing from surgical removal. After a few weeks I was again applying the generic lamisil cream to ALL OF MY TOENAILS morning and night. My fungus is gone from both infected nails. The middle toe recovered with just the topical medication, the big toe required topical, surgical removal and then topical medication was resumed. I am religious about wearing flip flops outside of my own shower. I will be applying the topical cream morning and night FOREVER, because I am prone to this, and do not want it back. I will never use polish or get a pedicure. They both promote fungus. I switch my shoes, change my socks frequently and give my toes as much air and light as possible. I sterilize my nail clippers. I wash them with hot water, a brush and Hibiclens. I dry them and place them in a preheated oven to bake at 350 for 35 minutes. I never share clippers. I scrub my bathtub with. Dawn dish soap, and water using a clean broom, rinse, then repeat with the broom and baking soda and finally apply a bleach and water solution, It sits for 20 minutes and then is rinsed. I wash my bedsheets with hot water and a capful of bleach at least once per week. I often wear thin white socks to bed to keep the cream from getting on my sheets. So a year after the surgical removal, the Big toe nail has grown back and I am completely fungus free. This must seem like a ridiculous amount of work, but for me it was worth it. Fungal nails were a constant source of shame and embarrassment... but no more! I hope that this helps someone.

Your hard work is impressive. Of, I may ask, why did you list brushing teeth? Is there some corelation between applying the lamisil and brushing one's teeth? Also, what is wrong with doing a pedicure if you do it yourself and what is wrong with doing a manicure of you do it yourself? Thank you.

What worked for me was LISTERINE antiseptic mouthwash - only the gold colored. I swear it works. I had it on my big toe on my left foot. All the other toes were fine. I'd take one square of toilet paper, fold it in half, wet it with Listerine gold colored mouthwash and wrap it around my big toe. The I'd use a plastic lunch bag, put a rubber band around the wide par of my foot and then put a cotton sock over it on both feet and go to bed. I'd let is soak in the over night. You will SEE it working. It will turn from yellow to white. Like any other treatment you MUST DO THIS EVERY DAY and let your toe nail grow out. I think it took about 6 or 8 months to grow out and it was GONE. Now after I shower or take a bath, I wipe my tor nails with Listerine. I have no idea how I got this fungus but it is GONE. There are NO SIDE EFFECTS! It beats going to the doctor, waiting for your appointment and being given prescription Lamisil that requires blood work because it damages your liver and you still have to let the nail grow out. Or you can get laser treatments and hope for the best or get hard to find oils that may or may not work. I guarantee Listerine gold will work for you but you must do it everyday. Integrated or functional MDs recommend it all the time because it works. These doctors have the same degree as an allopathic doctor but look beyond prescriptions and look to diet and other remedies that work with NO SIDE EFFECTS.

I had toenail fungus for years on my big toes, to the point that the nail was not adhering to the cuticle. Ended up going to Walmart and buying a bottle of de-colored Iodine. Put a couple drops on the nails and under for 3-4 weeks. Worked like a charm and the new nails are growing out attached to the bed and just keep the toenails trimmed and eventually the ugly nails will be gone.

I have tried almost all treatments except oral pills ( too hard on the liver ).......then I discovered a treatment that finally worked for me...soak and cut back as much of the fungused nail as possible..be sure to clean the nail area with hydrogen peroxide and sterilize the clippers afterwards ....you may have to do this trimming in a few steps , with days in between. ...you need to get the nail trimmed as short as possible to remove as much of the fungus UNDER the nail as possible....... DAILY : clean the nail area with peroxide and apply OTC Lamisil cream, pushing the cream under the front of the nail and around the nail bed...it will not absorb through the nail.....do this twice daily.....morning and night.... it took me about three months for the nail to clear up........good luck

@user-el1qd8vy6j

Yep everything he says works. I have a charcoal foot wash I wash my feet with 2-3 times a week. Washing your feet is super important. I air-dry my feet after every shower and never ever ever wear closed toed shoes right after a shower. Also I always wear sandals in the shower even though only my husband and I use our shower. I never wear socks for more than 6 hours and on the rare occasions that I do have to, I switch them out to another pair. I am also never barefoot. I have indoor sandals that I wear when I'm home. I also never wear socks when I'm home unless I'm cold. But I always wear socks when going outside to protect my feet from dirt and to keep it clean. Also when I cut my toenails I always wipe down my freshly cut nails with rubbing alcohol. I also wipe down my nail clippers with alcohol and soak it hot water. I never share my nail clippers with anyone, ever. I am very strict with this routine and been following it for years. I recommend this routine to everyone. I also absolutely never ever share shoes or socks with anyone. I have a ginormous drawer full of endless white socks bc I don't recycle my socks after taking them off. For ex if I come home and take my socks off for my feet to dry then realize I have to head out again for whatever reason, I grab a new pair or socks. So I never wear socks I just took off! I also wash my socks apart from the rest of my laundry. I never mix them with my shirts or bottoms. They get washed separately! This is important bc I can wash them with hot water and can add bleach if needed but bc they never get dirty aside from minimal sweat I almost never need to add bleach. Now this might seem excessive but I have ocd and this is probably one of my only healthy rituals. Lol. Now like I said before, I have been following this routine for YEARS and I can honestly say this is why my feet don't sweat very much, they do not stink, AND are baby soft. It's also been years since I've had or even experienced any sort of itch on my feet. However on the rare occasion it happens ( like when I go to the beach and walk on the sand) I soak my feet in warm water and vinegar for a few nights and the itch dissapears. Sorry for my rambling but if anyone is trying to achieve soft, non sweaty, non itchy, and non smelling feet, I swear by my routine : ) good luck everyone !

Vinegar is an acid…It does work, however. I am a baker, and the things I have learned that kill yeast (which is a fungus) are salt, heat, and starvation (deprive the yeast of its preferred food). These line up well with what you advise!
@dhj1825
@dhj1825 2 года назад
I agree, but he suggests mixing vinegar (acid) with Epsom salt (base) which neutralizes both. Most life forms thrive in a narrow ph range, anything outside that range is effective to kill it. I assume the Dr misspoke. Clorox can also be used as a foot soak as long as you dilute it enough to not cause skin damage. Epson salts is my preferred soak.

I found walking along the beach in Hawaii did it - I guess sunlight and salt. Turns out it even works along some of our polluted UK coast too - so I can't convince the Dr to prescribe a free trip to Hawaii :-( However, soaking feet in artificial salt water bath also helps. As does dilute bleach and even beer sanitisation fluid (very dilute - and I am not recommending this - just that I tried it after making a batch of beer). I think someone else also mentioned reducing sugar intake. That is sage advice regardless of medical condition!

i got this years ago in just my big toes and was horrified at the pills and other things they wanted to put me on for over a year, i said no way. so, i used common sense and sprayed my toes with 91% rubbing alc (i put it in a spray bottle) and i would also dab the little cleaning “knife” file thing that spins out of a toenail clilpper, into the alc and push it down under the nail, where it separated from the skin. works like a charm. not had it for many years, but i think i wore my slippers too much this winter so i got it again but was on it from the start. these are sock slippers so i change them often as i have plenty of them. i also knew to keep toes dry so i go barefoot most of the time when at home. but killing the bacteria with rubbing alc under the nail is safe, effective and i dont need to take a toxic pill for months on end. i hope this helps someone and maybe the dr here can add that to his list.

Dr. Kim🙏🏼 thank you for this video! I have been dealing with a awful itch this year and underneath my toenail bed is a dark spot and my cuticles have changed color. It's so embarrassing to walk barefoot because my toenail has changed color and its swollen. I bought tea tree oil cream which didn't really help out so I got the oil instead which stopped the itch for like 15 minutes. Today I just dipped my toenail in a garlic paste I got to excited and left it on for over a hour, which was a bad idea because my toenail skin started burning. I will follow the steps and hopefully I will be fungus free within 1,5 year after 29 years 😞... ❤️🙋🏻 from 🇱🇺

I noticed that the nail on my left big toe wasn’t growing and it started to hurt. I figured out it was a fungus and sat with my bare foot in the sun for 10 minutes each day for a week. Within a few days I was feeling relief and now after 7 months the nail is almost completely grown out without the fungus.

I will be applying the topical cream morning and night and again if I shower in the midle of the day.... FOREVER, because I am prone to this, and do not want it back.

@@davidbrucemusicvideo I got one from amazon for $25 (just a red led bulb for plant growth - it does the same thing :) I'm going to look for a blue one next bc I heard blue is better for this kind of thing (antifungal & antibacterial, while red is good for atp & will help your collagen & elastin, and green is good for capillary health).
@davidbrucemusicvideo
@davidbrucemusicvideo 2 года назад
@@nataliaturner4845 Thank you for that information. If it’s that cheap, the Red light therapy light probably doesn’t really work that well. But I will look into it on Amazon.
@nataliaturner4845
@nataliaturner4845 2 года назад
@@davidbrucemusicvideo It's not that plant grow lights are cheap per se, it's that the red led products marketed for skincare are ridiculously overpriced. The led nodes on either type of product are the same - they produce light at 630-700nm wavelength. Some people might prefer the skincare products, for example, because they are molded to fit your face, your scalp, etc - but the efficacy has to do with the dose of light your skin receives, which is a matter of proximity and angle to the led node, so you can get the exact same benefit (or even better) from a regular bulb for plants if you have the patience to treat the planes of your skin accordingly. A lot of ppl don't know, but the red led therapy was developed by Nasa precisely to stimulate plant growth in space, and it worked. So they decided to try it on the astronauts themselves to help their bodies recover after their time in space, and it worked exactly as it did on the plants. So basically, if the plant bulb has good reviews for plant growth, you can rest assured it will work on your skin, too, bc it works on all living things at a cellular level.

@@skinnydee1886 Your nail may look to you that it got better, but the fungus is still there. Go to a reputable doctor (not a snake oil peddler like the one in the video) and request a culture test for the fungus, and you will find the test is positive. Not even removing the nail cures the fungus. The only solution so far is the oral anti-fungal med Lamisil, which, unfortunately, is harsh on you liver, but so is life. That said, it is possible that the fungus will disappear spontaneously. This may happen if your immune system gets stronger, but this is totally "unrelated" to the snake-oil "treatment" suggested in the video.
