Just before you guys got there, there was a frozen pipe on the house that flooded the kitchen. The house was sold and we were hired to install a new bathroom there an office closet was. Floor was stripped and sanded and new stain and poly was applied. I use to watch deer lounging on the top of the hill behind the house while I worked. Very funny that is the same house. Spectacular winding stairs up to the second floor.

I just cant say enough about how much you really care about the customer and you believe in your systems. Your workers are so attention to details working efficiently and not tearing up the homeowners yard. This is why I bought your system Robert. Thank you so much for all you do to educate the homeowners and I truly appreciate you taking the time to film your work.

I burrito wrapped my system, I get no more puddling. I used a really good quality punched geo fabric, non woven type. I installed high octane french drain and the boffman gold solid on my surface drains drains and catch basins. I put in 4 cubic yards of river stone and pinned it with the wrap. So I am running two systems separately in the same trench. It rained buckets and my neighbors yard is squishy and mine is solid. My whole block sends me their water at the bottom of this hill. I think I have the driest yard now after a heavy rain. My system runs 8 inch culvert pipe then to a city culvert. The system never stops even on a dry day with this quad pack. Don't think it's a good idea to pull the fiber cable out of a firm ground. You will run a good chance to break it. It is made out of glass! Saying that I do agree that it does need to be out of the ground though. Love y'all's videos by the way

Would you explain the role of the sump pit in this system especially since it seems like the whole system was draining to daylight on the other side of the house and there was also a storm drain pit right next to the sump pit. These details seemed to have gotten a bit glossed over.

Iv watched the handyman in Florida drain videos and was about To do my yard that way but luckily your videos popped up and did a French drain and downspout drain your way and will be doing sumpump in crawlsoace soon, butnow at the end of the pipe in my backyard the grate keeps popping off cause all the water that’s moving!!! If I can't connect to storm sewer or get to daylight because I lack the slope in my yard, how do you terminate your French Drain? Would a pop up at the end be an issue because it would leave water in the pipe? Thanks for all of these videos. Amazing content.

Hard to believe that subdivisions like this would not have structural/civil engineers to spec drainage and retaining walls. One would think that a home warranty would be in place for a high tier construction.

Is it better to use two, three, or four 4 inch pipes or one 6 inch???

What was the popup emitter by the sump pit for? Did you have french drain going around side of house? And what was the manhole cover for, not a way to gravity to avoid sump? Awesome detail. Amazing efficiency of crew.

Great video, and I'm glad I found it. I am doing a trench system on the inside of the house, and from what you're telling me, I should be using the same method. Many of the other videos show what you said not to do which is of course put rocks down, and a pipe with a sock on it. My house has lots of clay where I'm putting the trench. What type of rock should I use to fill it in? Also will landscaping fabric work to keep the dirt away from the rocks?

Question - will clay mud eventually build up on the outside of the burrito fabric wrap to the point it plugs up the holes in the fabric and there's no more percolation?

Don't knock chuck in a junk truck. Keeps me incredibly busy tearing out crap. I don't do drains anymore but did it for 30 years and have seen so many idiots doing stuff that blew my mind. Homeowners always be aware. Read reviews. Where did the problems for this homeowner show up? Water in the basement? Where was the water showing up?

This house is so elevated on a hill, why are you using a sump pump rather than building a full gravity system? I personally think sump systems have their place, but with proper grading and french drain slope sump pumps should rarely if ever be used. I do not see why you are so frequently using sump systems.

i think some time it not handy man fault sometimes it home owners fault cuz they don't want to spend the money i see it all the time
