Thanks for the tips! I'm mostly a number 5 "Buy sealed sets and wait" Lego investor right now. The other thing to be aware of is that #5 can take a LOT of space up, so plan accordingly. But the sealed sets look amazing when displayed as a collection as well, so it can be a win win. Keep it up!
Love the content! Interesting how many oppurtunities Lego offers. I think renting out Lego sets or organising lego building Birthday party's for kids would also be great ways to create Lego income!
I appreciate all the content you provide It has been very helpful in my lego investing journey. My wife and I were married at that chapel you were at on April 13th 2013. It’s a special place to us and we try to visit it when we are in Gatlinburg
Thanks for the tips, can definitely be helpful. :) We started buying sets for investments so now the waiting game starts and hopefully we can make some good money on those sets. Also we got a little Bricklink store, so we use 2 out of your 6 tips :)
More great content! You are by far my favorite Lego RU-vidr. I appreciate the topics you choose to discuss and it really shows how well your videos are thought out and edited. Keep up the good work my man!
Heads up on the photography Lego thing!!!!! I won't say too much about the content other than to say I used Storm Troopers, I got a letter from Disney's legal department, a DMCA threatening legal action if I sold any more images.
I want to thanks to your great tips. I also started investing on Lego but now that Lego pricing just went up. Not so sure if I’m going to make profit as you guys already started years ago. I only have 2-3 sets that I kept for more than 10+ years in NIC. Other recent Lego sets I will follow your advice to keep for 2-3 yrs. Also good to see you are playing Lego with your son. Very enjoyable moment. Build , share and sell lol.
Thanks! I believe prices will go up on the after market since LEGO is raising prices so hopefully that will offset the extra cost. I’m trying to train my son right in the ways of LEGO! Lol
Thanks for these tips man really appreciate it, with all these tips I’m going to start and invest in legos after watching your videos. Waiting for Christmas in order to get some of the sets you recommended
Pretty good looking video. With plenty of information and never exhaustive. Keep going on this path. Recently started building my portfolio in the hope that it can help fund my own collection down the line.
Great great video and great to see you sharing such a neat but advanced build with your boy. Have you built the T2 camper and which do you prefer if so?
Thanks! It might have been a bit advanced for him. Lol it’s fun just to hang out. I haven’t built the T2 yet but I have it in my backlog and I am even more pumped to build it now after building the T1. Have you built either of them?
@@TheBrickQuest collected for fun not cash it just got out of hand 80% is unopened I got lazy 😂. Now all of a sudden Lego is worth stupid money and no one plays they just display and buy for profit So sad . I got addicted to Lego buys for the sheer thrill of I’ll build it later and don’t get me started with EBay lol . I’ll sell if I need it for a nurse to wipe my butt or I’ll give it away when I peg it 😂. Never bought for investment and my loft is bulging now and the Mrs never stops complaining. I make sure she steps on Lego once a day 🤣. Anyways great channel
if you choose between the UCS millennial flacon or the star destroyer...which do you think would be the better investment? we currently have 2 falcons and one star destroyer...
Speaking of selling sets, I just bought 2 Lego stadium for own interest from a reseller. I just wonder how do u identify the product is genuine product? D box is still unopened.
The best you can really do is make sure the box looks like the original packaging from LEGO and make sure the seals on the side are completely in tact.
Out of curiosity, are you actually able to sell Prints of Lego photos? Wouldn’t that go against copyright/trademark? I watched a Lego Photographer once and they needed a special license to use LEGO in their prints.
Hey Jonathan! All good questions. The amount you sell it for depends on the set. I have a bunch of videos on selling, buying and shipping. Check them out and hopefully they will help you.
Love the videos. I’ve just started my bricklink store and i have invested a lot into sealed sets. Some i have sold, some i am still waiting for the best time to sell to maximize profits.
Thanks for the tips! I just started investing and I'm hoping to get some sort of profit off of it. If not, I have a bunch of cool Lego sets to open! Really a win-win:)
Quick question, I have a used lego star wars b wing 75050. Should I sell it now or wait for the b wing to show up in a disney+ show but risk lego making a new b wing?
That’s a good question Ben! Like with any investing it’s hard to perfect the exact timing of when to buy and sell. I typically am gonna hold somewhere in the 2 to 3 year range and then sell. If you feel like there is the possibility that they may come out with a new version of the set then you may want to sell before that timeframe. There is always a risk though that it could continue to go up in value if they don’t release a new version. 2 to 3 years is my sweet spot.
ebay.com/usr/thebrickquest here is the link to my eBay store. We currently aren’t selling much as we are doing some house keeping. Keep an eye out though!
