In Peru, Miss Universe and Miss World are separade. The same year were choice two girls; Maria Julia Mantilla (Miss World) and Liessel Holler (Miss Universe)
@@alexdeperu4966 I dont think so, brother. Since I wrote this here many years ago I saw a video where she takes second to another girl in a Miss Peru contest. Maybe that year the first one went to MU and the second one to MW, as many countries still do. You can find it too if you search RU-vid. And the first one was just average, incredible, and couldnt get anything in MU. Lucky MW contest that year.
@@caravaggio31 yeah. i watched it. But, there were just a first runner up. But, they needed to say a winner but, Inmediatly they say one is going to Miss Universe and another to Miss World. And the first runner up was another girl.
Poland is well recognized in Miss World unfortunately in Miss Universe they have sent good contestants but they haven't made the semifianls in a long time
@TheSuperk25: but then no MU non-finalist have won MW while 3 MW non-finalist have been crowned MU (1971, 1989, 1999). All the MU crossovers who have won MW were either finalist or runners-up.
The truth is, its tougher to win in Miss World than in Miss Universe. Miss W has different mechanics to be fair. A lot of Miss U winners are only semi-finalist in Miss W. Miss U is predictable and has the same country as finalist every year. USA, Venezuela, India, Puerto Rico.
