As someone whose hit a bit of a rut with their 4c hair lately, this was so so helpful, thank you! One positive of being in lockdown for me has definitely been having a lot more time to get familiar with my hair and its needs, and funnily enough I also discovered that damp hair and smaller sections work a lot better for my 4c hair too. The rolling the ends + starting from the root tips make so much sense too though! Can't wait to put all this great advice into practice from now on.

The key for my twist outs is def leaving the twists in for at least 24hrs. If I need them to dry fast I will use foam instead of gel.

I've never seen anyone on RU-vid just WEAR their 4c hair shrinkage and all. I literally shaved of my sides and back because having to twist my hair up EVERY WEEK was too much and my hair is only 5 inches long at most haha. I legit just want to do the LEAST with my hair and your style gives me life. I wish i hadn't damaged my crown 6 years ago because it's so thin there 😑

I can’t seem to master the flat twist and that’s really the only style I try to do. I keep saying I’m going to go back to a plain twist out and then I never do. My hair gets super gamy feeling when I put any moisturizer (like I literally can only tap a little on each section). I too have to use perm rods to get that end to curl. I love your hair style. I had to put this stuff up though it’s just too hot 🥵 and I can’t deal with the nightly styling I have to do in order to keep the style I like.

Taylor! Love ya. This may be old news, I don’t know, but did you know google image (or whoever posted the image) is using your likeness as 4b hair? I am a lawyer although I don’t specialize in IT. Whether they label you 4b or c there should at least be a link to your accounts which there is not. Please contact me if you want to know the image. Or you may be able to find it easily on google.
