💕The only advice I would give & this may sound crawl but don’t rush to pick Rupert up straight away each time he cries & to gradually leave him for longer each time💕This way he will learn to settle himself either back to sleep or to just laying contently by himself💕

I’m a first time mum with a 5 week old and these older videos are bringing me so much joy (and hope that things will improve!). Your lives aren’t dissimilar to mine and my husband’s - we’re the same age as you and have also gone from city to countryside living. Good morning from Texas! I so enjoyed your advice for new parents - having this support is a game changer! My babies are 50 and 46 -so long ago without the internet for help! I relied on my Mom and my Dr. Spock book! Every day was a new day with new events to deal with and somehow you get through it! Megan is back to her old self . I knew she would get there and I love her honesty with the viewers! Keep it real is the best thing and we will always route you on! Rupert is adorable and those dimples are the sweetest! I asked that over and over again for the first 6mo of my twins lives! It was SO hard, yes so good, but I often thought I would have a mental breakdown. It's also challenging because physically your body is adjusting with hormones, sleep deprivation, emotional stuff......so it all compiles into one giant difficult change. So massive kudos to parents out there for getting through it! I think if you get through the first 6months, you will survive:) You aren't alone Moms (and Dads)!!!!

Not painful to watch at all; that was terrific! All of the music apps these days can make a musician out of most anyone; unlike some of us who had to learn to play by reading notes. Took years to master. Keep on playing and singing, J & M 🎶 🎹 🎸!
It’s a challenge to be a first time mom however this too shall pass! I am a mom of 2 all grown up and been a nanny for years just a word of advice trying keeping Rupert up till 7- 730 and he might sleep through the night. Also have a wee cereal before bed keeps his tummy full, and I know you won’t like this but let him stir a little and he might fall back to sleep.
As far as babies , and nearly a grandma now , I reckon you should go with ur instincts , and not always follow Google’s advice or other peoples suggestions . No pressure Jamie , but Plse film ur daddy son night whilst Megan is away .. I’m sure you’ll do great !
I love watching your videos. My girls are 21 and 19 now and I’ve a 4 yr old granddaughter. You are both doing an amazing job. My now 21yr old had a milk allergy from day one. She was not an easy baby. I spent many nights pacing the floors with her. Upset tummies were a nightmare followed by nappy explosions. Then she’d feed and we’d start the whole vomiting, tummy ache, nappy explosions all over again. Thankfully we love them dearly and it does get better for the most part, well until they’re teenagers and want to hang out with friends. Then comes the going out night clubbing years, more headaches as you wait to hear the key in the door and them fall up the stairs. Now she has her own little girl who unfortunately has the same milk allergy so it’s been tough for her, especially being a mum at 18 too. But she’s 4 now and my daughter said it definitely gets easier, especially once they can talk and say what’s wrong. Once you get past those first 6ish months you will definitely survive.

I dealt with colic with my now 25-year-old son. My Mother lived 4 hours away and my mother in law 8, so essentially I was on my own. My experience was similar to yours; once he hit around 4 months, the colic decreased and I felt I had some semblance of my life back. Just so you know, after that, he was an easy child and teenager.
My son was tough believe me when I say for 4.5 months I dealt with not 1 but 2 bouts of colic a day from 7 to 9 pm and 1am to 3 am he never slept unless I was running around with him but at 6 months he started sleeping for 7 pm to 6 am and 2 -2 hour naps a day
Afternoon to you both megan the tinkering on the ivorys are paying off you sound pretty good 👍. Looks like you have grown in confidence when it come to trying out new things .How's the new langue skill coming along as well .its always a sad moment when children up route and leave the confines there first for ever room. What a great vlog! Parenting is really really hard work, but somehow that's never really addressed very well. Parents are just supposed to smile and make it all look like a cakewalk, which it isn't. I think putting out your honest reality of being a first time parent is doing a great service for so many parents out there in internet land. Being honest seems to be equated with not liking being a parent, or even worse, being a bad parent, and so no one tells the truth.Good on you Megan for being willing to step into your truth and tell it as you've lived it!! At the same time, it's important to remember to continue to be a couple, so when you no longer have little ones, you still recognize who you married. Thank you for another excellent Sunday morning...even though I'm just catching up on Monday evening!!
That song is so special to me . I remember two broke college kids on their first date watching Titanic at my apartment. That was 23.5 years ago .Here we are almost 22 years of marriage and 3 kids later . Every mama feels that way Megan . If you are comfortable with the idea see about a local mama and baby group if there is one near you . This made all the difference for me .
You have done so incredibly well. It was obvious Ru was not an easy baby, I had one too, and survived, but oh, how tired I was. I am so happy you have made it through the difficult time with such grace and determination. We are rooting for you all.
Fabulous video as always. Always think of you both when I'm learning songs on my keyboard. I got one in January, and it's so fun. Never played any instrument before in my lifetime.. 34 years on I wanted to learn something to play! Just wish I had the voice to go with it like you Megan. Love your videos xxx ❤️
