Thank you! I didn't do any external marketing so all my clients were people who found me on fiverr. I attribute that to my thumbnails & gig summary being my biggest marketing tools, and when I created them that's what I was thinking of: what does this communicate to the buyer & how can I prompt them to want my service? As for raising prices, that's completely up to you and what works for your situation. I don't think there's a right or wrong answer on "when," but having low prices at first was a great way to get reviews.

I've always been hesitant about doing anything on Fiverr because I've heard so many people emphasize the importance of marketing yourself on social media (which I don't have). It's great that you were able to get clients without doing that! Do you think you could do a video about what makes a good summary for Fiverr to attract potential clients in the future? I think it would be really helpful to those to see what worked for you. If you rather not, that's okay too. It's great that you're sharing videos on how Fiverr has been like for you.

No problem! I think that social media marketing advice depends on the sector and how serious you want to take the freelance work. I personally am only doing this part time as a side hustle so if I were to use it as a full time job I would probably look into marketing off the site. But there is definitely work without off site marketing. In general, I think people place a lot of undue weight on social media marketing. If it doesn’t work for you, don’t do it :) for editing theres also reedsy and starting your own website that can be used as marketing. My channel focus is more on author/book content so I don’t plan on making any in depth fiverr videos, but my advice on that would be to read other successful pages on fiverr and see what has worked for them and note what exactly they say or show that would make you want to use the service. There are also a lot of videos on marketing on RU-vid that don’t necessarily talk about fiverr specifically but still apply. I personally tried to keep in mind “what is the clients problem and how can I solve it” while writing my gig summaries 😊

You’re right it doesn’t, I hadn’t had to pay taxes at this point and it varies so much depending on where you live and how much you make I thought it would be more helpful to talk about it in terms of pre tax dollars
