That's me in the chair, and I have nothing but great things to say about Mrs. Pauline and her work. She is definitely a master loctician. I appreciate her willingness to help me. I walked out of the salon feeling like I'd just had a makeover. The transformation was everything! Mrs. Pauline has perfected her craft, and her attention to detail is amazing. And yes, she was gentle. Thank you so much for your service! Ladies, Mrs. Pauline at En Toi Beauty is simply wonderful!
I, too, was on active duty in the early 2000s Marine Corps and wore my hair in microbraids basically the entire time I was in and was still relaxed at that time. I'm so glad when I was deployed I found someone who could braid and sis made bank! 😅 All the black women were going to her just for simple cornrow style. I then went natural in 2007 and just wore braids, crochet, and sew ins. Back then, I really didn't see anybody with locs because the military was really strict on how your hair should look. But now they can wear ponytails and everything, which is great because having to pull your hair in a tight bun to fit your hat on your head properly eventually would tear your edges out. I'm 22-months microlocd I started with two strands and I do have several locs, but still have a lot that hasn't locd yet. Military has definitely evolved because now seems like everyone has sisterlocs or microlocs now. Not sure because I have them I see them all the time like when you get a new car. But it's great to see! 🎉😂
Thanks for your service, sister. I am 27 months or 2 years and 3 months loc’d. I have microlocs - just 212. Best hair decision I ever made. I think locs are perfect for working women. ❤🎉❤
Thank you for tending to this sista who is in the military. For Black women it can be hard to find someone to do your hair depending on where you are stationed and/or time constraints. Best of luck to this lady. I'm glad times have changed regarding Black hairstyles from when I was on active duty.
Yes, Pauline! My first year being loc’d I noticed the extra growth in the summer. Now, 2 years and 3 months loc’d I anticipate extra growth in the summer. So glad you could help her and so glad you showed what can happen when you go too long between retightenings. ❤
Awesome job and I am glad she found you. Time sure can get away from you when you're on active duty, and especially for black women on duty. It is difficult trying to find someone local to base or post who can style and maintain our natural hair.
Simply beautiful. I may need to travel to get me a retie in the future 🤔. I’m only 10 months in 😁. I love watching you work because baby girl you are an expert with confidence. Wish you were in California 😩
What part of Texas. There are quite a few great loctitians across the state. I'm on OH, and in the military, I'm tempted a lot to go to Texas! Great work 👏 👍🏽 👌 💪🏽
God bless you , you are such an inspiration once again thanks for the footage and the video .that young lady thanks you for your services as well. Again God bless you. Have a blessed rest of your day. Your knowledge on natural hair as well as with locks is the best that I've came across be blessed. And again thanks for all the info.
Thank you for serving our girl in the military. Being deployed its really hard to find someone to do our hair and especially locs. How much if someone locs are overdue? By the hour and/or loc repair?
