Honorable mention: Dwight Howard Everyone loves to say that he didn’t live up to his potential but the man is: 8x all-star 8x all-nba (5 of those First-Team) 3x DPOY 5x All-Defensive Team (4 of those First-Team) 5x Rebounding leader 2x Blocks leader Everyone wanna bash his toughness because Kobe said it but the man lead the league in rebounds for the Lakers playing with a torn labrum and a herniated disk in his back and only missed 6 games that year
I have no doubt in my mind that Jordan would not have 6 rings without Scottie, people forget in 94 when Jordan retired for the first time. Scottie was 3rd in MVP voting.
@Brandon Martin pippen did it with phil jackson tho, michael in his younger day didn't have phil thats why he average insane number. But he didnt won a chip without pippen anyway.
@Brandon Martin pipen had way more help then Jordan before he had pipen and Jordan made the conference finals when pipen was playing like 20 min a game and avereged 8 points so it wasn't because of pipen that Jordan made it to the conference finals
Nba Twitter does. Some kids these days think he was a scrub. Some deny that he’s a top 50 player all time. And a lot of people think Tmac and Vince have greater legacies witch is completely wrong.
The people and teams Scottie was on post Jordan He isn't special. He was a complamentry peice to Jordan who Jordan made better That Portland team as an example Pip not winning with them......
I remember how awesome it was seeing him play for Toronto... Miami Bosh was still a beast & I wish we still got more Chris Bosh after Lebron left had he not had the heart issue
i never seen Tim Duncan get so frustrated and make the same mistake over and over again so bad that Tim Duncan got benched most the 4th quarter because of Chris Bosh being unstoppable. Tim or anyone couldn't guard this man at all. then he gets a crazy offensive rebound and a pass to ray Allen to hit the shot to go to OVERTIME. Chris Bosh was one of the first strech powerfowards in the world. he had the gravity to get Tim out of the paint if Chris Bosh didn't join the heat leBron would only have 1 ring or would never join them. he was a top 10 player in the world many years on the raptors. i still think he is the greatest raptor of all time.
That Chris Bosh rebound was super underrated and I still don't feel like he don't get enough credit for that If you like sports and especially Basketball come support me I'm almost at 1k you can be a og today 🙏
@@vaishnavnegi9640 Joe Dumar threw away the possibility of Detroit Pistons remaining relevant with one of the worst draft picks ever passing up on Carmelo...that was plain stupid the pistons were screwed after that move.
I have to talk about Scottie Pippen. Skip went overboard when he bashed Pippen. Jordan is the GOAT in my view. Even the GOAT needed a sidekick. Jordan would''ve never won those six rings without Pippen, period. Pippen is a disciplined version of Rodman, who could score. No one elite player could win a championship on there own. Just ask Kobe or Shaq.
Shawn Pysadee not arguing your point, however the mavs with dirk was a 1 all star team and although the didn’t do it alone he didn’t have a superstar sidekick
Of course even the best players need a sidekick. The argument is that Pippen was more than just a sidekick and was very prominent alone. The year Jordan left he finished 3rd in MVP voting. That seems like hell of a “sidekick” to me
Shane Curry Hated is different than disrespected. Lebron is hated by a lot of people but ultimately, we all know how damn good he is. Same thing with Barkley. The best are always hated usually because they’ve shat on your favorite team a couple times.
There's an episode of NBA's Open Court in which former players debate about the next ten to be included in the top 60 of all time. Steve Nash was brought up and pretty much everyone shut it down by claiming that the Suns' offensive system made players look better than they actually were. What wasn't pointed out is that Nash was the engine of that system. I remember whenever he had to rest his back on the sidelines and the team's offense would just fall apart, causing their lead to go down. Out of the eight players in the 50-40-90 club, only two have achieved it in multiple seasons: Bird twice, and Nash four times. The latter coming one made free throw short of five straight, plus another close call at the end of his run.
jp3813 Nash was clearly calling the shots on the floor for the Suns. People just swallowed the emotional appeal Shaq did in his statement that Nash stole his MVP, hence, people say he doesn't deserve any of the MVPs he got, that he stole the award from both Shaq and Kobe.
@@fralion0714 In that episode, all the former players were already in agreement about Nash even before Shaq said that he got robbed and everybody laughed, telling him to just let it go.
jp3813 I know. I just don't like the fact that people always associate mvp = 1st sclring option in the best team. It is not. Shaq was just the best scoring option in his team, Nash was clearly the reason his team is winning. Big difference. Impressive numbers ain't worth jack if you can't win. Shaq's numbers are truly impressive but he clearly wasn't the centerpiece of his team. Nash, was and will always be, the centerpiece of that amazing Suns team and he was, more often than not, leading the team to wins. Shaq was alwayd salty about titles and accolades to the point of being incredibly petty. I think that Shaq is pretty narcissistic. But that's just me though.
@@nelsoncenatus5775 No. Its not close at all lol. 10 scoring titles, 5 MVPs, 6 Rings/Finals MVPs with no losses, DPOY, more 1st team selections than Lebron, was making defensive 1st team at age 35 ( Lebron doesnt even play defense anymore ) Top 5 in scoring and steals, most points in the playoffs, highest scoring average, higher PER than Lebron, 72-10 regular season record, dropped 40+ points multiple times at age 40 and had a 50+ point game. Dragged teams in the playoffs MULTIPLE times, including when he was 40 years old on the Wizards. How exactly does Lebrons career compare to this in any way? I didnt even bring up stats, position, role on the team, help each player had. Like i said. Its not close at all. Jordan's career is all around beyond everyone elses by so much that you have to ignore parts of his accomplishments to make the conversation fair.
@@roberttorres7936 in what way? Just making that statement with no context or facts doesn't make it true lol. Wilt was a beast in his day but let's be honest, no one else was his size ( most of the tallest players were like 6'8 and unathletic ) and he would camp in the paint to inflate his stats. Teams in the 60s averaged like 120 possessions a game and NOBODY played defense. When he played against Bill Russell, one of the VERY FEW players that were close to his size, his numbers dropped drastically. Shaq, Hakeem, David Robinson, Dwight Howard all could have done what Wilt did in the 60s. He only has 2 rings because he was a stat chaser. He got traded twice because he couldnt get along with any coaches ( 9 coaches in 14 years.... Imagine teams trading Jordan, Lebron, Kobe etc. multiple times ) and when he went to the Warriors they had a record of 10-34. Once the rules changed and the league started to gain more talent, his numbers started to drop, which is why Jordan holds multiple scoring records over him. C'mon bro. You tell me to do my research but you're telling me Wilt has a more impressive resume than Jordan, while completely ignoring every shred of context surrounding that statement lmao.
For all those people who say Melo is overrated or not a legend, He revived a 17-65 Denver Nuggets team and also the Knicks didn’t win a playoff series in 12 years before Melo got there
if it wasn't for melo Jeremy lin wouldn't have playing time(do your research) What happened to Jeremy lin vs the heat? Jeremy lin was cleared by doctors to play in the playoffs but decided not to, so he can get paid in free agency (rockets) but yeah lets blame melo because Jeremy lin was definitely worth that contract Houston paid him 😂😂😂
Bill Russell is withtout a doubt one of if not the most disrespected Legends ever: Dude was a 5x MVP, 11x Champion, 12x All Star and 11x All NBA in 13 seasons as well as being one of the pioneers of the game that helped shape it. Even if you don’t believe he would be shit today at least give the man his credit for helping develop the NBA into what it is and being great in his Era.
Pippen was 2nd in MVP voting in 94 next to Olajuwon. Pippen was allstar MVP in 94 when players took that game seriously. Bulls were a 55 win team in 94 without Jordan and a horrible Hubert Davis call away from eastern finals where they would of beat Pacers but in my opinion would of lost to Rockets in finals. When Pippen went to Blazers he was a reason they went to game 7 for his performance in game 5 and 6 when they were down 3 - 1 to Lakers. And if hadn't blown a 15 point lead in 4th quarter they would of gone to finals and beat Indiana.
He also averaged 2.9 steals per game both years Michael was gone and was the steals leader in 95. But what people don't like to talk about is his 95 season. Yes, Scottie's 94 season was his best season but in his 1995 season, his second season without Jordan, his stats dipped slightly and the Bulls were 23-25 by the All Star break. It was the return of Michael Jordan that allowed the Bulls to turn it around. Jordan only played 17 games that season and the team went 13-4 with Jordan in the line up. They finished 47-35. So in his second year the Bulls were clearly struggling w/o Jordan. Bulls ended up going to the Semifinals in 1995 with the returned Jordan who hasn't competed in basketball for the last nearly 2 years and lost 2-4 vs Shaq and Penny's Magic.
Right on the money with Paul Pierce. Lakers Fan here. Till this day, the 2008 finals still hurts! I don't even want to put the link here to Paul Pierce's MVP highlights. Kobe would have had 6 rings. But, I do have mad respect for Paul Pierce's game and attitude.
"6 most disrespected players in NBA history". Disrespects Hakeem Olajuwon, a player that was better than the 6 mentioned. Jordan himself admits that Hakeem gave him pause.
I mean, he really doesn't disrespect him. All he said was that he wasn't sure Hakeem would have won if Jordan didn't retire, which it's completely reasonable to think he might not have of Jordan stayed and never left.
@@ostrich6175 to took credit away from someone's accomplishments seems like disrespect to me. By that reasoning, in the long history of the NBA, every finals that MJ didn't play in should be called into question. Plus, MJ did play in the playoffs when Dream won his second ring, correct? I'm 40 yo, I remember it very well, people celebrated MJ when he gave the Knicks 55 in the garden. When he beat ATL at the buzzer that season. But when an upcoming team led by a dominated Center, beat those bulls in the same playoffs that Olajuwon and Co. swept that team that beat Chicago. People want to all of a sudden rewrite history as if MJ didn't even play. C'mon now.
Jesus you guys, I didn't say Jordan never had trouble against him. Obviously Hakeem was in the league all three years the bulls first three-peated, and guess what? Hakeem didn't win. No one did. I'm not saying he couldn't have done it, I'm just saying that it's not impossible to think he never would have won is Jordan didn't leave the bulls
I never saw these players play being born in the late 2000s but Steve Nash highlights r insane and that’s sucks he gets criticized and all the other players too like Charles Barkley
Melo could have gone to the bulls to help them win a ring but no he stayed with the Knicks for money. He was a ball hogging stat padder just like russ Westbrook. That's why they never win anything. If you are not winning in basketball then what are you...
Nba fans are such hypocrites. Bash Melo for not joining the bulls and staying with the Knicks and getting more money, but y’all hate KD for joining the GS warriors. Ik it’s different circumstances but if you dumb it down it’s the same thing
@@pjwashington9599 The difference is, KD joined a superteam already for the help of winning the rings he wouldn’t have won himself, melo could’ve formed a contender by only joining Derick Rose, but you’re right, it can be looked at both ways
I think bosh should have been numb 1 personally he is someone who changed his whole playstyle and was still amazing...plus that rebound in game 6 was underrated and don't forget he also got the block against green to stop him from tying it up
@@smoothgent1011 i didn't say that but who the fuck was there in Toronto tell me someone before u compare him also before masai their front office was shit that they didn't even get one borderline all star beside him to try and win and when they got in the lottery they went and got bust
You made some great points during this video but let me ask something. Are you EQing the low in out of your vocal mix?Maybe your bumping the mic? There's a lot of rumbling in the video. Love your content!
And to add the fact Charles Barkley wasn't even put in a 2k game away from the dream team in 2k17 Edit: I don't think it's fair for that to be after all the work he's put in
1st should may be DRose 🌹, cuz he is youngest MVP, and he is only player who beats LBJ in his rain of MVPs. And stories that he deserved or not, in my opinion he definitley deserved.
Great video! Just have to make a point about Melo: it's not that he's a bad player, but he's never been able to win because of who he is. I heard a good point being made just yesterday which was "when you sign him, you get Carmelo Anthony". His personality is what keeps him out of a job, sort of like Allen Iverson towards the end of his career. If Melo could adapt, giving you like 37% from 3 in 15-20 min per game, he would FOR SURE have a job right now. But, as stated in the OKC exit interview, he's not willing to come of the bench even if it's for the teams best...he tried the role of a stretch 4 as was clearly not good neither comfortable with it. THAT'S why he's not signed right now.
@@rodneywest1439 when he "retired" the first time because of an outrageous gambling issue that btw might have got his father killed by the mafia. So nah, I've been around for a bit

Homero Eggert lol i mean of course this isn’t set and stone. But there’s been so many stories, clues, and details where it’s past the theory. There’s confirmed evidence of jordan not being able to pay a mafia member after losing a bet. Nevertheless, you’re literally arguing about something that has nothing to do with my original point😂. Oh and btw I believe in God almighty so that’s that.
Damian Presha They don't play the same position and Michael would more likely outscore him. Yes your right there's a reason he won twice because no MJ. 😏
Scottie was the second MVP nominee necessary to a team to get that "golden jar"... ...I don't remember a team gets to the rings without, at least, TWO MVP nominee players. It's about to have the other team defense running from one side to the other all the time, too. Raptors 2019, Kawhi and "you name it" (Lowry, Siakam, Mccallum, ...) and Scottie, for me, was better than all those... It's a must to have, at least, two great players... ...and that's WHY we start to look for Lakers 2019/2020 with a different feeling...
Pippen shouldn't have made dream team at that time on his resume also rodman at that time should have being defensive player of the year and rebound stats
