No joke, I’ve never watched a video SO RELATABLE. As a Thai person living in a western country, you really miss the little things that Thailand has to offer - from the desserts to the snacks THIS MADE ME MISS HOME SO MUCH
My mom goes to Thailand a lot a d was there for a year once. She always brings me back candy and foods to make up for the time she left and it really makes me.happy because I feel like I was there.
I can personally vouch for those dried longans, fam. Not this particular brand but my mom bought me a 1 kilo bag from villagers in Chiag Mai and I ate all of it in one day. It's more addictive than crack. They're basically raisins but not as sweet and with a more chewy texture and flowery smell. I bet you can even replace raisins with these things in cookies and stuffs and make them even better.
UM TRIGGERED, FILIPINO BANANA CHIPS > jk ofc, definitely wanna try thai banana chips--thankfully i live in LA with some thai grocery stores if one looks hard enough :)
love longans chilled and with crushed ice, had them in those yellow labeled cans...mangosteens are seasonal favorites too...so as those durians...love them fresh as well as those preserves and candies...!!! yum! yum! 😀😋👍👌
When you order on Amazon is it only the 4 pack that's available?! I want to buy some but just one of each to try first but all I see is a 4 pack for the freezed dried fruits.
Do you have recipes for cilantro crepe snacks? I had it in Thailand. They sold it in stacks. They were flaky savory and sweet. Also do you have recipes for dried salt preserved shoestring cut mango?
If you are going to Thailand better look for "Chatramue"Thai tea brand look for the golden bag (come in a can too) ...... U can get it any super market like gourmet or tops etc..( including longon)
The Milk Power Tablet is like very rare item nowaday. It's very hard to find even though you know where they sell it but it's just out of stock all the time. But there're other brand selling as well but if you are really looking for authentic, look for one from the royal project.
Oh my god!!!!! You guys have milk tablet candy in Thailand too? You can get them in China too! I also had those when I was little,I can't wait to try the Thai version one❤️
Sawadee Kap. Nothing beat the Magostine, by far the best fruit in Thailand after mango. Going to Thailand on the 29th Oct. will send you some of the best pictures of Street Food from Rayong and Pattaya. Not to forget the coconut shell stir-fried with prawns, bush food, Mark Wiens will surely know about it.
Different kinds of snacks, and all of them look soooo good! Shame I have to wait another week to get paid... And I'm def gonna get at least three of them, maybe 2 each haha Thanks Pai this is great
I’m going to be buying a lot of these snacks for my husband and wrap up for Christmas lol he will go nuts for it all. He is from Thailand and misses a lot from home when we can’t make it back there. We live in Michigan currently
Thank you so much for clarifying, I didn’t realize. I use to think it was natural color from some spices. We have a food dye allergy in our house along with tree nut allergies so we are careful. I love your RU-vid by the way. My family and I love watching
I bought some Thai tea at an Asian grocery store in California when I had a trip there. After brewing, the color came out the same (orange like color) but it had a taste of black bean. The kind I bought is ready to use kind, just brew & add ice. Can I sometimes send you a picture of the tea I bought & have you give me some opinion on that ? I bought 2 kinds but only tried out 1 of them
We don't have Gros Michel bananas in America because Panama disease nearly wiped that cultivar out. Bananas were originally full of big, hard seeds. The ones that we eat are seedless and thus clones. They're genetically identical and that makes them vulnerable to pests and diseases.
Ok, so I just went to amazon and bought 3 of the items to try. The thai iced tea, the milk tablets, and the banana chips (sweet chili flavored. Have never had thai coffee but will probably try later. Now this has me thinking, I happen to love vietnamese iced coffee (cafe sua) I should look to see if amazon has any.
Oops I just realized you mentioned that in the video. I was playing your video in the background of cooking dinner so I must have missed that. I'll check it out!!
But will you listen to Shonen Knife's song, "Banana Chips", while eating those banana chips? :) Yes, an all female Japanese punk rock band--in the tuneful and light hearted Ramones tradition--wrote a song about how awesome banana chips are!
The royal milk tablet is very hard to find in Thailand right now due to the high demand especially from Chinese tourists, they usually buy in huge amount as it is also very popular in China. Moreover, if you want to look for this product in Thailand, you have to be careful with other brands of milk tablets that tried to have similar appearance with the royal brand. For your information, they don't taste the same and absolutely not taste as good as the royal one.
Thai tea it's my fav bev 👍😋 I agreed Thai tea from Restaurants is sugar overloaded. I stress half sugar and half condensed milk to order so I can taste the tea flavor..
