I have Amethyst. I didn't like it. I sprayed a lot out in the air and put it away for for months. Now I love it, deep rich and sweet rose. Weird how that happens.

I have opulent red and I love it so much, the opening is very confusing but when it dries down It turns into a sweet creamy jasmine and it's definitely not a safe blind buy.

I also got that burnt rubber smell with amethyst when I stuck my nose straight to skin - it went away after an hour though, and I just got the bottle so will test again after maceration. After that burnt rubber smell disappeared it was actually very nice. The rose, amber and vanilla worked very well together and was really enjoyable. I'm enjoying it quite a bit, getting more sweet than floral, and bears more than a passing similarity to scents like BR540. Not 'like' BR540, but somewhere in that space. Right now it's a 'like', but if that opening note goes away after maceration I could see it becoming a 'love'.

Finally someone said what exactly I felt with Badee al oud(original) ( it's a thin interpretation of what it could be + chemical smelling). I don't understand how it got hyped. It's definitely not bad but not out of this world.
Honestly the og Bade'e al Oud after that harsh opening I enjoy it, but the Amethyst version not at all. I have to say it definitely got better with time since filming this video but it still has something that I find very off putting. Even though I have never smelled Atomic Rose, I was hoping to have a "niche" experience with Bade'e al Oud Amethyst, but I did not; this fragrance came across as very chemically and loud until I put it away for 5 months. Oud Amethyst is now a vibrant and soft rose opulent fragrance. When I wear it now, I feel as though I am surrounded by wealth.
I completely agree with you Alicia, I just did a review about amethyst on my channel and I must say I didn't get that niche feel one bit. I was really disappointed. I hope mine blossoms as well
@Alicia davis I'm so confused about "letting it sit". The second time I'm reading this in comments at a frag-tuber. Is that really a thing? Does a perfume need to acclimatise to your house? Recuperate after an (International) journey? Should I not sell my fails, but wait some time? I actually have 2 scents now that are very popular and people say "it lasts 8hrs on them" and when I spray... nothing! I don't smell anything! And then there are others that everyone compares to perfume X and I know X, but this smells like rotten wood on me f.e. I know that both temperature and skin chemistry has a huge effect on perfumes and how they smell on you. F.e. if a woman has her period or someone takes medication it'll affect how it smells, suddenly different from the week before. But having it breathe or acclimated like fine red wine... New to me. Love to know more about this. Might change how I deal with EdT/edp's that currently are not my thing or even smell disgusting.
@@misssunnydee 😂😂 I get how confusing that must seem. It was also confusing to me too till I did some research on it. So the official term is "macerate" which basically means allowing the perfume to soak in the ingredients/notes. You know how they say "the older the wine- the better the taste" same goes for perfumes. So letting the perfume 'sit' for a while may or may not enhance the performance or smell of the perfume. It's just like marinating a Turkey overnight, the flavors will definitely sink in to the bones than that of those that were just cooked immediately. Pheeew... I hope I made sense with all my ramblings 😊
@@misssunnydee the term I’ve heard is “macerate”. once the ingredients macerate the fragrance performs better. Think of Spaghetti sauce, Chilli, or homemade soup and how the ingredients marry overnight in the refrigerator and very often taste better the next day.

I just received Amber Oud Tobacco Edition, and I am so, so in love with this fragrance. I am so pleased with it, I want to order ten more bottles! Wow! What a spicy beauty she is. I have not tried Bade'e Al Oud Anethyst, but I have the original version, and it took a few months for it to smooth out and sort of come into its own. When I first received it, it definitely had a more burnt rubber essence to it - but four months later, it is a little sweeter, with a very slight vanillic undertone, and definitely much more pleasant. I like to layer this one with a jammy rose that I have called Royal Rose Morocco by Chkoudra Paris. I think this is such a nice combo😊

I really enjoy your content and your honesty. I very rarely disagree with your reviews on the fragrances that I buy.. The opulent red is mind blowing beautiful. A burst of sweet, a burst of florals, and it dries down to a smoky tuberose. Very much like L’interdit by Givenchy . Tuberose heavy, but not quite as sweet . I am not exactly sure what all is in this, but I love the dry down as well .. Btw I own musc mysterieux, and Bades amethyst. I love those as well. The Bades is a huge compliment, getter, believe it or not. But I do get what you’re saying about the initial spray of it quite chemical smelling, but I when it dries down. It is beautiful . I have people stop me and ask me what it is. That is the only part I disagree is on the Bades .. Thank you for all the work you do for these reviews. as I have bought many of the fragrances you show.

I have Yara by lattafa and i don’t think it smells like poison girl at all. To me it smells like Signature by Montblanc. It’s a very hard fragrance to describe, but i don’t get the sweet almond note that poison girl has at all 😳

I have Amethysts, it was too metallic for me at first more like for a month, afterwards it settled and it was becoming a good fragrance. If you ever layer it please let us know 😊
I have Amethyst too and I agree with much of what you said. Particularly with that chemical like smell. I prefer it to Oud for Glory as it is slightly more feminine. But it is not the type of rose that I tend to favour. I did wear it today coincidentally and it has great longevity.

Amethyst opens just fine to my nose....no chemical vibes. Just Oud for Glory vibes with sweet creamy florals. Will let it sit for some weeks and see what I get then
Another amazing video. For me, Badee Amethyst was a huge fail; it smelt like Cough Syrup to my nose. Absolutely disgusting. I’ve seen a few other reviews of people on Fragrantica mentioning same. I agree that it has a very artificial presence that is not wearable. I even let it age for about a year but it didn’t work out. Opulent Red is another epic fail! It smells like Gasoline. No other way to describe it. Even my sister tried it and that’s all we could get; and I purchased it from a reputable source. Funny, I scoured through Y/T and saw a similar review from a couple of people. 💔💔💔

Interesting choices! I wanted to mention that I have Bade'e al oud Amethyst for over a year now. Letting it sit for a while helps a lot with the burnt rubber smell - I do not get it anymore and it was all I smelt in the beginning. The problem this perfume has for me, and why i never reach for it, is that on me it does not project at all and it lasts for maybe 2 hours as a skin scent. I enjoy long lasting perfumes so I never use it. Hope this helps.

I did a bizarrely big Zara perfumes haul last month (it's really hit or miss, but from 14 I tested I have 7 fragrances I would repurchase, 3 I'll finish but not buy again, and 4 that are either disgusting or barely have a smell on me); 2. for my birthday I got 2 designer perfumes - my parents gave me a perfume voucher : Hugo Boss Alive Intense edp and Chopard Love; 3. ✨️🥰 Based on your recommendations I just ordered Signature Night by Rave, a Fakhar by Lattafa sample & Andaleeb by Asdaaf sample (since I couldn't find them in regular size, but perhaps this is better too. Too many blind buy fails lately ) and Ard Al Zaafaran's Dirham Wardi. I still have Club de Nuit Intense, Bade 'e al Oud Amethyst(though the reviews are so mixed I'm doubtful) La Femme, Opulent Oud/Red, Essence and Eternia on the "Arabian " Wishlist (yeah sadly it got so so long I decided to split the lists into Real Designer, Zara Original, Dupes - per brand -, Niche (only a decant will ever be possible), Greek and Middle Eastern fragrance ). Though it would be great if I could get samples/decant or 10ML travelspray from those first.* (* Did this with more than half my Zara perfumes, all edp rollers. Saves a huge amount of money if they end up blind buy fails. Ironically, save three full size bottles (Golden Decade, Sublime Epoque and Clear Honeysuckle) I like most of the tester fragrances more than the perfumes I got the whole 80 or 90ml bottles from 🤦♀️)
Yess, couldn't agree more, you are right, when you are blind buying something it's so worth it to buy it in a smaller quantity so you could actually test it and see if it suits your style, especially with Zara fragrances, so many of them smell great but on my skin after 30 min they're gone, it's such a bummer. I blind bought Bade'e al Oud Amethyst a while back. I was so taken aback because to my nose it smells exactly like Raid insecticide. I came on RU-vid to see if it was only me, but luckily I found your review and I agree completely with you. I adore rose oud combination,but this one frankly smells toxic
Unfortunately I know exactly what you mean, it really has that undertone, which is not the most pleasant 😂 Since the video I let it for the longest time cause I couldn't wear and recently I tried it again and I have to say it's better, still not a fragrance that is a "must have" but at least it doesn't have that overpowering burnt rubber smell. Yes, Amethyst has a detectable "petrol" note which keeps it from being an otherwise decent fragrance. I think it's labdanum mixed with a leather chemical, isobutyl quinoline, I think. Some people like it--I used to wear it around the house but never outside. Havent purchased anothrer bottle if it though, as you said, there are many other rose/oud combos that dont smell llike tires.
Honestly I haven't worn it outside the house cause I'm thinking what if I apply it then I will suffocate all people around me with that weird/unpleasant smell that I got myself 😂I personally don't know where it might come from, but I got it in Ramz Gold by Lattafa as well, very similar gasoline vibe. I have Bedee Al Oud Amethyst as well and didn't really dig it at first. I understand the chemical, rubbery smell you refer to and must say that it settled down with time and I now love it. On me and on my husband. It is a beast performer and I sadly don't think I can pull it off during the warmer months. I can't wait for it to cool down again so I can enjoy it again. I think this might grow on you in the next few months. Please do an update if you change your mind.

I was highly impressed by my first Al Haramain fragrance “Amber Musk” which is a phenomenal clone of Ombré Nomade by Louis Vuitton. Since I’m not a huge fan of Gourmand or Sweet fragrances, Tobacco Vanille is one of the few Vanilla/Tobacco fragrances which I absolutely adore, along with Xerjoff Naxos and Swiss Arabian Shaghaf Oud (Killian Black Phantom was very impressive as well;) How would you compare Amber Oud Tobacco edition with the fragrances mentioned above? (If it’s spicier…I’m sold;)

Al Haramain has a lot of amazing fragrances, I have on my to try list a lot from them, even a lot of their oils. Do you find Amber Musk unisex or is it more masculine leaning? I have Penthouse Windsor by Afnan which is inspired by Ombre Nomade and there's another fragrance from Lattafa Pride - Al Qiam Gold in the same scent profile, both are very beautiful 🌠
@@AFragrantGlance I purchased almost the whole Amber Oud Collection (Amber Oud “Gold”, Amber Oud “Gold Extreme”, Amber Oud “Tobacco”, and Amber Oud “Ruby”), they’re fantastic! “Amber Musk” is a more unisex and wearable interpretation of the Ombré Nomade DNA. (The Raspberry and Musk are amazing) I have recently found a more accurate clone of Ombré Nomade called “Royal Night” by the Woods Collection which leans more Masculine. Performance on both of these fragrances are approaching beast mode territory and it is not redundant to own both!

I got Opulent red in May and it is indeed a challenging fragrance. I absolutely hated it at the beginning and ended loving it for the originality and its challenging facets. I needed to let it set a week or so to really appreciate the leather note which at the beginning was straight up vinyl/petroleum type of textile. I layered it with Raghba Wood Intense ad it was amazing. sounds crazy but RWI is similar to CUOIUM from Orto Parisi without the strong leather/animalic note, so I tried to mix it with Opulent red and it was even more sensual...
Yes the leather note is prominent, very strong and slightly artificial. It is a very challenging perfume. I would not even be able to classify this one masculine nor feminine it is strong, animalic, but very original. It is a true unisex in my opinion but not everyone can handle it, if you know what I mean. Some days I love it, some others I can’t pull it. On the other it is so affordable and worth having just for the originality😊 NB: some people say it smells like gasoline just FYI…

I did, it got better but it was a long process 😂 I don't get that burnt tires smell that much (but I still get it), I got more of the rose, that sweet sour undertone and a warm vanilla mixed with dry woody undertones, now I can detect more notes in the scent and it doesn't smell so much like a chemical mess. But I still don't know if I enjoy it, I barely wore it.🌠
I have that Badee al oud amethyst after try the decant of that and oud for glory. I like it, got a compliment of it and keep it on my collection, but I have to agree with you that there are some points of this fragrance can hold me back to wear it 😅. Like a rubber scent, synthetic, and many more. For me amethyst is a lychee with saffron vibes, and rose and I dunno what else. It gives me mixed feelings between love and not hate but 'not today'. I love the performance bcs it can stay soooooo long and fragrant enough for days, even in a large room. But I can't wear it as my signature or as often as I want bcs the complexity of the scent. It's also not a success dupe for initio atomic rose.

Amethyst is a fragrance I love (I got that synthetic vibe on the first sprays). I get a strong leathery vibe with a soft rose-jasmine combo from it and I love it. I smelled Amber Oud TE side-by-side with TF Tobacco Vanille and I like the Haramain better. The TF has something that is too much for me. But you made me very curious about Opulent Red. I love Alien for Women (even though I'm a man). Do you think the Lattafa is more feminine than the Mugler?

My amethyst smells really really bad - burnt rubber and gasoline. It’s been sitting for a month and a bit better maybe but still really unpleasant. I sprayed a bit on my wrist just to try and 18 hours later it still “stinks” it won’t even wash off … any chance this will ever turn “pretty” ?

I also bought Amethyst and I am so disappointed of the smell. There ist no rose at all! It' s just a weird mixture and no developement over time. I really hope it will change after some months!
I've tried it since then and it got way better! But unfortunately I still detect something that reminds me of the first few times I tried it and it's not pleseant. But the notes overall got richer, the rose is sweeter, the sweet sour bergamot is more pronounced as well as the fruity undertone. Let me know if you notice any improvments, thank you for watching 🌹❤

Thank you for watching ❤️ Ohh so sorry to hear you had a similar experience with Bade'e al Oud Amethyst, there are definitely better fragrances out there. If you want an affordable musk then Musk al Aroos by Lattafa, very easy to enjoy, clean musk that doesn't smell like laundry detergent. If you want an animalic heavy musk with spices my favourite is Musk Mysterieux by Mugler, and if you want a tropical fruity musky scent with a DNA similar to Erba Purba/Kirke then Ana Abyiedh White by Lattafa or Little Hearts by Ahmed al Maghribi. Look these ones up and see it any of them sound like something you would enjoy 🌟
Give it some time if the batch is very fresh, the scent itself is very rich and I feel like it sticks very well to skin and clothes. Thank you for watching 🤗🌹

the collection « Amber Oud » from Al haramain is very solid the fragrances are extremely strong and they project all day, i’ve tried amber oud gold and rouge but i’m looking forward amber oud ruby and tobacco do you know where can i get them plz ? i’m from Europe ( ps : really good video btw! )

After seeing your video I went to try Opulent Red and Bade'e al Oud Amethyst I couldn't find the others at the store. Opulent Red is unfortunately not for me yet a note that does not work with my headaches but I really like Opulent oud magnfique I bought it of course. Then I tested Rose Atomic at Initio (and Oud for glory at the same time) to then try Bade'e al Oud Amethyst with a little hesitation. The Bade'e al Oud Amethyst version is quite close to the Atomic Rose but still different, the Initio version is more unisex than Bade'e al Oud Amethyst which I find more feminine. I didn't smell burnt plastic or a strange smell (maybe the tester has been open for a long time) but I really liked the scent and so I ordered a bottle. I will tell you if at the first opening there are some strange things in the smell or not. The drying was really nice.

Amber Oud Tobacco was too much for me, I live in a tropical country and the weather here is incompatible with such a sweet and spicy fragrance, literally it can intoxicate you 😥😥

She probably hasn't got A/C, where she lives, however i was thinking why the hell hasn't she got a fan on, and secondly why hasn't she put her hair up! I'm from the UK, and our weather gets hot enough in the summer now, despite what everyone seems to say, and we have very mild winters, and i am very hot blooded, and hate the spring and summer, i feel so unwell through most of it, i much prefer the autumn and winter! I have ceiling fans everywhere, that are always on, all through the year, and stand up fans in the warmer weather to, and i have very thick long hair, and it is always up, never down, i don't know how she can cope with it down, she obviously wasn't lol
Honestly after some failed blind buys in the last few years I feel the same, especially with fragrances that are not blind buy safe, even though it might take longer to find samples but in the long run it's worth it for sure. Glad to hear you enjoy my videos ❤️
