I live in the PH, and one thing abt the Moondrops is that they are nearly 1500 pesos if you add in shipping cost. 1500 which is 2 whole pizza's from S&R. I suggest getting the case if you care dearly about your Moondrops, they'll save your Moondrops from falling and scratches.. exept for the sides.
The moondrop space travel sucks if you're in Philippines. During my commute, it's not loud enough to block off cars, loud noises, and taking people. My qcy t1c from 2019 was much louder and can block these noise. Kinda regret buying the space travel. Didn't know it wasn't loud enough.
@@ReganCipher yeah they really are not loud enough even at max volume. Yet my QCY earphones from 4 years ago could block off the noise that space travel can't.
came from reddit to see your review for soundpeats clear which I’ve just checkout recently, waiting to arrive and I hope it’s not disappointing for listening music and podcast, QCY HT05 cost around $100 here in indonesia..
A great, to the point, overall review of many great value earbuds 👍For me, it's the Baseus M2s 🏆 They truly knocked it out of the park by adding the best features of more expensive earbuds. Hope you can do a full review if the M2s, and/or Realme Buds Air 5 which is a new release as well with similar anc. Thanks again for a great honest review!
Thank you! Appreciate the support 🙌 I have the Realme Buds Air 5 Pro here which I'll be reviewing as soon as I can shake this holiday covid off 😭 I'll try and pick up the non Pro version at some point too!
@@ReganCipher Haha enjoy a bit of holiday ⚡Do let us know if you find the Realme claim of 50db ANC something new or same as the m2s and other Hybrid ANC airbuds. Looking forward to the review.
I have the beasues Simu S2s at the moment but put them in the washing machine (they survied with the left earbud being a little quiet) and in the 11.11 sale i will get the beasues M2s for only £8 as its on sale for $18.99 ~£15 and you get £3 off every £15 spent and i have a £4 coupon 😂 very in-depth review shame they're not the best but for the price ill live.
Soundpeats Clear - brighter, more emphasis on female vocals. Slightly more subbass, less midbass. MST - smoother, warmer sounding. Both sound good. MST has ANC and some button customisation, Clear has neither. Clear are better for calls
Really like your TWS review vids, keep it up! Also, which TWS would you recommend for the price range of under 40$? Mainly for music/gaming, so I would like good sound quality and also ANC.
Thank you! In the sub $40 category the only real additional option I've tried is Soundpeats Air4 Pro, which are really decent. Soundcore P3i are also a possible option, but I don't like the sound as much as the QCY option in this video
I think I said it in the video, the HT05 is better. It has stronger ANC, more customisation (wind noise reduction, more strength levels etc), much better battery life and is better on calls. Sound is pretty much the same as you can see on the graphs the tuning is similar. For me, the Moondrop is more comfortable but with the tips I talk about in the video the HT05 is fine
Love your reviews man! Keep em coming! Just one question - I know you've spent some time with the 1more Pistonbuds Pro Q30 - how do they stack up compared with the HT05 for ANC and sound quality?
Thanks mate! ANC on the Q30 is quite a bit stronger. The sound is a bit bassier with slightly better treble extension. Otherwise the tuning is quite similar. Q30 is definitely an upgrade but only thing to consider is the fit - the Q30 have bigger oval nozzles like the Airpod Pro whereas the HT05 has smaller nozzles and as such they fit more securely than the Q30, on me at least
Soundpeats Air4 Pro are pretty good - although the battery might be a little short for your requirements. The Soundcore Space A40 are nice - they've got pretty decent ANC, long battery life and good app support. Both have multipoint so you can stay connected to your phone and laptop at the same time - maybe that's a good thing maybe it isn't!
Thank you! Try this: (0 -2 2 5 8 2 0 -2 -4 8) or (1 -2 1 5 8 7 4 1 0 8). Someone at Headfi posted those - the second one is preferable for me. I left the HT05 at my parents house so I don't have access to them to see what my EQ was at the moment but it was a slight deviation on the second one. I actually really like the stock sound as well - they are one of the best out of the box tunings I've ever observed in a budget set. Appreciate the kind comments again!
Damn I keep seeing your videos and tbh I am loving your reviews. From the list of earphones you've reviewed, which of them sound the loudest? I wanna use them for outdoor use and commuting so if there's any that can block off cars I would love that.
Thank you! 🙌 Maybe I'll test them and see if I can give you an objective answer. Bluetooth has a limitation of 110dB, but your phone can also have an added limiter built in, so for example I had a Xiaomi 11T Pro and a OnePlus 8T a few years ago, and everything was a little louder on the OnePlus 😕 The quieter TWS I've tested have been Moondrop, Baseus and some of the Creative and Soundcore products, but leave it with me and I'll do some tests.....what budget are you looking at?
@@ReganCipher Oh man that would be a godsend! My budget is under $30 actually, noticed that most TWS are quieter now so I won't spend too much until I find a brand I like.
Hello, excellent comparative review. I was able to answer important questions. Thanks! I discovered your channel through reddit. Have you already tested the Realme buds air 5 pro? or any other similar from Realme? Does the sound surpass the Moondrop Space Travel and also the QCY HT 05? And, in any case, what is your recommendation for earbuds under 50 dollars, thinking about the best sound? Thanks!
Thank you! Yes, the Buds Air 5 Pro feature in my upcoming 'Best under $100' video - they're excellent value and better than both the MST and HT05. I'm just waiting for the OnePlus Buds 3 to arrive so I can include them in the video, should be done in the next few weeks 👍
BTW, you might want to wait a bit longer - I just got the Melobuds Pro (the successor to the HT05) and I think they might just be even better! Review coming in a few weeks 👍
@@ReganCipher How’s the MeloBuds for you? I just ordered them since they were just made available for my country. Just asking if you have any first thoughts if the earbuds arrived for you
QCY HT05 or Fiil Key Pro, I don't see many reviews for the Key Pro but they're like the HT05 but with Bluetooth 5.4. Can you also tell me your thoughts on the Edifier Evo Pro? Loving the videos so far!❤
The Key Pro are brand new - they are on my list to pick up and review post 11.11. Evo Pro hasn't been released yet outside China AFAIK? Definitely on the list though and thanks for the kind comments and feedback! 🙌
MST sound better but A20i are better on calls. You can adjust the sound on the A20i in their app, but even with EQ it still isn't as good. HT05 are better than both of them - they sound like the MST but are better on calls and have better battery life and stronger ANC
@@ReganCipher Tysm for your recomendation! I like how you respond to all questions in the comment. It's really help most people out. Please keep doing the god work, I hope you have a great day
@@ReganCipher oh, i see. Soundcore r50 is one of popular tws in Indonesia, it has the same prize as soundpeats clear. Most reviewers in Indonesia are endorsed by Anker, so I can't get honest reviews from them.
@@arienuzankhabibpranata it looks the same as p20i. They are pretty good if I remember correctly, but I'll try and get a set in for testing again as I didn't get round to reviewing them before the 30 day return period finished 🤣
Yeah it's a good upgrade. You're getting pretty decent ANC that you can customise in their app, smoother sound (T13 was warmer and bassier) and your voice is a bit sharper and less muffled on calls on the HT05 👍
Can you please tell me, recently I purchased huawei freebuds 5i. I liked it. Do you think any earbuds in ths price range better than freebuds 5i? Did I do a good choice?
I haven't tried the FreeBuds 5i but all the Huawei buds I have tried have been really good. I'm sure you got a good set. I'll try and get them for review soon 🙏
@@hasannaeem9206 the sound is much better on HT05. The tuning is warmer and smoother, on the r50i it's not very musical, more bass and treble with recessed midrange
Love the review! I found you from reddit and your recommendations for the qcy ht05s got me tempted lol. Unfortunately like another commenter said, they're priced pretty steeply here in indonesia. Such a shame because I was getting comfy with the qcy brand after having my t13 for 2 years and they still run great, I was just looking for an upgrade. I guess Imma try the soundpeat clears
I got the moondrop space travel for my daughter. Very impressed for the price. I found the calls to sound better than in this video. The looks are unique which I like, they stand out. They are not as big in real life as they might seem in videos. Very comfortable to wear. Sound is pretty balanced with just enough punchy bass. ANC is better than expected. I have Soundcore liberty 4 and I don't feel it's too big of a difference.
Which model? It's a good point - I try and test calls in scenarios which will test the earbuds as much as possible, because some subscribers in other countries or cities will have more testing environments than many of us. Usually, people will be pleasantly surprised, which is always good 🙌
@@ReganCipher i was able to put in my pockets some of those cheap tws (most of them for even cheaper)... qcy t1, umi w5s, moondrop space travel, tiegrade sk01, plus lately had the luck to buy soundpeats opera 05 for barely 26 euro's here in europe with amaz deals. I have to say that space travel are something just nuts for the price, is crazy how close the are able to sound compared even to opera 05. Is like opera with less bass, less separation and imagin among bass-mids-highs, but is just less dramatic than it seems. With the huge pro's that space does fit wonderfully, instead opera are bit of a mess with stock tips (is not a design problem like explained in many video's, is just a combination of very short stock eartips and congiuntion beetween driver seat and eartips, i solved for the most with akg k321 eartips that i had left in the house since years, and even better with some qkz foam tips that sound on opera like a dream, but those ones are unusable in real life, cause they are so long that they cannot fit anymore into the charging box). But even the fact that space travel are able to even compare to opera is nuts enough to me, considering that those things slaughter 2-3x times priced tws. At this point is clear enough that we are entering on some serious competition, to the point that is useless to waste big money except for a not money sane passion on the tws markets. Back then other tws i've used have some quirks, they sound decent but everytime they lack something big (still eq can help many times, like on my umi w5s that was my dayli for years, or qcy t1), but those days is just crazy how good they sound out of the box, and even better with wavelets with some eq's generated on squiglink. In facts i bought opera casually and i use those at home, but out of home space's are my main tws (even because if i smash them can buy again for so cheap). Really hope that moondrop put out in next years space travels 2 for same price with even better sounds (who knows...maybe ultrasonic for cheaper? like happened with necokake and space's)
Thank you! Always good to see who's coming over from the earbuds sub 🙌 glad you found it useful, I'll keep the comparisons coming as this one seems to have been popular
I think I covered most of the pros and cons in the video, but in summary: MST - Sounds better, great presets, has ANC (although it's pretty average), customisable controls (with limitations) Clear - better case, better for calls, better battery life, better controls Just pick based on which of those things are most important to you 👍
Hi, i love the review; What is the size of the mouthpiece on the T13 Anc? Is it the same as the T13 Normal? And do you have any recommendations for eartips under 5 dollars?
Thank you! No idea about the T13 ANC I'm afraid, but I don't think the dimensions are the same as the oid T13 - looks more similar to the HT05. For eartips under $5, really depends on the earbud. I put a link to the Feaulle ones I use on the HT05 in the description, they're good but only work well with select models. EPZ also tend to do good value eartips 👍
Hadn't heard of the Clear before this video, but i like the unique look. Do you have any thoughts about how it compares to the Free 2 Classic? I can get them at around the same price in my area and I'm a bit torn about which one I should get.
Both are decent sounding TWS for the money. The Free2Classic is a little more balanced and cleaner sounding than the Clear, which are slightly more dynamic and a bit boomier in the bass
Fantastic comparisons. I am trying the Space Travel after returning some months ago due to no access to the app at the time leading to lackluster sound performance. Fast forward and I have enjoyed them for the transparency mode and audio quality for the price. Definitely a fun, novelty-like set as a collectible. Thx for posting and keep these comparisons up!!
Really like your objective reviews the most of all of them out there 👍🏼 I would be really interested to see how the Donner Dobuds One would stack up, since they are on sale sometimes for 35€. They offer dual drivers and a lot of people seem to like them, maybe you can try them some time?
T3 has less bass. Vocals are more forwards on the T3 and trebles are a bit more rolled off. Clear has a slightly more metallic sound to the treble. I quite like the T3, it's not as energetic as the Clear but it's still a pleasant listen
We don't have R50i in UK. We have P20i - they're ok, but I prefer HT05. The bass is heavier on the P20i though, so it's possible you'll prefer them. Both are very good budget earbuds though 👍
@@lutfikatlav7406 haven't tried them. I tried the A3i, and like most Soundcore buds it's a more polished app experience and good enough build quality, but the default sound was too v-shaped for my liking
I think they are A3i in the UK, just as R50i is to P20i in the UK. So, are you still recommending HT05 over A3i? (I don't mind about the mic and app).@@ReganCipher
Thanks! Hope I see a full review of the clear on headfi. I feel like HT05 has better sound and more features but the Clear has a better case and design.
Thank you! HT05 sounds the best, Capsule3 Pro has the stronger ANC and is more comfortable with the stock tips. Air4 sounds good with ANC off, but the ANC is weak as they're semi-in-ear (original Airpod style). Only get the Air4 if you don't like the feel of silicone tips, otherwise both HT05 and Capsule3 Pro are decent choices just depends on what's most important for you 👍
Hi there! I haven't unfortunately - I did see them, and I saw some comments on Headfi about them, but the £220 price tag put me off even with the impressive specifications 😳
regancipher.squig.link/?share=SoundPEATS_Life,SoundPEATS_Clear - the Life are a bit boomier in the midbass - it can make them sound more bloated than the Clear. The mids are more recessed on the Life too.
I prefer HT05, because it has ANC and fully customisable controls. The only thing that is not so good about HT05 is the controls can sometimes trigger with a hood or beanie. Otherwise it's superb for the money 👍
I've a realme buds 3s and you missed one point... The buds has Dolby Atmos support... I've a realme device with Dolby Atmos and it works like charm with apple music... The quality definitely enhances with Atmos
I couldn't really hear the difference, I guess it's something you need a Realme phone for. I've never seen anyone with a Realme phone here in UK 😭 otherwise I'd have borrowed it for testing!
Great vid! I tried the Oppo Enco Air 3 and really liked the sound they have out of the box, I welcome the treble roll off because my ears are quite treble sensitive. Which of the budget in ear sounds closest to the Oppo?
Thank you! How about the HT05? regancipher.squig.link/?share=Oppo_Enco_Air3,QCY_HT05_Melobuds - the upper mids are slightly more forwards but you've got loads of customisation in their app
@@ReganCipher The grind to break through the algorithm is real. Don't kill yourself to get there, but it looks like you're starting to hit the slope of the logarithmic curve. Good luck! Got me as a sub now.
Haha thanks, yeah maybe - this is just a hobby for me, allows me to get my hands on some cool tech early. After this little burst of reviews I'll be back to one every couple of weeks - I know some RU-vidrs do this full time but that's never going to be for me, I think you maybe lose a little impartiality if you start looking at the monetary element of reviews which would defeat the object of doing it for me at least. Great to have you as a sub, thanks again for reaching out 🙌
I like the design of soundpeats clear Could you please help me to find out between honor choice x5 or soundpeats clear. My priority is balanced sound signature with little bit bass boosted and clearer phone calls
I've never heard of the Honor Choice.....I will try to get hold of them to test them, but anyway the Soundpeats are good. Very good for cheap earbuds 👍
For calls - listen for yourself and see what you think, both have real life call samples here. For music, Clear are bassier and a bit colder in the tone. HT05 are more my scene with smoother vocals and a warmer, silkier sound 👍
Hey Regan! Which one has the best sound quality (for music) in your opinion between the Clear and the T13 and/or T13 ANC 2? Thanks buddy, I love your reviews, been of great help!
Thank you! The Clear are more balanced - the T13 are quite bassy and the vocals are a bit more set back. Clear are more your typical v-shaped sound, better for energetic genres. I have heard the current batch of the Clear might not be quite as good though, so that's something I would maybe be careful of. The only thing putting me off with the old T13 is their age - they're only BT 5.1 and they'll have been sat in warehouses or on shelves for a while so you might find they don't last as long 👍
@@ReganCipher Thank you very much dude! I've alredy dismissed the Engine 4 thanks to your review because of the weight, bulkyness and I think those would get me tired soon (plus, I save some bucks). I hope the Clear end up cool for me. Much appreciated my friend, I owe you a beer. Good luck from Argentina.
@@wikingfaust no problem at all my friend 👍 always nice to hear where people are from in the comments, it still amazes me people are watching the reviews from these places I've always wanted to visit 😁 Enjoy the Clear and thanks again for the support 🙌
Heya, how's the soundstage, imaging and resolution of the ht05 as compared to the moondrop space travel? Planning to pick up the ht05 soon, do you still recommend these or are there better alternatives?
To be honest, the imaging and resolution are pretty mediocre compared to, for example, a $70 iem like SIMGOT, Kefine etc. Because of the lack of space in TWS due to battery, mics, sensors, chipset etc, it's more difficult to manipulate the sound through airflow. TWS manufacturers also have to add in additional cost for battery, sensors, chipset etc so the drivers tend to be average quality. Moondrop and QCY at least both used LCP DDs here, so the transients are ok and coupled with good tuning, it means you're getting good bang for buck by TWS standards. The vertical staging feels slightly wider on the MST, but you can open the sound up a bit on the HT05 by adjusting the right frequencies in the EQ. You've also got the HT08 Melobuds Pro, which I reviewed since. The ANC is better, the sound is a bit cleaner than the warmer leaning HT05. Again, the staging is a bit more intimate so it still needs a tweak
@@ReganCipher Thanks for the prompt and detailed insight. My preferred sound profile is actually warm, so the ht05 seems like a decent overall pick. Any eq suggestions that you may have for it?
The Mini HS is the one Soundpeats model I was never able to try :( Picky Audio seems to rate them though. I guess it comes down to the style, which one you're gonna prefer to wear
Did you watch the video lol, I explain which is best for which reasons. HT05 slightly better sound, better fior calls and better battery life,, also better customisation. MST fit is slightly better (for me anyway)
I have! But I reviewed them on Headfi in 2020 when they came out - before I had my RU-vid channel. They were one of my favourites back then but they've fallen behind a little bit in terms of sound and ANC strength. Here's my review from 2020, but bear in mind loads of better stuff has been released since - www.head-fi.org/showcase/fiil-t1-pro-bt5-2-ipx5-anc-tws.24694/reviews#review-24465
For sound, I think the HT05 and Air4 are similar in terms of sound quality. HT05 is smoother in vocals and a bit warmer and fuller in the bass. Air4 Pro is cleaner and brighter. Capsule3 Pro is not quite as good - more v-shaped with less in the lower midrange and rolled off trebles. It still sounds nice though. Air4 (non Pro version) is very nice sounding for semi in ear but only with ANC on - if you switch off ANC it sounds bad, and so it shortens the battery life a lot. Capsule3 Pro has the best battery life by far, then HT05. Air4 Pro is the weakest for battery. All three are quite good on calls. Build quality is probably best on Air4 Pro, then Capsule3 Pro, then HT05. ANC is strongest on Air4 Pro. Capsule3 Pro and HT05 are around the same. HT05 has the most customisation (controls, EQ, channel balance, etc). In UK, HT05 is much cheaper than the Soundpeats products. HT05 is half the price of Air4 Pro, but Air4 Pro definitely isn't twice as good
@JMsportscards p20i has the most bass, but it's a bit flabby. MST has the best textured bass and the best balance between subbass and midbass. HT05 and HT08 (the newer, better version) are more midbass than subbass so it won't hit as deep as the MST. HT08 cuts the low midrange to make the bass sound quicker and punchier. Just depends what you like I suppose but I like both MST and QCY depending on which type of music I'm listening to etc
Great in-depth reviews but do you have the QCY T13 ANC/non ANC FR measurement? These two cost almost the same and I am wondering which is a better buy in terms of sound. I don't mind about ANC.
Thank you 🙏 appreciate the kind comments 🙌 I got a $100 head to head coming in the next couple of weeks while we wait for the next batch of decent budget releases!
Hi nice video! I am looking for a TWS and my budget is 50 usd, in my country the Soundpeats Capsule 3 Pro is sold for 60 usd, but in aliexpress the QCY T18 is sold for 30 usd, can you recommend me any tws in this range?
Thank you! What are your options? Which stores can you buy from? T18 is good, but no ANC and I found it to be a little bit buggy. HT05 sounds better and has ANC.
@@ReganCipher There are few options, AliExpress is the best option in prices, there are a few local stores but their prices are a little high, I have also seen the realme air 3s or the air3, I don't know which one to choose 🥲
I included call samples for the HT05 - I don't think it's as good on calls as the T18, but with a $50 budget I think it's good enough. But like I always say, listen for yourself and decide whether it's acceptable to you
The staging is quite moderate on all of them. They're all tuned with a dip around 6kHz, which prevents that artificial perceived widening of the sound field. MST probably feels the most open sounding of them
This is the one I use - s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_Ezw1CZf - but there's a new version h570, I'll get a set of those in and compare them maybe in a future video 👍

They well known brand for their IEMs, Space Travel build around sound quality rather than anything else, I'm happy as long I get ability to play/pause & prev/next song tho
Hey, Regan! What buds would you choose if you needed six things: 1) Great sound quality, as close to Harman as possible (I don't mind some EQ); 2) Suppression of wind noise in transparency mode (when cycling, for example) - the wind may not be suppressed completely, but just reduced to comfortable level; 3) Transparency mode sounding as natural as possible; 4) Very preferably, controlled transparency with multiple features and modes of work; 5) Very preferably, water resistance; 6) Price as low as possible? AFAIK, Apple's Airpods win in every category except for 6. To the best of my knowledge, the buds that fit this description the best are: 1More PistonBuds Q30 QCY HT05 QCY HT07 If so, which of them is better? If there are any other buds that fit this description, what's their name? I'm looking for a better alternative to my dying Porta Pro. Thank you!
Sorry for the late reply my friend, just back from holidays! ☀️ So, you picked some pretty decent options there. All three of those are warm-neutral sounding and don't deviate too far from Harman, but the HT05 and Q30 have the edge in terms of the driver quality. Not much to choose between the two of them from a sound perspective. The transparency and wind noise reduction modes, IIRC, are slightly better on the Q30, but the nozzles are a bit bigger on the Q30, meaning you might not get the desired stability when you're out on the bike. My preference would be to have one set for running/cycling and one for everyday use, budget permitting. You could probably get by with the HT05, but a cheap set of open ears, something like the Truefree O1 or EPZ S30, would give you situational awareness and also prolong the life of your everyday set. Something to consider! Thanks again for watching and for reaching out! 🙌
