I fully agree! My first impression after the test ride was, that the gearing is too long from the factory (cruising in towns @50-55 km/h was only possible in 3rd gear) and a smaller sprocket upfront would improve the bike significantly. Together with an air filter change, this would be the first mods I would do as well.

Needs a 48 tooth rear sprocket like the scram

Excellent Morten and I have sub'd so as not to miss more 350 vlogs. May I ask how tall you are, as I am 6ft 2 and thinking of buying a classic but do not want to look over big on it.

Nice video with great advice, l found an Iridium spark plug makes a difference for better starting, tick over and smoother running

Will def be watching your vids re upgrades etc. Am looking at Enfields tomorrow hopefully if its not raining😜. Hard to decide which I like most as a first bike after my test. (1st Sept). P.s You 6ft? Just interested have seen other tall chaps on one so dont think thats a prob. Guess will see tomorrow when I sit on one.

Thank you for the video but lets see what it has now. Full on throttle in 4th approaching a decent, longer incline would be great. I know it's not meant to be a fast bike but I'm trying to figure out if it can get on a major highways briefly here in the USA or even just hilly state roads. I put deposit down on your color 350. I really don't want the INT 650. I want SLOW but depending where you are riding, sometimes that can also be very dangerous. The 350 may be speed limited anyway but holding speed on a long incline would be nice to see if it can. I'll be trying some of your mods next year.

Just came across your video and it looks like we have the same mods. So far I have added the FuelX Lite (it sits above the battery) and a de-cat bend pipe with the stock exhaust (Indori is on the way). I just added the DNA air filter today, and wow! Significant improvement in throttle response, acceleration and top speed. The exhaust is louder too. I’m just about the fit the 16T sprocket. Is there a video showing how to do this and adjust the chain?

Thank you for this! I'd installed a DNA filter and high flow airbox cover on my Meteor 350, but I had problems with it. No doubt that, without the Fuel X Lite, the mixture is too lean. Now, I can reinstall the filter; install the Fuel X Lite along with it; and the bike will run well. Thanks again!

Just leave it alone. Enjoy it. It such a great bike. I own one. Id mod and custom some other bike. Keep this one as is.

Hi Morten. Did you remove the tank to fit the fuel X, or is it possible to fit witout removing tank? Just got my fuel x lite in the mail and having a go at it tomorrow

About 16 gear sprocket . What do you gain v/s what doyou sacrifice? maybe loss of torque at lower speed ?? nice vid.

Did you have to slightly modify air filter to fit? Hitchcock's is saying you have to for the Classic 350, "No - the air filter will fit but not the cover, the cover is too deep on the top mounting flange to fit the new 350 Classic. It would be possible to file this to make it fit (March 2022).

Why not the complete exhaust from Hitchcocks? I mean, what lead you to choose this particular one. Thx :)

I'm curious how much airflow is blocked by the horn to the hottest part of the engine. It's right in front of the bottom of the cylinder. I'd move it up under the steering head. Probably fine as is but I tend to tinker.

Plz do one dyno test...and performance test...like top speed...0 to 100 kmph... timing...if possible plz.

Bypassing emissions is a must if you wnat the best from your bike.. and being a small cc engine is not even thst detrimental to the enviroment. Also never forget tire PSI and chain lube and tighness, those are the biggest power robbers. Btw how is your mpg/kml after these mods?

Less sound = happy neighbors, this concept doesn't actually apply for a bike such as Royal Enfield... Why did you buy a Royal Enfield in the first place if that was your primary concern?... In India, Royal Enfield is not just a bike it is an emotion... There's pride in ownership of an Enfield... It is a retro motorcycle, and it would be such a shame, if the exhaust sounded like some modern Japanese engine... If buying a fast bike is a priority, then there are many options available in the sports bike segment...This is not everyone's cup of tea... Royal Enfield is a bike with heritage and history, it is retro motorcycle is the purest sense, as it behaves very differently from all other motorcycle out there, and it should be ridden as such...the dug, dug, dug, dug sound is what we live for....Made like a gun, Goes like a bullet ...

I have a 2022 halcyon black classic 350. definently got inspired after watching this video. my DNA air filter already arrived, I ordered a 16T front sprocket from hitchcocks they did meantion he stock chain on the bike fits the 16T fine I dont know much about chains was there a reason why you ordered thier one?. can I ask for your opinion how much of a difference did the 16T sprocket make to the overall riding. I have a short bottle exhaust with removed cats so its extremely loud so my gain I want to see with the 16t sprocket is wishing to see higher speeds with lower RPM😊

I plan to do the same modes on my classic . I ordered all the parts .I have one boubt any installation manual it fix fuel x lite . Already you showing the connection in video but fuel x unit will be exposed out side . Is it possible to fix the normal O2 sensor area as company fitted

Might as well upgrade the spark plug to NGK and all the relays. Cheap and easy.

All to no avail! Speed limiter still kicks in at about 70 MPH.

I see that the cat delete pipe, has threads, are these to fit the original chrome cover when used with the original rear silencer ?

How did you remove the classic 350 detail on the side panels, does it just come off with a bit of heat and peel off, or did you need to repaint panel.

How about having Royal Enfield acknowledge the problem with MANY classic 350 reborn speedometer failures. Most replacements don't correct the problem. An R.E. rep told me they don't acknowledge the problem. I have less than 100 miles on my bike. R.E. has my money but no concern about a faulty motorcycle? Possibly thousands of these faulty parts. I don't really want to modify a faulty bike. As it's a safety issue I would think R.E. would want to correct it on their own before there is a worldwide recall. Thanks for the tips on making it a better bike. I want to go about running it in properly but not knowing my speed is making it more than uncomfortable. If things get better I'll be using most of your mods. I'll let Hitchcocks know about your advising. Thanks

I think it's only speed limited in top gear, around 122kph. Having a speed limiter on a bike with 20hp and 120kph top speed is ridiculous imo.

Running a RE on more boost is never advisable ,its the most unreliable bike in India 😅😅😅😅‼️‼️‼️

Why spend money on all that crap when it doesn’t really make that much difference and certainly nothing on your top speed

I am thinking the best mod that one can do on this bike is trade it in on something that is better.
