Having your hands on the digging tool is very important when digging around underground infrastructure. If you use a backhoe, ditchwitch or a machine powered auger, you have no feel that you’re tearing into a water pipe etc. With hand held tools like this or even a shovel, you have a much better chance of responding to abnormally hard materials in the ground or change in digging sounds. This thing would be handy with a pressure washer for blasting out the dirt. Also a universal joint to allow for hollowing under footpaths would be great.
Great idea a core drill rather than an auger which gets knocked off centre, however I have never dug a hole without encountering stone which I think this will struggle with.Would like to try it but unfortunately in UK.
You could add a couple shovels full of cement to the excavated dirt, add some water to make a slurry and you'd have a cemented backfill, not strong but solid.
Michael: I can tell you live in San Francisco and haven't a clue about innovation. You haven't made any Videos, No Playlist, and you enjoy just spamming videos. I now have over 2 million views on my first video and business is booming. What you say?
I think its an amazing idea especially for some one older which i am . the negative comment below must not have used an auger and how much it throws you around . would love to get it just a bit more then i can afford now but i will get once a deal or two have gone through . Great idea .

Is this for Seniors only? A manual would have done it too but than you are a Senior and like to do it spare time. I am 81y and would try manual and if it takes me more time than what, it would be cheaper but I still like to hire one of these to tell me "manual is a good way".
Looks to me like if you really wanted to sell this thing you would have a website that had something besides a subscription to an email. Also was inquisitive about the cost. Read below about someone quoting the cost at $384.00. SORRY! There are less cost effective ways to dig an 18" or 24" hole for a post. Sorry I subscribed to an email which I haven't received yet. Filled out the form yesterday.
Sorry I missed your reply. I have so many videos, it is hard to keep track of replies. I now have an automatic email replay. So many impatient people want instant results. That's why we rarely see new startups. But here I am, over 2 million views on this video - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-G0MTVVs7QU8.html Here is my new business web page cat6tools.com/ See new videos here: ru-vid.com/show-UCHpr7ObeZKd3zGJh-bDOK9Q

Would be good if you mentioned that people should ALWAYS call 811 before digging anywhere on their property. They will come mark out your property so you'll know if there is a pipe or cable in the ground where or near you hole location. Your all metal tool will conduct very efficiently if it contacts an energized line, and maybe kill the operator. If I were you I would have warnings all over the instruction manual and stickers on the tool reminding people to "CALL BEFORE YOU DIG" call811.com/ As far as I know it's the law in every state, and there are huge fines if you hit something even on your own property. So stay alive and play it safe... CALL 811.
Sorry I missed your reply. Your advice is excellent. I've looked at most hole digging tools in the hardware stores and none have any information on call before you dig. I will be looking at adding a sticker to my diggers. Thanks so much for your excellent reply.
I will concede that it looks like a great tool, but the cost, once you add all the other pieces ... for what it is - a long pipe with a cutting attachment ... it's a joke! Way too expensive for the average homeowner and fencing companies would unlikely use something like this.
There is nothing like this on the market. It works exceptionally well in most soils and roots. Every tool has its place. When you have a large job and can't get that one last hole, this digger make get your job done.
Well I am still in business 3 years later and my clients are home owners, contractors, and cities and utility companies. More and more underground work requires finding the utility before bring in the heavy equipment. So they joke is on you, time did tell.
